Bored Gamer in Other Worlds

857 Chapter 857 Game of Ball

"I guess it's normal to be kicked out from high school if i injure the school's star player in the finals of all times. But i can't say I'm sorry though. Hehehe. That boy's groin must be hurting even now."

Clark chuckled a few as he remembered what had happened last night. Alas, the expulsion letter came in his email this morning.

He would have to do a lot of lying to his parents in time but for now, that concern was not yet pressing.

"What to do next?" Our bored gamer asked himself.

He was in his last year in high school already and although he had joined the school basketball team but he had yet to show any significant promise in the field.

His predecessor Sean Evans was only a 3rd tier player at best.

"..." Clark thought about this problem for a few minutes before he conjured a tricky play in the end.

"Hmmm... I bet this could work." Our good gamer muttered. He got his phone and went out to a nearby court to properly enact his plans.

A whole day later and the internet was buzzing with the latest trending videos. One of those was of course something that was made by our very own protagonist.

"Wow! This guy is so amazing!"

"Three hundred consecutive three point shots!"

"This is unreal! It's a legendary accomplishment!"

.

..

...

The views on this one was still 10,000 clicks and counting. The video title was perhaps as brilliant as its content. It read:

"Supreme Talent for Hire. Only Accepts World Basketball Federation Team Invites."

Of course this arrogant claim was also met by a number of usual detractors.

"Fool! Who the hell does he think he is?! He's nothing but a no name wanna be! I doubt that that video is even real in the first place. It must have been edited and fake. Tsk. Tsk."

"I know that cheater. His name is Sean Evans and he had just been kicked out from the Lavemo Marvelous Bats for being a violent player! Trust me, this video is a sham!

The jerk has not even scored a single point in a high school official game. Making 300 three point shots is an absolute dream for him!"

Fortunately enough, the majority of those that had seen this video was holding their breath for a shocking turn of events.

They all hoped that a WBF Team would notice this young dreamer and prove his worth in the biggest league of the sport.

From 10,000 views, the video quickly got traction as it broke 500,000 clicks in no time. After the third day, it received 3,000,000 plus views thereafter.

Alas, our bored gamer did not receive even one invitation from any of the World Basketball Federation Team. From the minor leagues though, he got countless of them.

"SIGH!"

"It must be because of my age or they might think that I made a bogus clip for a 30 second fame in the spotlight." Clark shook his head.

Nonetheless, he remained patient since he got no other choice in the matter. He gave himself one month to continue this specific strategy.

Should this not work then he could always accept a contact from the minor leagues and start his sports career in that way.

Two weeks passed and that one video that Clark uploaded has already broke the internet a couple times over. Today, it has reached a staggering 20 million views and more.

"DING!"

"DING!"

"DING!" It was also at this time when our bored gamer received his umpteenth phone call since he created that video that has launched him to internet fame.

"Yes?" Clark answered.

"Sean Evans?" The voice asked on the other line.

"Speaking." Our good gamer replied.

"This is Luis Bell Jackson from the Los Pecados Wolverines. I want to invite you in my city. Are you interested in coming tonight?" The voice asked once more. It was a deep and strong one.

"Of course." Clark lightened up since he knew that his chance has finally arrived.

Luis Bell Jackson of the Los Pecados Wolverines. Only an alien would not have recognized this name and affiliation.

One should know that Luis Bell Jackson was in the constant contender for the debate of the greatest of all time player in basketball.

He was a 5 time champion already but he was still not content of his achievements.

At 40 years old, he wanted to get his sixth ring in order to solidify his claim unto the throne of basketball legends. It did not need telling that this man was a living legend himself.

He was someone that did not know when to settle and let go of his lifelong love of the court.

"Touchdown!" The private jet landed on the runaway and it spat out the short figure of our bored gamer. A few minutes more and a luxurious car arrived to get him.

Before long, Clark was standing face to face before a giant of a man. The legend himself, Luis Bell Jackson.

"How was the flight, kid?" Luis Bell Jackson asked after he shared a firm handshake with our avid gamer.

"I've had better." Clark replied. His eyes raked the muscle ridden tall imposing figure of the one who invited him several cities away from his own.

Luis Bell Jackson was also doing the same scrutiny as he was getting. The kid may be frail looking and small but there was a strange confidence that exuded from his form.

Most of all, it was his unwavering eyes that foretold a deep monstrosity from within his lanky body. Luis Bell Jackson found this weird indeed.

It was the first time that he encountered someone like our avid gamer. His intuition warned him that this kid was a dangerous opponent in the court.

Although these funny assumptions seem stupid at first but there was one way to ensure the validity of his guesses.

"I'm sure you had. But how about a game of ball?"
