Calla Lily, The Eunuch King's Goblin Bride

Chapter 21 - Beware Of Potions

"If they think I'm going to cater to this-this mentality of these people suppressing my nature and come out of my comfort zone. They are highly mistaken."

After a bitter quarrel with my maid servants; my only friends here in this queer place I marched towards my opulent room upstairs with a shattered heart and tears in eyes. I could not comprehend that Ezlynn really said those things to me without considering my feelings.

As soon I stepped into the arcade without noticing the four warriors who were on guard, I headed straight to my chamber and slammed the door shut.

"How can I?"

I was in rage for sure and paused in the middle of room to marshal my inflamed thoughts.

"These indecent and insolent people. How dare everyone treated me like nothing. I can not risk my life to live here anymore."

My voice sawed like an infuriated bee's. I moved towards my master sized bed and threw my body with a thump.

"But how will I escape from this cage? No one will be willing to let me through. I have to find someone with the knowledge of magics and teleportations."

I was muddled in between my thoughts, jumping from one to another. In the process a sudden pang of pain started in my head from the left lobe. I opened my eyes startlingly in that rec.u.mbent posture, wincing in headache badly I tried to lift my head up to sit. But the wave took an initiative and grew stronger, my head began to spin.

"Wha-at is this sudden switching in my mind? Ugh! my head."

I clasped my head in between hands as I remained laying on the red silk sheets, all alone in that chamber.

I wanted to scream for help but could not do so, the pang spread like a virus in my head travelling towards right lobe.

"No- no. Someone please help me."

My muffled voice called for help, I wanted to be in less hazardous ground.

At least these would not let me die that easily specially having the King around, who wanted to use me for his ways. Yes I remembered his witty words from our first meeting and that speech of his was my only hope that I could escape alive rather my soul leaving this kingdom.

A white light flashed from nowhere bright enough to blur my vision that I had to cover my eyes with sleeves of the gown. I tried to peek when someone held my wrist gently and the light died making everything clear.

I saw no one. Nor I was in my chamber. Stars all around- millions of them, a dim purplish-pink light was lightening up eveything. I felt as if I was in the middle of some endless galactic point.

Flying as if I died out of that brain haemorrhage. And now I was some celestial body wandering in the middle of universe searching for my destiny. With racing heart I looked beneath my feet and- nothing was there. I felt my heart stopped for some moments out of fright.

I was strangling in air all alone, light as a feather. With terror and fear that I might fall I started panicking and again I felt someone's grip on my wrist.

Hurriedly I gazed around but no one was there. I found myself stranded in the air. When a bright white smoke started to emerge from nowhere and I sensed a tingling effect on my wrist and slowly it burned like hell.

But slowly cooled down as I saw the smoke starting to take a shape by moulding into something solid. I watched closely in amazement with eyes wide open. It was stardust gathering around from nowhere and interspersed with the smoke.

I waited impatiently and watched the whole transformation in a daze.

The smoke became contoured and was now taking place of a being. A white complexion with raven colored hair, slender but sturdy body- half formed , long lashes with closed eyes, pointed nose and the most beautiful lips, cherry colored, more red than strawberries or even cherries themselves.

The smoke..... was a man !

His body was forming as the smoke was amalgamated with stardust readily. I was stunned at his half appearance and with overwhelming emotions I wanted to touch his face. I had seen many magics and encountered with countless spells but this was something beyond words.

Stretching my arm slowly close to his face with a pounding heart my tip of finger touched his lashes and he opened his eyes all of a sudden making me to hop back in terror.

Those alluring green eyes!

I shook my head and blinked twice in disbelief, the bright light appeared again making by head bursting with pain.My vision got dizzy eventually I ended up fainting.

"Thee came in my dreams again."

My pupils moved a little when I heard a faraway voice. A velvety raspy male voice. I tried to figure out what he was saying.

"Thee came in my dreams again."

The voice pricked my ears again, out of curiosity I wanted to look around for his face. But it seemed my eyes were heavier and unable to open.

My heart was beating fast and his voice became more audible as someone was speaking close to my ear.

"Thee come in my dreams again; touched me in places where night used to appease; remember my thirst was never quenched when thee lit the fires in those forgotten lakes; the darkness knew me well; until thee came like a sweet celebration; beware of the potions of love; leave me not tonight my poet;"

As soon his voice stopped I heard a loud blow and snapped open my eyes with a racing heart and body drenched in sweat.
