Bulgarian Empire

Chapter 92: Open Congress

After the parliamentary elections, Ferdinand announced that he would reopen the National Assembly on November 8, 1892, in order to elect a new legal government.

Although this is just a cutscene, Ferdinand still attaches great importance to it and announced the news in the first place.

At the end of the 19th century, mankind has begun to transition to a legal society, and legal system has attracted more and more attention. As a person with vested interests, Ferdinand certainly did not want to undermine the majesty of the law.

Since Ferdinand took the throne, although minor changes have been made to the Bulgarian law, the Constitution has never been directly violated. They have tried every means to exploit loopholes or find ways to get around.

Anyway, the legal system in Bulgaria is not perfect, and many places are ambiguous. Even the jurists at that time expressed their opinions and inconclusive.

Ferdinand’s small movements naturally did not attract people’s attention. Now that the new Congress is born, it is time to legalize many of the previous regulations.

In the days without the Congress, Bulgaria hasn't changed much. What should people do? This is the advantage of a conservative country. People are not very politically sensitive.

In the international arena, Ferdinand has been hacked into the world. The titles of "terrorist tyrant" and "evil dictator" have been smashed by so-called democrats without money.

Well, in fact, there were no European monarchs who were not scolded by them at the time. Everyone was the same, but Ferdinand was scolded a bit more recently.

But Ferdinand can't control his mouth up on others, so just let them go. Anyway, they won't do anything except scream.

In order to ensure the stability of the country’s ideology, after Ferdinand took the throne, Bulgarian students stopped going to France, instead they went to Britain, Germany, Austria, Russia and other countries, even Belgium and Sweden.

Regarding the French liberalism, Ferdinand has always stayed away. It is true that it has a positive side in promoting national liberation and national independence, but that thing is really a cancer of the empire.

From the rise of liberalism, the French empire began to fight in politics at home, and the national power was declining. Turning a world's top industrial power into a kingdom of usury, Ferdinand was drunk thinking about it.

Put away the chaotic thoughts, before the meeting began, Ferdinand still summoned the next cabinet that had been scheduled in the lounge.

  ……

"How are you preparing for Konstantin? Don't lose the chain at a critical moment! Bulgaria has a precedent for the removal of candidates?" Ferdinand said with a smile

Constantine smiled awkwardly and replied: "Your Excellency, please rest assured, we are all ready. The achievements of the Provisional Cabinet in the past few years are here. With these backgrounds, there should be no jokes!"

Ferdinand smiled slightly and nodded, indicating acquiescence. The number of congressmen in this session is the lowest in history, and the actual achievements are the best weapon to conquer them. Even if Ferdinand did not operate in the dark, he can now determine the result of this election.

Then he said: "Then you can go and see all the members first, and I will be there soon!"

As soon as Ferdinand finished speaking, several people replied in unison: "Yes!" Then they retreated to Ferdinand and dared to go to the Congress Hall.

The current congress hall is already very lively. Members of Congress are gathering in groups and discussing together in full swing. There are also a few gloriously isolated, standing alone on the side can be described as distinct.

Bulgaria has a small land area and a sparse population. Many parliamentarians know each other, and the relationship is good. The conflicts between regions are minimal.

But the direct contradiction between party members and non-party members has a long history. Before Ferdinand came to power, non-party members were almost deprived of their political voice.

In relatively conservative Bulgaria, non-partisan parliamentarians think that political parties are tools for gaining personal gains; party parliamentarians think that they have no overall view and conservative thinking.

Previously, political parties had an advantage in Bulgaria, and they could also include some non-partisan people. Now that feng shui takes turns, non-party parliamentarians dominate, and they can’t get people. It’s okay to squeeze out the bad news.

Mr. Charles, who has just been elected, is embarrassed now. Due to previous struggles, the few members of political parties have no common language. The non-partisan MPs are not cold to him, and he has no expectations for the previous plan.

The matter also starts from the parliamentary elections. After the New Liberal Party lost in the general election, Caston’s hatred of Ferdinand rose to an unsurpassable level, and he found the original backstage supporters of the New Liberal Party-Britain and Austria-Hungary.

Obviously, the British and Austro-Hungary have been dissatisfied with Ferdinand’s pro-Russian policy for a long time. It was to turn the bears around. UU reading www.uukanshu.com temporarily put it down, but Ferdinand guarded against it and did not give them Opportunity to shoot.

Now that the opportunity is here, I am naturally happy to teach Ferdinand a lesson, and maybe it can change the political situation in Bulgaria.

With this idea, the two sides naturally hit it off. The British and Austro-Hungary stepped forward to promote the union of the Bulgarian political parties, preparing to win over a group of MPs who were dissatisfied with Ferdinand and attack the National Assembly.

In order to keep the secret, no one except the people involved knows about it this time, so we can't do it in advance.

But now that non-partisan deputies are not willing to contact them at all, there is no way to win them. The major political parties in Bulgaria have united and the number of members in the parliament has just been able to make up the number of proposals. As for the result, the results are not optimistic.

As soon as Constantine and others entered the meeting place, they became the focus of attention, talking with enthusiastic lawmakers from all over until the opening of the Congress.

There are no tricks, everything is done in accordance with past practices. Oh, there is a vacancy for the speaker of Bulgaria. Previously, it was nominated by the party that won the general election. Of course there is no more this time. Just leave it empty! Anyway, without affecting the next meeting, let the Secretary-General take over his job first.

After the ceremony was completed, Ferdinand appeared and directly announced the start of the National Assembly.

First, Constantine made a work report on behalf of the interim cabinet, summarizing Bulgaria’s achievements in the economic, cultural, political and military fields in the past few years.

Before, although there were related reports in the newspapers, they had never been summarized in this way. A series of political achievements were added together.

soon won the high recognition of all the parliamentarians, even those who are harsh, have to admit that the interim cabinet government did a very good job. The subsequent state affairs consultation went smoothly.
