Time flowed like water and soon, the couple had been dating for a year. Flora, now 19, was more chirpy. Frank, 23, still remained clueless. The couple got along well with no major arguments. To Greg's dismay, no marriage happened yet, but to satisfy a particular somebody, the families were officially meeting.

"You know you have a large family. How should we go about it?" Frank asked as he brushed her hair off her face. It was another weekend they spent together on their mini-date at the clinic.

"Hmmn. Don't worry about it. My sisters will handle it all. We just need to get a place that's fit us all."

"Any pointers? You know I need to prep my dad. He gets out of hand sometimes."

Flora laughed when she heard that. About eight months into their relationship, she had dropped by to see his parents. That day, she wore a pretty gown that Frank had gotten her. She had on fashion rings on her slim, beautiful fingers.

The moment Greg spotted them, he burst into tears. It happened like a movie.

*In tears* "That boy finally knows what to do. All my training hasn't gone to waste. This is good. Yes!! This is good. Hahaha."

Joy and Flora were at loss for words. What was all this drama about? Flora was lamenting on the inside. She would never again wear fashion rings on her way here. Never again.

When Greg calmed down, he wiped away his invisible tears and pasted a huge grin on his face.

"So when is the wedding?"

Joy smacked her forehead before replying sternly, "what wedding? Why are you like this ehn? And you claim to know everything about women and fashion."

Greg didn't understand what his wife was getting at.

"Dad, they are fashion rings. Frank and I do love each other, but we aren't thinking about marriage yet."

His heart shattered into pieces that the sound was very audible. Dizziness washed over him. It wasn't a proposal ring. That boy had let him down. Let him down too much.

After Flora left, Frank called her the next day to tell her that his dad was sick. He was suffering from severe heartbreak. She was left speechless. To cure him, they decided that both sides would meet when they were a year into their relationship.

...

Greg regained his cheerfulness after he received the news of the family union.

"So, Flora has a pretty big family. She's from the Jenkins family, but the Jacob and James families are intertwined with years long friendship."

He gave his parents a breakdown of the families.

"A big family is good. She must have grown up with no loneliness. No wonder she's such a cheerful girl." Pain flashed through Greg's eyes when he heard his wife say that, but he soon regained his smile.

"Don't worry. Your old man is very likable. I'm yet to meet a person who doesn't enjoy my company. My haters have not been born yet." He was so confident in his speech.

But little did he know what was coming his way!
