Broken Tower Saga: The First Swordsman

Chapter 61: Omega Store (2)

"Do you need any help to reach your room?" Tanya asked, looking at the miserable state of Wrik.

"No. I'll be good in a few minutes," Wrik said, resting his buttock down on the ground. Then he looked past Tanya, at the short girl. "We did not get to have a proper introduction before. I assume you are doing well?"

The girl, Byul, only nodded meekly.

It appeared this girl was not good at conversing.

"She woke up in the morning, actually," the redhead said in her place. "I only brought her now, noticing she was bored alone."

"So you are not free to move around?" Wrik said.

This time the pale girl answered for herself. "I was released from the medical ward after they did a few general check-ups."

"But she was not supposed to do anything but rest," Michelle added.

"Oh," Wrik nodded. "Well, it's good that you are alright. I have a few things to discuss with you, but it's not the right time."

The short-haired girl nodded in response, not minding.

"By the way, have any of you seen Ton?"

"Last time I saw him, it was in the morning when he was running after my big sis like an idiot," Tanya answered.

Wrik could only shake his head in response. It appeared Anton still had enough stamina to pester Sophia after completing his worlouts.

"Oh, Big sister said to properly take advantage of the 90% discount that we got as the reward. She said to use the Omega points as soon as possible before the new batch of users come in."

"Omega Point?" Wrik raised an eyebrow. Tanya said omega points, not omega credits. He only has a hundred points in the former, while the latter—Omega credits he had plenty, almost close to thirty thousand.

"Yes, sis said, we can exchange one or two precious things that could only be bought with Omega points. Moreover, the 90% discounts are only in the sanctuary, so it's the best time to buy anything you need."

Wrik got that, but the problem was he did not know things very well. What should he buy? And the bigger question is where he should buy from? Even though he spent two nights here, he was almost clueless about this place. Not to mention he was awful at directions.

Tanya laughed, noticing his dilemma. "Are you afraid of getting lost?" She asked. "Don't worry I will help you find the path."

Wrik's lips twitched, but said with a radiant smile. "It's a date then."

Tanya snorted, but did not refuse.

Then a snoring noise came into their ears, Wrik looked down to find Jake the Archer was sleeping soundly on the ground. Davin was still awake, but his head was down in a tired manner. With the mild wind blowing, the guy could go down at any moment.

"Good luck, getting them home, girls." Wrik bid the three bewildered girls goodbyes, striding instantly from there. "I'm off."

He did not put the protests of the girls into ears, and went straight to the residential building. He did not have any stamina left to climb the stairs, so he took the other way towards the lift. With the discount in play, the lift cost only 18 omega credits all the way to the 18th floor. It was quite cheap.

"I need a bath," mumbling that Wrik went straight to the washroom of his quarter.

He already bathed twice there, but what could he say, the bath was too magical. It's the best place to recover lost stamina, maha mana and rest.

Wrik might have already become addicted to it.

.. .

The sound of a doorbell rang in his ears as Wrik woke up from his nap. He was in the bathtub, and almost unknown when he fell asleep there. Well, it was not his fault entirely, considering how soothing the scented warm water was, and how tired he was, it was only natural.

The doorbell rang again. With a click of tongue, Wrik left the washroom wrapping in a towel.

The doorbell did not rest.

"Coming," yelled Wrik, putting on his trousers.

Yet the doorbell kept on ringing, even after his yell.

Wrik felt quite bothersome with the noise. Barely putting on the trousers, Wrik walked towards the main door.

"Let's see who is this uncultured, uncivilised, barbarous. . ." His words were not completed when a punch hit him in the chest.

Wrik shouted in an 'ouch', even though the arm that punched him was slender, it hurt quite hard as he was unprepared.

"This is for bailing out on me," Tanya said, heaving a hot breath. Even, she was shaking her palm in pain. Wrik was not the only one that was hurt by the punch. "And did I hear you calling me uncivilised barbarian?" Then Tanya noticed Wrik was wearing nothing on his upper body. She yelled, coming inside the room. "Are you an exhibitionist?"

"I was bathing," Wrik protested. "Yet someone could not wait even a minute for me to put on a shirt."

"So that was my fault?" Tanya continued in her pissed voice. "Are you a girl? Who takes a couple of hours to bathe?"

"Who said only girls could bathe for hours?"

"It's written in books. And put on a shirt, will you? It is nothing impressive."

"Give me time to wear first, my lady," Wrik said, putting on a white shirt. The 'nothing impressive' seemed to hurt him more than the punch. And the worst part he could not deny it. Even with all the numbers in the physical attributes, his stature was still quite thin. Though there were signs of muscle growth, it was still a few months away.

It seemed bailing on her with two dead bodies (Jacob and Davin) was not a good choice.

"By the way, why are you here?" Wrik asked, calming his disappointed heart.

"I'm here to punch you," Tanya's fury almost cooled down. "Did you forget about the date? Let's go, I need to buy a few things as well."

"Now, but isn't it already dark?"

"So what? Prepare quickly, don't make me pissed again."

"Yes, Ma'am," Wrik said with a salute. Then suddenly, a thought hit him. 'Is this how it would be after marriage?"
