Bulgarian Empire

Vol 2 Chapter 52: , Join the war

"The Greek King George I personally sent a telegram for help, asking us to join the war immediately, otherwise they will have peace talks with the Ottoman Empire alone!"

Chekov laughed and said, "The Greeks know that they are anxious now! It is a pity that they have not figured out the situation. Is this to threaten us with withdrawal from the war?"

Everyone roared with laughter, all with expressions of gloat!

Constantine laughed and said: "Greece still has some effect, at least people still dragged the Ottoman army of hundreds of thousands, there are hard work without credit, let's not beat their enthusiasm!"

Ferdinand added: "Yes, the fearlessness of the Greek government is still worth encouraging! So, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs replied to George I saying that we will enter the war soon, and we are now formulating a battle plan. Once completed, we will enter the war! "

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Metjeev said embarrassingly: "Your Excellency, this is not so good! The Greeks are still allies now, so there must be a specific time to participate in the war?"

Ferdinand thought for a while, and said cautiously: "Then three days!

Tell George I, let them hold on, we are a responsible ally in Bulgaria, and we will definitely join the war in three days!

For three days, I hope that the Ottomans are not so incompetent and can get the Cyrillic Legion! "

Medev was unable to complain, wanted to laugh but didn't dare to laugh. If Ferdinand’s words are not added later, it is indeed like that, plus the latter sentence, it’s somewhat~~~

What is the mood of George I, Ferdinand doesn't care. Three days passed in a hurry. According to the agreement, today is the day for Bulgaria to join the war.

On May 3, 1897, Bulgaria issued a 24-hour notification to the Ottoman Empire.

The core content is: request the Sudanese government to return the territory invaded and occupied by Bulgaria, that is, all the territories of the Ottoman Empire in Europe, and to compensate for the economic loss of 2 billion pounds!

Anyway, the Second Bulgarian Empire was indeed destroyed by the Ottomans for five hundred years. Now Bulgaria is independent. It takes back its homeland from the Ottoman Empire and seeks compensation from them. There is nothing wrong with it!

Of course, the content of the report is a lot. From the nonsense more than 500 years ago to the present, it enumerates in detail the grievances and grievances between the preservation of the land, and the total mess, there are more than 100 pages!

I don’t know what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs thinks. It is estimated that the Sudanese government may not be able to read the content in 24 hours!

But these are not important anymore. Anyway, the Balkans are lively. Following the Greek-Turkish War, Bulgaria joined the declaration of war on the Ottoman Empire.

The matter is not over yet, Mente Negero also jumped out to brush up on his sense of existence. On the day of the declaration of war in Bulgaria, he also issued a war declaration to the Ottoman Empire!

European people instantly turned into melon-eating people, watching the excitement and commenting on the world!

According to the unscrupulous media, the Balkans has always had a tradition of one small war for three years and one war for ten years. In the past ten years, apart from the two Serbian Wars, other times were generally peaceful, and it should have been a big battle long ago!

The public opinion of the outside world is not important. The Sudanese government has some headaches afterwards. It seems that Greece is about to be settled. Bulgaria and Mentenegero have jumped out again!

But the Sudanese government is much tougher than seeking a country, and it directly refused. In one word: If you want to fight, come to fight!

After the Sudanese government refused, on May 4, 1897, Ferdinand authorized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to submit a statement of war to the Ottoman Empire; the next day, Mente Negro declared war on the Ottoman Empire, and the Balkan War broke out!

At the same time as the handover of the battle, the Bulgarian army also began to act.

Unlike the first Balkan War in history, when the alliance was 630,000 troops against 500,000 Ottoman troops (Bulgaria 350,000, Serbia 150,000, Greece 100,000, Nete Negro 30,000), this time it was almost Bulgaria Go head-to-head with a local chicken!

In 1897, the Ottoman Empire had about 450,000 troops in the Balkans, maiming the Greeks, and the Ottoman Empire also paid a lot of losses. The number of troops dropped to about 400,000.

In order to win this war, Bulgaria mobilized a total of 600,000 troops. Mentenegero mobilized about 30,000 troops as in history. In addition to the crippled Greece, the Balkan Alliance still has an absolute military advantage!

On May 4, the Bulgarian soldiers divided into five groups and launched an all-out attack on the Ottoman Empire!

   Including: Bulgarian 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 15th to 19th Divisions, 6th and 7th Heavy Artillery Regiments, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, and 3rd, 4th, and 5th Engineering Divisions!

Chief Military Officer: Lieutenant General Dante Christoph is the commander of the group army, and Andrei Blaskoff is the chief of staff

Third Road: The Third Bulgarian Army, UU Kanshu www.uukanshu.com is composed of a first-class division, a second-class division, and an engineer division. The entire army is about 42,000 people (about 31,000 soldiers).

Including: The 2nd Guards Division, the New 20th Division and the 6th Engineer Division!

Chief Military Officer: Major General Ilya Dimityev served as the commander of the group army, and Vicho Dikov served as the chief of staff

Fourth Road, that is, the Bulgarian Sixth Division + 1 Engineer Regiment, about 19,000 people.

Chief Military Officer: Division Commander Parif Khristov, Division Chief of Staff Stoiu Bratislov

Strategic goal: cross the Rhodope Mountains and enter Macedonia along the Struma River

As for the remaining one division A (fifth division) and eight division B divisions (new 21st to 28th divisions), there is no doubt that they are the general reserve team, and of course they are also left to visit!

Otherwise, like during the Second Balkan War, Bulgaria was all the best, without leaving a guardian army, it was stabbed by Romania before it was defeated so quickly!

Of course, Ferdinand has to learn his lesson. There are nine divisions and one heavy artillery regiment, about 140,000 troops, not to mention it is used for defense, even if it is singled against Romania, it is enough!

Remarks: The engineering divisions are listed separately and are not counted as the main force of 600,000!
