BTS - Slice Of Life

Chapter 17 - daydream - jhs

Alex means defender of mankind

...

Alex sighs dreamily as she replays the performance of her favorite idol group. No other than BTS.

"How can you guys be this beautiful, charming, talented and still stay humble?", she turns to her life-size Namjoon cardboard. She bops her head to the music and before she knows it the performance ends.

"I wish someone would just drop something, twitter is so boring without bts content", Alex's lips form into a pout as she scrolls through twitter.

Suddenly a notification pops up on her phone.

BANGTAN TV uploaded G.C.F in Helsinki.

"What just happened? Did the universe finally decide to answer my wishes?", she whispers but then decides to ignore the tingling sensation in her stomach.

An excited squeal leaves her lips as she clicks on the notification, watching every detail in concentration while admiring their beauty.

Her jaw drops when Hoseok appears in the video. His brown hair covering his eyes and that blinding smile she loves spreads across his lips. His pearl teeth filling the screen and his cute dimples making an appearance. His hair dances along with the cold breeze, making him look more ethereal than he is. Ugh how much she loves him. From his hair to his outfit, everything was perfect.

Alex bites her lips softly as she makes eye contact with her life-size Namjoon cardboard.

"Don't look at me like that, I'm trying to stay loyal here, but your friend is making it hard for me. I mean look at him." She turns the screen to the Namjoon cardboard in the corner of her room.

Namjoon has always been her bias, but Hoseok would always have her in awe with his charisma. He was the best definition of a bias wrecker. She continues to watch the video, soft giggles escaping her lips once in a while.

For once the smile on her face doesn't feel forced, it just naturally finds its way to her face. Her eyes are twinkling in adoration for the seven men that helped her through her darkest times.

At the end of the video, she closes her eyes and sighs, how she wishes this happiness will always stay with her.

"I wish I could wake up as his wife", she mumbles. A tingling sensation spreads over her stomach, it feels familiar but her eyelids grow heavy and she falls asleep, happiness as her companion for the night.

Alex wakes up to the feeling of a cozy blanket wrapping around her. A soft sigh escapes her lips as she feels the warm sun rays tickling her skin. Alex feels happy for some reason and snuggles deeper into the warm blankets enjoying the warmth.

She feels the bed dip beside her but doesn't give it much thought since it's most likely her cat. Seconds later a hot breath tickles her neck and she squirms before slipping back to her dreams. She hears a deep giggle and then a pair of soft lips brush against her neck leaving trails of kisses on them.

Her cat isn't the type to wake her up this tenderly, she'd always bite her toes and scratch her face.

The movement on her neck turns urgent as the lips move from her neck to her jawline. Alex furrows her eyebrows, she doesn't know what is wrong with her cat. She stretches her arms and tries to move her cat away, but her hands collide with something hard instead of the usual furball.

Wait, what?

She jolts awake her, eyes bulging as she takes in her surroundings.

This isn't her room.

Suddenly a familiar chuckle flows around the room. She can't pinpoint where she heard this chuckle before, but she is sure she knows the owner. Alex turns and stares into the prettiest black eyes she's ever seen. The room turns silent for a couple of seconds before a screech escapes her lips.

"Jung Hoseok?", she jolts back and covers her upper body with the blanket. Her face is blank, her brain too slow to comprehend what her chocolate pupils are seeing. Her knuckles turn white as her fingers clenched on the blanket as if her life depends on it.

"What's wrong with you?", Hoseok furrows his eyebrows.

What's wrong with her? She was sitting in the same bed as the one and only Jung Hoseok of BTS, that's what's wrong.

Alex reaches for her cheeks and pinches them as hard as she can.

"Ouch!", she winces and rubs her throbbing cheek. Hoseok just stares at her in amus.e.m.e.nt, his eyes twinkling with adoration. He loves watching her do her thing. He ruffles her raven straight hair before leaning in and pecking her lips. Alex gasps and her hands fly to cover her mouth.

Did Jung Hoseok just kiss her?

"Get up sleepy head, I prepared breakfast", he smiles at her before getting up to exist the room.

"Wait, you are Jung Hoseok right?", he halts in his steps and chuckles at her weird question but nods.

"Then who am I?"

"W-What?", Hoseok chokes on his spit as his almond eyes expand twice their size. Did she bump her head while sleeping? How can she forget who she is? Is it Alzheimers? No, that can't be, she is too young for that. His brain is going into overdrive, trying to think of what made her ask this question. After seconds of silence, he looks at her.

"You are Alex, my wife."

At least her name remained the same.

Wait, did he just say wife? She is wife? No, that can't be. Maybe this is a dream, she thought. But it was too vivid to be one.

Her body relaxed and a grin spreads on her face. She doesn't know how if this is a dream or not nor how long it will last. But one thing was sure, she will enjoy it to the fullest.

As soon as Hoseok sees her smile, he sighs in relief.

"You scared me you little rascal, don't play such jokes", he pouts as he leans closer to peck her lips again, before leaving the room.

Alex freezes at the contact, her mind slowly processing the events.

Wait, if her cat wasn't what nibbled her neck, does that mean that it was Hoseok?

A shocked squeal echoes through the room as deafens her screams with a pillow. Her face is flushed in embarrassment as she recalls the way his warm lips kissed her.

"Are you coming?", Hoseok calls.

"Y-Yes, I'll be right there", she stammers and climbs out of the bed. Alex glances at the mirror t and looks at her reflection. She looks the same, except her previous bob changed into long waves that reached her ribs.

Her feet touch the cold marble floor as she walks out of the bedroom into the big living room. It takes her eyes a couple of seconds to adjust to the strong sun rays that shine through the windows. As soon as her eyes adjust to the light, she gasps. The living room was dazzling. It was a mixture of modern and cozy. Different colors spread throughout the room and the smell of eggs filled her nostrils.

She strolls to the open window and grins as she feels the breeze dance through her hair. The window looks out on the city and her eyes follow the countless cars driving through the busy streets.

The smell of coffee tingles her nostrils and she turns her body and follows the smell. She enters the kitchen and halts in her steps.

"Wow", she whispers. Alex doesn't know if she is talking about the amazing interior of the kitchen or the man standing in the middle of the kitchen looking gorgeous in his sweats and t-shirt.

"Your coffee is done princess", Hoseok walks to her, handing her one of the two mugs in his hand.

Alex was too dazed to answer him, but she manages to nod as she absentmindedly sips on the coffee. A satisfied sigh comes out of her mouth. The coffee tastes awesome, exactly how she likes it.

"Wait, how did you know how I drink my coffee?", she trails behind Hoseok. Hoseok moves to sit on the dining table and Alex plops on the seat next to him.

"What are you talking about? I've been making your coffee every morning for two years babe", he answers with a shrug before sipping his coffee.

"Huh?"

"Ah, right. Jin Hyung called reminding me of the BBQ dinner party that he planned today, you're free today right?"

"Jin Hyung as in Kim Seokjin of BTS as the World Wide Handsome?", Alex shifts closer to Hoseok, waiting for his answer.

Hoseok is about to laugh in her face, but the curiosity in her eyes takes him off guard.

"Of course it's him, is there another Jin Hyung out there that I don't know about?"

"Ah right, Jin. How foolish of me. My thoughts are all over the place, don't mind me", she nervously laughs, mentally slapping herself for the stupid question. Of course, it was that Jin, who else would it be.

Alex grabs the toast that Hoseok prepared for her and takes a bite. A m.o.a.n escapes her lips as the taste satisfies her tastebuds.

"Oh my god, this is so good", she compliments him with a full mouth.

"I used to make this for the boys, I'm glad you like it", he rubs his neck shyly.

"I love it", she gives him two thumbs up as soon she swallows the previous bite.

A couple of hours pass and Alex starts to get used to Hoseok. They even share a couple of kisses, but not on the lips. She's still too shy for that.

"How about we slowly start getting ready?", Hoseok suggests as he glances at the clock. Alex nods and goes to the bathroom to freshen up. On her way there she sees a framed picture next to the entrance. It is a picture of her standing next to Hoseok with a bright smile. She looks at herself wearing a glamourous wedding dress and Hoseok wearing a fancy tuxedo. It feels like another Alex is married to him, not the one who's admiring the picture. Alex wonders what it would feel like to walk down the aisle with the love of her life waiting at the end. Who did she invite to the wedding? How did the fans react? Did she receive hate?

"Why didn't you change?", Hoseok's voice snaps her out of her thoughts. She turns and her mouth opens at the astonishing man standing in front of her. Hoseok's broad c.h.e.s.t is hidden under a grey sweater and his legs are stuffed in a pair of ripped jeans. He runs his fingers through his hair before hiding it under a snapback.

Damn, how she loves it when he showed his forehead. She loves cute and casual Hoseok, but hot Hoseok had that manly vibe that makes her knees weak.

"Like what you see?", he smirks at her as he strikes different poses in front of her.

"I'll go now", she whispers before dashing into the room, her hands hiding her red cheeks.

Hoseok plops on the sofa and starts scrolling through his phone as he waits for his wife to finish. Half an hour passes and there is still no sign of his wife. He gets up from the sofa and strides to their shared room.

"Babe, are you done?", Hoseok knocks on the door after half an hour. No answer.

Hoseok opens the door and his eyes pop out of their sockets when he sees the mess the room was in. It looks like someone raided the room, clothes are everywhere and on top of them sits his sulking wife hugging her knees.

"What happened here?", he crouches down next to his sulking wife.

"I don't have anything to wear!", she throws her arms angrily in the air. Hoseok bites his lips, preventing the laugh that is about to erupt from him, to escape.

"You look pretty in anything you wear.", he whispers soothingly as he pushes a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Says the one who looks handsome even if he wears a rag", she scoffs.

"Is that what you do in your free time? Imagine me wearing a rag?", he wiggles his eyebrows teasingly. Alex shoots him an annoyed glare.

"Okay fine, I'm just joking", he raises his arms in surrender.

Hoseok sighs as his eyes scan the mountain of clothes around him. He gets up and grabs two pieces of clothing.

"Go change into this", he pulls her up and puts the clothes in her hands before saying "I'll get the car ready, come down as soon as you're done."

"I'm too lazy", she w.h.i.n.es.

"I'll gladly do it for you", Hoseok's deeps voice sends shivers down her spine. He moves closer and his fingers grab the hem of her pajama top. She can feel her body shiver as his fingers graze her soft skin. Hoseok leans his forehead on hers and she can feel his breath mingle with hers. Alex looks up to meet his eyes. His eyes are full of mischievousness with a hint of l.u.s.t. Her brown eyes are filled with hesitation yet she anticipates what his next move.

His lips move to her ear lobe. A whimper escapes her mouth when she feels his breath tingling them.

"You wish babe", he whispers before a loud cackle comes out of his mouth. Alex's face flushes in embarrassment as she hides it behind her hands.

"You should've seen your face", he says between laughter. He bends forward holding onto his stomach as he struggles to breathe.

The embarrassment that Alex felt seconds ago washes away as soon as she hears his melodious laugh. She tries to fight the smile invading her features, but fails and soon both of them are laughing like lunatics.

"Damn that was funny, I'll get the car ready", Hoseok wipes a fallen tear away and leaves the room.

Alex walks to the bathroom and changes into the outfit Hoseok gave her. She checks her reflection and decides to wear something more Alex and less Hoseok.

"Now this is Alex's style", she pairs blue cargo pants with a grey crop top and throws a checkered shirt over the crop top. She nods at her reflection before slipping into sneakers and running out of the apartment.

The ride to Jin's house is full of laughter and the couple singing their lungs out. Alex stares at Hoseok, not believing that he was next to her, his hand intertwined with hers, his thumb c.a.r.e.s.sing her hands.

"If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up", she closes her eyes and prays to the universe.
