BTS: 2nd Generation

Chapter 11 - New Home!

Tuesday, 9:30 am, Seoul, South Korea

Namjoon stared at his children's sleeping faces. They arrived in Incheon International Airport about an hour ago. Their family driver, Mr. Ho, was waiting for them. Now, Mr. Ho is driving them to the house that Namjoon bought. There was deafening silence in the car until Namjoon broke that silence and started a conversation with Mr. Ho.

"Mr. Ho, the house that Mr. Han gave me is not yet properly arranged, right?" Namjoon asked. Unfortunately, they could not use the house that Namjoon bought because there's currently a demolition going on close to the house, he couldn't risk his and his children's safety.

Mr. Ho nodded and answered politely, "I think so, Sir."

Namjoon looked at him and said, "In that case, I would like to ask you a favor."

"Anything, Sir." - Mr. Ho

"Will you please help me and my family arranged the house?" - Namjoon asked. Mr. Ho's eyes lit up.

Mr. Kim never asked him for favors like these. Over a decade of service, this was the first time. A few years ago, Mr. Ho asked him why he never asked such favors or why they never hired a maid, and Namjoon answered him saying, "I don't want my kids to depend on other people. I want them to be independent. So when the time comes that we are no longer by their side, they know how to live and survive." Mr. Ho thought that his boss's way of teaching his children are incredible.

"I would be more than honored to do so, Sir." Mr. Ho said smiling.

After a few minutes, Mr. Ho stopped driving and said, "We're here, Sir."

They are now in front of a glorious gold and white colored gate. There is a path way inside the gate which leads to a mansion. That mansion is actually a gift from a business partner five years ago. But since Namjoon and his family never really stayed long when they visit Korea, they never used it. But even though no one lived in that house, Namjoon's business partner paid a few people to look after the house. Of course, Namjoon knew nothing about this.

Mr. Ho got out the car and opened the glorious gate. He got in the car and drove inside. The gate behind them closed automatically. Namjoon turn his gaze at the path way. The green grass on both sides of the pathway are neatly cut. Namjoon thought that maybe the grass was synthetic since there was no one looking after the house for five years but it still look like it was newly cut.

Namjoon then saw the marvelous mansion. The mansion looked like those 'manors' you would usually in movies. But more modern. Gold was all over the place. A fountain is located in the center of the path way. Each side of it has a curved path. Mr. Ho entered the right side then headed to the left. He stopped in front of the front door of the house. While Namjoon was admiring the view, he did not notice that his wife and kids are now awake.

"Ahhh! The marvelousness of this place is killing me!!!" Mishil shouted on top of her lungs and laid back down on her seat and pretended to be dead. Everyone in the car laughed at her reaction.

"Abeoji, you never told us we have a mansion here in Korea." - Ryung Shik.

Namjoon smiled and answered, "Even if I told you earlier, you would still disagree with the idea of moving."

"Not if there is place where I can practice cycling again."

"You know what Little R? I think I saw a skate park nearby. It's also close to that park." Mr. Ho said while they got out of the car. Ryung Shik smiled brightly.

"Will you take me there tomorrow, Uncle Ho?" Ryung Shik asked with his dazzling blue eyes sparkling. Mr. Ho nodded at the little lad who looked like he was about to explode from excited.

They were unloading the van when suddenly the front door opened and an old lady and some young ladies dressed in a maid's uniform appeared. The old lady was smiling at them while the young ladies kept their heads down. Namjoon was confused.

'Since when did I hire maids?' Namjoon asked himself.

Namjoon's wife, Saskia, was also confused as she turned her gaze to her husband.

The old lady noticed their confusion and opened her mouth to speak.

"We are the caretakers of this house. My name is Mrs. Go. I have been taking care of this house for 5 years now. Mr. Han personally assigned me to take care of this house until you decide whether you will use it or not." The old lady explained with a smile. Namjoon and his family smiled back. Namjoon then told them that he and his family are not very used to having helpers around.

"Oh. Then, would you like us leave then?" The Mrs. Go asked with a sad voice though still maintaining her smile. Namjoon thought for a bit.

'This house is too big for them. They would really need some help with things.' Namjoon thought.

Just as he was about to open his mouth to say something, Mishil ran towards Mrs. Go and gave her a hug. This startled Mrs. Go she looked at the sweet little girl hugging her and felt like she was going to cry. Mishil looked at her dad and said, "Abeoji, don't make Grandma go!" She looked at her father with pleading eyes. Namjoon smiled and said, "Who told you I would sent her away?" This made Mishil jump in joy as she shouted, "Grandma is staying!!"

"Oh, you remind me of my daughter when she was young!" Mrs. Go said happily.

A few minutes later, Grandma Go told the young ladies to help Namjoon and his family unload the car. She also told one of the young ladies to tour them inside the house.

........

Namjoon was the first to enter the house. He walked on an elegant red carpet. The carpet is straight heading to the two stairs leading to the second floor. There are lots of rooms on the second floor. And on both ends of the second floor, there are stairs leading to the third. The third floor only has five rooms but they are not like the rooms on the second floor. The first one from the right is a library, next is a music room the old style, next is another music room but modern style. Like the ones the use when they write songs or something like that. The fourth is an office room good for Namjoon. The last room is a study room. Of course, Ryung Shik couldn't help his excitement and immediately ran inside the library.

Next to the study room is a stair to the fourth floor.

The fourth floor however, has four rooms that are bigger than the other floors' rooms. There are a total of eight rooms in that floor. There is a storage room, a practice room for dancing, a playroom, a game room and the rest are guest rooms. There are not much things in the storage room. There are already a lot of toys in the playroom so Mishil immediately ran inside to play. As for the practice room, it is very clean and neat. Actually, all the room are neatly cleaned. Not a single speck of dust could be seen. Meaning Namjoon and his family no longer need to tire themselves cleaning up the house.

The house was huge! On the first room there is a family room, a huge dining room, a huge kitchen, four comfort rooms and a laundry room. Each and every rooms of every floor has their own bathroom. Namjoon and his family picked their rooms and arranged their things, unloading their luggages. The two kids however, was accompanied by maids and Mr. Ho. It was already past one in the afternoon when they finished doing their stuff and Grandma Go prepared lunch for them.

They ate lunch and rested.

'Ahh... Home Sweet Home!' Namjoon said to himself as he drifted off to sleep.
