Magic has its ethics

"JARVIS, what laptop should I go for in which I can buy games?" Robin asked as he drove the car through the busy and little bit dusty roads of Guwahati. Of course he also paid attention to the road traffic while he asked that.

"Sir, I have gone through the laptops that are available in the warehouse of the top most electronic store here. They have some stocks of MSI Gaming Crosshair 15 and right now that would be your best bet. This laptop has a good reputation and would probably serve you well." JARVIS spoke over the speaker of the phone.

"Alright. I need some other electronic things too. Let me get there. By the way JARVIS can you pay off the mortgage for our home totally? I don't want my father to pay for that home anymore. And don't attach my name to it."

"Alright Sir, it's done. The remaining amount has been paid in full and this home is now officially in the name of your father."

"Thanks JARVIS." Robin said as he was happy that his father wouldn't have to pay any more money for their home. Their home was kind of their father's dream home and he hoped that his father wouldn't have to struggle more in order to pay the bills.

"My pleasure sir."

All the excitement that he had after acquiring JARVIS was slowly going away as he got focused again to things that were important in his life. Soon he reached the biggest electronic store of the city named Dalmation. One letter difference and this would have been a dog's breed.

Whatever...

"I want to buy an MSI Gaming Crosshair 15." Robin asked for the laptop directly without flinching. He didn't care how much it would cost him as JARVIS was there and he had more than enough money to buy 40 laptops in one swipe.

The sales assistant  who had casually looked at the person who had arrived had his eyes almost wide open. This was a big customer. It was better to 'care' for this person well.

"Please wait a moment sir." the sales person almost ran to get the laptop that Robin had asked for. The shop was quite a big one with proper decorations of various gadgets, accessories ranging from hard drives to mobiles. After a few seconds of wait, the sales person was back with a big cardboard box that had a very cool design.

MSI was known for its gaming laptops and since it was one of the best in the market, the packing was done in an exquisite style. It looked beautiful with a black and red design all over the cardboard. One could already imagine how glamorous the laptop would be.

"Sir, here is your laptop. It costs 1,14,590 rupees ( 1407 dollars). It comes with a warranty of 2 years and if you want we can do insurance that would cover accidental damage too."

"Yes. do it." Robin said as by nature he was a person who wanted to take precautions but he had forgotten that money was kind of no use to him. If the laptop suffered any accidents he would probably end up buying a new one.

Being a rich guy was really something else.

The sales person looked happy that this person didn't even bother to lower the price. He loved customers like these. Within no time the process of insurance was done.

"Give me an IPhone 14 Pro with the latest airpods and also a 10 gen IPad." Robin said as he needed to get himself some fancy things. All these times he had been dreaming of owning an IPhone but now he could afford it.

The sales person was beaming in joy from inside as he again went back to fulfil the wishes of his rich customer. After a minute or so he came back with all the things that he had asked for.

"Sir the total would be 3,00,581 rupees but you have brought many things so we will overlook the 581 rupees and you can pay the rest (3685 dollars)." the sales person said. Robin didn't really care and gave his card. The card was swiped and the amount was paid in full.

Robin took all the things in his hand and went back to his car. It was time to go back home. He didn't go buy dresses or something for himself. Those kinds of shopping were useless to him as he had been accused of having no fashion sense.

He would probably buy things that would make him look out of place. He would go shopping with either his cousin or his mother. After taking things away, he returned to his home. It was time to download some games and see what he could do.

"JARVIS, my power is to bring things from games to the real world. It was in this way I brought you."

"Understood sir, do you want me to go through games that would be most suitable for you right now?"

"Yes. Well not everything. I just want you to keep an eye and suggest things that would help me. Right now I am playing skyrim and acquiring new strength but I can't proceed at home any more. I need to be out of the house for sometime. This trip to Europe will help me as I can acquire power and strength with no one noticing."

"Understood sir, I will keep an eye on this and make a proper plan for you."

Robin was busy trying and opening new toys that he had just bought. He didn't buy for his mother because she would scream saying he had spent money on things that she didn't need. It was better to wait for sometime before he could drop the fact that her son had become one of the top 0.1% of the world.

At first he tried his new mobile. IPhone was known for its smooth function but it was less versatile than an Android. Robin had already thought of maintaining both the mobiles. After checking his new phone he went for his new laptop.

In no time, the laptop was one and the first thing he did was to buy some games from Steam that JARVIS had suggested that could help him like Hollow Knight which contains one or two charms that would help him in protection, Command and Conquer games that could help him make weapons and stuffs that would make him a huge army. In fact this thing could also be done from the game Homeworld which also had advanced technology and a mobile base just like Command and Conquer.

Robin's head was almost spinning hearing all the recommendations from JARVIS and he finally told him to stop. All these plans could be done when the time was right. Right now, he just wanted to enjoy life.

And games were the way to do it. Wasting no time, he downloaded Skyrim V: Dragonborn. A special edition. There were some shouts in that game that he needed. One of them was calling the undead dragon Durnehviir. Actually in normal Skyrim too there was a shout which could forth a dragon, a living one.

But Robin wasn't sure if he could call one. In Skyrim world there were already dragons so it wasn't much of a problem to call one. But their world didn't have any, but bringing an undead dragon should work as the dragon was already dead and was supposedly in a different dimension.

And even if it didn't work, it was fine. He just needed to make sure that he had one shout for this. The more he played the game in his new gaming laptop the wider his smile was. Playing on the laptop was like riding a fast bike on a straight race course. It was smooth as hell and let's not speak about the graphics. It was an otherworldly experience for Robin.

While playing this game, he remembered one specific feature of games. Mods and cheats. He never tried using mods in his previous laptop because it was said that mods tended to take more memory, speed of the processor, but now it was different.

Wasting no time he asked JARVIS to help him install a mod. He immediately tried one mod and made some random things out of it, but the moment he tried inserting his hand, he touched the screen he was stopped by maintaining the laws of physics.

Robin got scared as he felt he had lost his power. He immediately went to his mobile to see if he really lost it. But then when he opened PUBG in his new IPhone and he tried inserting his finger, it all worked fine.

"Sir, it seems like your magic doesn't allow you to cheat." JARVIS spoke up in his other phone.

"Let me check if it is the same with cheats." Robin said as he didn't expect his 'magic' to have ethics in its own right. He tried using cheats on Skyrim and repeated the same thing again, only to be stopped by the laptop screen.
