"You really aren't afraid of what you had seen or just saying it to make yourself look stronger in front of me ?" Robin was compelled to ask Cathrin. "No.. Also, your girls appear to be fine with what they saw. How come I should be afraid?" Cathrin answered. "They are not my girls." Robin remonstrated. It was good that Myrene and Sigret were a little far away as the couple came to the beach to watch the ocean in silence. Despite having relatively low EQs, both of the females knew when to give Robin privacy. Fortunately, the Apache helicopters were on the other side of the island, so no one could truly come and use their "eyes" to spy on them. Although, the other half of the island was actively attempting to murder them. Jonathan and his four men found it difficult to move about the island. Jonathan didn't first believe any of the plants to be real, but as they continued to lose bullets, Jonathan's fear level increased. Therefore, after 30 minutes of exploring, he returned to the cabin. The two Brotherhood researchers exhaled a breath of relief as well, and Jonathan was there to interrogate them along the way. They had both had training prior to deliver the fabrication that Robin had created. Because Jonathan was a member of the CIA, he was confident that he would be able to discover whether or not these two researchers were telling the truth. However, because the Brotherhood researchers had military training, Jonathan was unable to discover any contradictions in their lies. From what the two experts had said, a part of Jonathan had already begun to think that the berries were actually on those plants. Notwithstanding their refusal to reveal how the plants were gathered, they did provide some suggestions and cues as to how it might be done. Of course, they cooked up this falsehood themselves to fool the CIA. Myrene was soon located by Jonathan, who informed her that their exploration was complete and that they would like to go back. After receiving the same information, Robin and Cathrin also boarded the passenger helicopter. "You don't seem happy leaving the island." Robin enquired of Cathrin. "This was almost a perfect date, sad that it was cut short." Cathrin replied while blushing slightly. In Kuala Lumpur, it was very difficult to find a private beach where there was nobody but here they got one. Even though she worked in the media, she shared Robin's preference for silence. "We can go to a private beach if you wish." Robin remarked that if she wished, he could actually take her anywhere in the world. Cathrin looked at him for a second and then nodded her head. Although though she had always viewed herself as independent, she was aware that she lacked the resources to compete with Robin, therefore it was best for her to accept this and be content. Afterall, which girl doesn't like to be pampered. After returning to the military base, everyone signed an NDA form, and they were then let go after a brief check-in. "What type of business is it? They even possess such impressive military might." After one final glance at the enormous choppers, Cathrin was compelled to ask. She had just performed a Google search and understood right away that these helicopters belonged to the US military and that a private corporation could never possess such military might. Robin questioned, "You really want to know?" "Yes." "They are the CIA." Robin spoke the truth out loud. "What?" Cathrin nearly yelled. Robin merely gave a head nod. "They are really the CIA?? . Butb.... ut, God help me! No wonder they have such strength and such high security. Is your medication so remarkable that people are clamouring for a chance to use it? Are you safe?" Cathrin was now more shocked. She was aware of the medication and anticipated it to be a game-changer, but she found it hard to believe that even organisations as large as the CIA were targeting Robin. And if they really came after him, was he safe? CIA had all power in their hands and they could assassinate anyone. "The trials will begin tomorrow, so you will be able to judge the efficacy of the medication. And rest assured that I am safe. They can't even touch my hair." Robin reassured her and pleased that she was concerned about his security. "Are you certain?"  Cathrin enquired. "Yes, my love." As she was being held by the waist, Robin spoke. Cathrin struggled to move away from his hand while still sitting still, but she was unable to do so. "Who.. Who is you love?" With trepidation, Cathrin questioned. Robin gave her a kiss in return. April 11, 2023 The start of the clinical trials was scheduled for today. The first group of patients would be those who had been hurt accidentally, such as those who shattered bones or had gashes on their body for unknown reasons. Only these two categories of patients will be accepted for the initial phase. Since this was an urgent treatment, it was given to various hospitals throughout Malaysia rather than asking for people to queue up for it. Of course, the consent form would need to be signed by the individuals to whom the medication would be given. If the patient couldn't, a close family member would sign on their behalf. Cathrin wanted to volunteer for this test but was unable to do so because she had not experienced such an accident. Nearly all doctors were not very optimistic about it, but after their initial attempts on some of the patients, the story began to change. The doctors were astounded by their effectiveness in emergency situations. Several persons who suffered from fractured bones recovered quickly. And some men who had serious injuries in accidents recovered far more quickly. With just one dose of the medication, even the scars were gone. The trials had begun in the morning, but by nightfall, word of the miraculous drug had spread, and the national news had the opportunity to speak with the doctors who had given it. The information that the physicians revealed really blew people's minds. With such sensation of course it was not overlooked by the people from the world who cared about the new medicine. The stocks of Labcorp suddenly started growing in almost an exponential rate. As they saw how quickly their net worth was increasing, Buckley and Frayer on the other side of the globe grinned. Though they made new enemies and Frayer probably losing his marriage life, but it couldn't be denied they would get fucking rich with this medicine. Although Labcorp wasn't the real manufacturer of the drugs, they were the principal distributor, and Robin had negotiated the agreement that would allow the Labcorp name to appear on the medications. For Labcorp, this was the only thing that counted. But, this initial experience was not the last. The medication would go on to have a larger boom during the following few days. Evidently, one of the surgeons made a slight error, causing the patient to experience internal bleeding. After snatching it from the supply in a fit of panic, the doctor gave the patient the latest drug that was all the rage in hospitals. Naturally, he was eventually discovered to have been stealing, but the whole thing was exposed. Internal bleeding was not anticipated in this experiment, yet this minor episode made national news again, and the new drug was once again popular. Many praised the new drug for its efficacy, and some even initiated a social media campaign to make the drug available to the general public rather than only keeping it for clinical testing. As a spokesperson of Labcorp, Sigret stepped in at this point and held a press conference, answering any questions from the media and reassuring them that the drugs will follow the correct procedures before being made available to the general public. April 30, 2023 Robin was occupied with checking out the DPRK's new look from his phone while the trials continued as usual. DPRK had changed by 50%. In their new homes, the residents had begun their new lives. None of them would be restricted to farming and supplying the nation with food. With access to modern schooling, food, shelter, and medical care, they were able to enjoy much better lives today. For them, this was a brand-new way of living. Robin was happily scrolling through the images that EVE had sent when Sigret came to his room and announced. "Some rats are getting restless and they want to throw ink to your clinical trials." "Rats? Who?" "Phone Frayer. You will know." Sigret answered. The call was connected after a minute. "Good day, Mr. Kashyap." Frayer asked in a somewhat hesitant manner. He was still shaken up from the house invasion episode, and he was quite afraid for Robin. "Cut the chase, Frayer, I am hearing some pesky little rats are starting to raise their head." "..." "What is it?" Robin enquired after waiting for a response. "Even if you turned Labcorp into one of the wealthiest labs in the world in a couple of days, Mr. Kashyap, you also damaged other people's cash cows. Some of the businesses don't like what we're doing and seek to undermine the foundation we're attempting to lay." Announcement Read 20 more chapters on my patreon
