"You do not know what you are doing, Luciera!" Luce's mother reprimanded her, but she was too busy thinking about eloping with her love, Leo.

She lay on her bed, her back facing the ceiling as she thinks.

Her train of thoughts were only cut off when she heard her door shut in a loud way.

Sighing, she walks toward her closet and packing the things she knew she was going to need.

The thought of escaping the home she grew up from, broke her heart. Saddened her to the extent. It will break her parents' hearts, for sure. But when would she ever stop living according to their wishes? When's it gonna be her turn to be happy? When?

She knew, ever since she was a child, that there would be a time for genuine happiness to find its way to her. And she knew by heart, that that time is now.

Her happiness is her beloved. Her Leo.

The thought of meeting him again, excited her. She packed quickly until there was no space left for more things.

She will leave this place— her life long sanctuary— with a broken spirit. But she knew, that if she wouldn't, she would live this life with a broken heart.

She turned away from the castle and marched on to their meeting place. The tree where they first met.

Her childhood sanctuary, her home, would always remain in her memories. They will lie deep in her mind and heart. And forever, they will rest in there, never to be forgotten.

"Leo!" she shouts at the hunched figure just beside the tree, the witness of every second of affection and emotion they both shared.

His hunched figure's stance fixes, standing upright, like the gentleman he is.

"Luce! I thought you wouldn't come!" he shouts, running towards her with arms wide open.

"I thought you wouldn't choose me..." his voice trails off as he reaches her, burying his face into her neck. She felt his shoulders shake and her shoulder getting wet with his tears.

She patted him gently on the back before c.a.r.e.s.sing his hair like she used to, "I would always choose you, Leo. Always."

The tree was not the only witness of their love. In fact; the sun, the moon, the stars, the sky, the grass, the birds. Everything found in sight, could testify how much they loved each other.

"I love you," they said in unison, looking into both of their eyes. Drowning themselves.

As the sun goes down into the horizon, her lips and his met.

And maybe... this was the last time it ever will.
