Book Of Divine Creatures

There were no trouble seeking me even when I reach the end of the forest. Sleepy was still sleeping soundly. I don't really know if this was the characteristics of a Metal Black Beetle. Wait, that is right, I still haven't recorded the Metal Black Beetle on the Book of Divine Creatures.

"Book!"

The book appeared and I opened it. From what I can recall, you need to slam the book on the creature. Isn't that a bit harsh? But still, I don't really think that this book is not magical enough. I am quite sure that the book is just going to record it. I raise the book high before slamming the book on Sleepy.

Bang!

The book was slammed and for some reason, the book seemed to swallow Sleepy but spit out after. Sleepy is still sleeping and not doing anything even when I slammed the book on its hard shell which is what I did not expected.

Looking at the page 1 of the book, I saw a small photo of Sleepy or should I say, a Metal Black Beetle on the book alongside the stats of the creature.

3 evolution paths huh? I did not expect Sleepy to have three evolution paths. There are familiar terms but most are all foreign to me. Tamers tend to focus on strengthening tenor own Divine Creatures by allowing them to evolve. Sure enough it was hard enough to do but evolving a Divine Creature is one of a kind thing that should be hard for someone to have. I was also happy to have Sleepy that has an attack power but what made me further happy is the fact that Sleepy can also be a shield due to the skill Harden Carapace. Right now, having a safety weapon like Sleepy here, it can be considered easy for me to dwell into the society easier.

With me leaving the forest, I keep on going through the path and soon I found other people walking from the city's direction towards the forest. Most of them are still teenagers with Divine Creatures following them. Most people nowadays have Divine Creatures with them as their own defensive companion whenever going to hunt.

I don't really care about these guys since they are just mere passerby on the road. I kept on walking on the paved road until at long last, I finally saw the City gates.

This City is called Laulea City. It was not the largest but could be considered populous and very well developed city. It was under the rule of the Monarchy of the King and the Queen of Rasaudia Kingdom. All kinds of people can be found here, poor, rich, merchants, customers and most of all, Tamers.

Though most people in the world have tamed Divine Creatures, not all people can be considered Tamers. If a person gets the licensure of a Tamer, then that is the time the law view that person as a Tamer, otherwise. you are just an ordinary civilian with a Divine Creature. Since I did not yet get the licensure, if I want to be a Tamer, I need to attend a school that trains Tamers for the Tamer Licensure Exam that is always held two years in the main kingdom.

Before I settle that problem, I had to sell two of these eggs. According to the previous Li Jin's memory, Cluckads' eggs might be common but every single one is being bought as it was one of the most common commodity in this world. Anyone selling this would surely profit. I would be hesitant to sell the two eggs but I don't have any money right now and can be considered as flat broke.

This world has four currencies, copper, silver, gold and platinum. 100 copper is equals to 1 silver, and so on and so forth. Platinum is considered as one of the hardest to get. 100 gold is considered as 1 platinum. A person having a single platinum in his possession can consider himself or herself as a rich person. Right now, I don't have a single copper with me now but if I sell this two Cluckads eggs, I will be able to gain 1 silver per egg meaning two silvers. If I manage to secure the transaction, I will be able to enter into an inn and pay the fee which usually are around 50 copper per night with free meals three times a day. It might be considered daylight robbery but it was really not. It was already considered as a cheap amount compared to the good inn.

And for why I don't dare sell all of the eggs I got is due to its nutrition value. Since this was a Beastkind egg, it might help me obtain more pearls if I consume them. A pity that I need money or else, I won't be selling them.

I entered the City Gates. Since this is not the kingdom, people can come and go as they please unlike the Kingdom's City which has a strict regulations. The former Li Jin has not get a single chance to visit the Kingdom, so I don't really know what the Kingdom really has. All I know is that, the city was called the Capital.

The streets were very busy and rowdy. I might have a blank memory about my own self but I have knowledge from the other world and from the looks of it, this place is similar to medieval fantasy towns with a bit of a twist, I can see people having usage of electrical gadgets like Smart phones and even though the houses look old, this houses were considered to be the house of the poor. People who can afford daily has the same houses most people on Earth usually lives in and of course, the rich people have mansions of course.

This world also have internet as I can see a few billboards with moving characters on them. If I have not seen the property of a billboard in the past, I might think this is a big television. In my view, it was like a combination of steampunk, advanced technology and a bit of fantasy.

Gaea is divided into four races of the so called humanity. Though they couldn't be considered human, history of this world labeled them as humanity so I have no care about it. The first one would be the mortals which is the normal humans. No magic powers but one of the most populous race in the world. I could be considered as a human if not for the strange Book of Divine Creatures that allowed me to use this pocket dimension of mine.

The next one is the Elves. They have twice lifespans longer compared to humans and their very most conspicuous trait are, all of them are blonde, green eyes, long ears and has a strong ability of magic. They are also the second race that are populous in the world. Most stories might be having elves and mortals to quarrel and do not get along but this world do not and everyone views them equally.

Third are the Dwarves. They are also populous and has the same populations with elves. They are shorter than normal people and an a.d.u.l.t can be around the size of a seven year old kid. They have proficiency in magic but weaker than the elves and they most of the time had a business or talent of peddling or blacksmithing. Unlike the traditional dwarves I know, dwarves do not have long beards and most of the time, shaves them which made them look similar to a normal mortal if not for their heights.

The last kind are the sirens. They can be also called Mermaids and Merman. They have the most proficient magic of the nature and can transform at will. Most of them are handsome or beautiful and are very good singers. Many of them are bards as they have the soothing voices that can usually calm nerves. They can also live on the sea but they can also choose the land. Many envy their ability to change their feet into fins and even the elves research the method on getting a skill similar to them.

Looking around the city, I can see all of the races are all in peace and they have no discrimination to each other. I nodded in satisfaction before I decided to go to a store selling eggs. They buy and sell Beastkind eggs and most of the common ones they sell is Cluckads Eggs. Since Cluckads Eggs are in demand and always out of stock, selling these Cluckads Eggs might help me get a good amount of money.

I walked around the crowded streets, passing stalls with different goods. All sorts of people and all sorts of Divine Creatures are roaming around the place. It was like a public market due to the noise. Still, that noise was not enough for Sleepy to wake up.

After walking for quite a while, I finally arrive on the store. The previous Li Jin was always buying a few eggs here whenever he got the chance, now, I am now controlling the body of Li Jin and is currently making use of the knowledge.

The store was not that shabby. In fact, it was presentable. It looks like a typical store and they have clean windows that are see-through and from what I can tell, it was a high quality glass and the walls are made of concrete painted with with red paint. Inside the store were several customers entertained by the attendants of the store while the shop owner seems busy handling business. I entered the shop and looked around. They sell Beastkind Eggs and you can find most Beastkinds eggs that are commonly found in the forest. They are all sold with great quantity everyday so checking stocks everyday is hard.

I lined up to the long line without hesitation. It was just normal to line up. Many kinds of customers were here but obviously, most of them are just buying eggs and it didn't take too long for my turn to arrive.

"What can we do for you," the man on the counter gave a bored sigh.

"I want to sell two Cluckads Eggs," I said to him while holding the Cluckads Eggs.

"Cluckads Eggs!" The guy stared hard on the eggs I was holding before nodding.

"Good quality Cluckads Eggs and were fresh. Cluckads Eggs can be bought one silver per egg but since it was a fresh one, this would be 1 silver and 50 copper. Are you willing to give transaction?" he looked at me.

I nodded. I really need money right now and the extra one silver will be quite good. I didn't bother to haggle since I can't tell the quality of the eggs and I might embarrass myself if I do that. I gave the two eggs and the man on the counter quickly gave me 3 silver. This is enough for me, but it won't last a week. I need to get more money soon.

Holding the three Silver coins, I think making Sleepy grow stronger should be the first priority and hunting will be a good job for later if I want to become a licensed Tamer.
