A year after, Clara returned. Her parents welcomed her with a feast. She was the only apple of their eyes. Of course they had to spoil and love her. There was someone else at the table.

"Mom and dad, meet Gabriel. I met him during my travel. He is my boyfriend." She couldn't hide her smile when she introduced him. This devil had tricked her gradually until she fell into the pit he dug and wormed his way into her heart.

...

After their little episode, he finally came clean. Her first night in a foreign place, he had seen her and fallen in love at first sight. After careful observation, mostly made by his experienced secretary, he knew she had someone in her heart.

"She only has him in her heart as a placeholder. She hasn't met me yet," he declared shamelessly.

His name wasn't Angel. His name was Gabriel Levy. He didn't own a small company. He was the most popular CEO where she went to. His family had been in business for generations. The only truth he revealed was about his love life. She was his first girlfriend.

After they talked it out, and he came clean about his schemes, Clara gave it a clear thought and their relationship happened.

"What a fine young man. Thank you for looking after her out there where our eyes couldn't reach," her dad said as he looked at Gabriel appreciatively.

"I hope she isn't too much to handle. Please do continue to take care of her," her mom added before pulling her daughter off to the side.

Clara's dad and Gabriel took the time to bond well over hobbies and business.

"He is not a rebound right?" Her mother looked at her with eyes that saw through one's soul.

"No mother. He is not. I like him. He makes me happy. He cherishes me," she said confidently.

"Then what about Frank?" She was relieved that her daughter found peace, but she wanted to make sure she didn't hold any resentment against the Cooper family.

"Being with Gabe made me realize that love cannot be forced. I did love Frank, but it turned out to be an unrequited love. I still adore him as an older brother. We grew up together and I absolutely do not want to lose him." She held her mother's hands in hers.

"I am so glad my baby grew up. Now you have an older brother and a lover. I'm sure Frank and his parents would be glad that you found your own happiness."

Clara nodded in agreement with her mother. The Cooper family treated her as a daughter. She was so glad that she didn't jeopardize her relationship with them over her fleeting romance. She was grateful for having an exceptional brother like Frank also.

The family came together to have dinner together. Gabriel spent the weekend over at Clara's before flying back. Clara would be going back to join him because her boyfriend had found a way to collaborate with her company, and she just happened to be the person in charge.

Cunny Angel.
