23 – Drinking Party

As historically, bread and circuses were the answer to appease the angry.

And in order to escape this absurd situation, I decided to make all the 30 or so Hwar’an mercenaries sitting in front of me into drinking birds.

A table was placed horizontally in front of everyone, just like a hearing.

I was the only one standing at the table.

Then I held the pint at an angle to the faucet on the oak barrel behind my back and turned on the faucet.

Aww, the very fine sound of air bubbles being crushed filled the glass slightly.

Thump, thump, thump.

Then slowly put the beer glasses on the table, one by one.

While the carbonic acid melted over time, I finished setting up and stood in front again.

To do what I have to do as a venue for hearings initiated by alcohol.

After finishing the setting, I picked up a thick wooden mug and hit it on the table.

Thump!

I could feel the rebound in my ungloved hand.

The table shakes. The wooden table, neither too thin nor too thick, was enough to create confusion in a pint.

Shoot aaa, like a conch shell, a wave sounded in the glass, which caused a small ripple in everyone’s hearts.

After waiting for the carbonic acid to subside, I pounded the table again.

My hands started to throb, but I didn’t care, and I continued to beat the table with my wooden mug like a carpenter with a hammer, like a judge with a law.

Kung.

Kung.

In the meantime.

Thump thump.

I heard someone banging together.

The timing wasn’t right for the first ensemble, but it started to work.

Soon, the more I pounded, the more I heard a thud, thump, thump from the table in the audience.

Like Pavlov’s dog, everyone knew what this ritual evoked.

Kung.

Kung.

Thump!

The noise of beating even those who can use mana with pure power soon began to fill the mercenary cafeteria.

Thump!!

Hard!

I exclaimed. The harsh voice was drowned out by the stronger fists.

Their faces turned as red as a fist hitting a table.

I don’t know if it’s because of the wood fire I’ve lit in the fireplace in the corner beforehand, but the inside of the restaurant is warm.

Faster!

My mouth went dry after shouting that. As a reflex, saliva began to collect.

The audience seemed to be licking their lips as well. It was natural.

Because their tables don’t even have snacks to fill their mouths with, let alone beer.

A huge oak barrel groaned from the cold basement.

The moment you take a bite, the warmth of the gravy lingers in your mouth, a whole piece of pork, and even a thinly sliced ham with salty thighs.

Even white bread that is easy to eat without wrapping the meat thanks to butter-baked bread.

Everybody was behind me.

So they focused on my hand.

Everyone, including me, was waiting for the mug I was holding to stop.

But my hands were still beaten, and the carbonation in the cold beer was bubbling up.

I must have beaten it for such a long time. A white foam was showing the tip.

More! More! More!

Everyone shouted. I was also with

Sixty, maybe fifty, eyes began to focus on the dewy lager in front of me.

Soon, a drop.

Thirst-filled exclamations flowed from here and there.

I can’t shake and shake, so my eyes look at me as hot as the bubbles that flow down.

Not looking at me, of course, but towards the eighteen pints in front of me.

“Hmm, hmm.”

And one word.

“You know?”

Everyone was shouting.

“Come on! Pint three fast -eating cubs take them all of them !! “

It was the fastest and loudest thing I’ve ever said in this restaurant.

-Boom!

Then, he grabbed the bag of money he had collected earlier and put it down in the middle of the table.

White lava began to erupt from eighteen small tree volcanoes.

Just like the carbonic acid that could not stand the momentary change and exploded, their excitement and heat also began to burst out.

Wow!!!

I could feel the sweat running down my face. I cried out, willingly giving myself over to the adrenaline.

“Those who think that they drink the best here and that the other bastards simply don’t know how to drink, raise their hands first!! How many first-come, first-served?”

He stretched out his hand.

“Six people!!!!”

And they took my hand with a willing voice.

I was determined to live up to their expectations.

“Implementation!!”

“Do it!!!”

While the spilled beer soaked the purse, a change began to occur in the crowd.

“Go!”

“Sit down, you bastards!!”

Soon, one by one, branches sprouted from the human soil.

The heat full of sympathy made sudden growth possible.

Soon, the guys who rose to the height of a human body moved forward with their hands raised.

Then old man Northern, who had been lying down, immediately knocked on the table and stood up.

Because the ore powder was smeared around his mouth, he must have been taking medicine instead of sleeping.

“Where are you discussing alcohol in front of me?”

A mass-produced fantasy stereo-type dwarf came out.

But none of the people in the room thought of escaping. Rather provocative.

“Old man, go back to your seat and drink your medicine. What kind of alcohol is this?”

“If you have gout at that age, even that medicine won’t help.”

To that ridicule, the old man responded by brushing off the black powder all over his beard.

“Just say it’s scary, you tall assholes.”

Cheers rang out.

Some of them might think they were idiots or real men, but there was only one word that came out of their mouths.

“Champion!”

“Champion!!”

The six people who came forward, including Old Man Northern, took their seats.

I happily shouted, holding the mug like a microphone.

“From now on, we will perform Britian instrument bari!!!”

Instrument bari, a way of showing off oneself that has been popular since ancient times.

China’s Yeompa said he ate a lot of rice and meat to show off that he was healthy.

So I quoted that story to survive a drinking party, and after going through countless survivors and dead, it has now become a tradition of the mercenaries.

Those in front of me are changing jobs as abusers in disguise for their own satisfaction, even though they know that it is a champion title that no one implicitly acknowledges.

Before that.

“3 Coopers!”

I shouted, pointing at the table in front of me.

I deliberately kept my words short, but no one protested.

Because ‘Give me 3 coppers’ is a begging, but ‘3 coppers’ contains the power to make that not happen.

3 Cooper!

A fairy tale fell from the pockets of the contestants who shouted three coins to the table as if before the airborne drop.

It’s money made by selling blood, but there’s only one person who takes it.

Greed began to flicker in the eyes of everyone who knew it.

And I.

“Ready.”

Once again, the hand holding the wooden cup was raised to the sky.

Everyone’s eyes gathered.

I gladly shouted the beginning with the crash of wooden cups.

With cheers, a race of about 1.5 Liters started.

“That’s why. Is this bastard just lying?”

“Right, right. Drink some more and talk. So what did the lady say?”

“You say you’re a perverted bastard. Look at me.”

Only Vieri and I were left alive in the restaurant where we ate and drank everything before entering, or entered the land of dreams.

Vieri, whose anger had mostly been relieved by the alcohol, said with a full tear in his face.

“So, what did I do?”

“Well, then.”

Vieri held out her hands and shook them as she roared.

“No! Listen to me! Then! Speak! Sun!”

‘f*ck.’

Vieri, who is re-broadcasting the 30th ‘Listen to My Voice’, and I, who are constantly listening to it.

In the darkened restaurant, different emotions with the same name coexisted between the candles.

Vieri muttered as she covered her head.

“Seriously, how the hell do I get there? Under. I’m just tired.”

“Me too.”

Its name was tiredness.

“Hey, at least you are better than me. This bastard.”

His pattern has evolved. There was no answer other than a nod of his head.

“Where did you cheat and get lost?”

“What a deception.”

“All right. This bastard.”

The candle swayed in the drops of saliva. Maybe i’m drunk

“Then, shall we go?”

I gave him the answer.

“Where are you going? Shall we move to another bar?”

“Crazy man. It’s a mercenary here. I mean.”

Seeing that the words came out straight, I was still drunk. Kanadaramavasa, Kanadaramavasa.

The fingers were properly extended. Vieri made of flame shook.

“Go to that inn! Let’s talk again, carefully.”

“Go to Mary?”

The girl’s name was Mary.

“Yes.”

“Do you like it?”

“Then would you like it if it stayed like this?”

Vieri’s eyes opened again, and her boy’s face slid over the wooden cup I lifted.

Wow, it goes well today. I can’t eat alone.

“The cup is empty.”

The guy’s glass was filled with the dead liquor that Guilford drank.

Then the table on which the glass was placed turned into a grove of oak trees.

“There is only one answer.”

“What?”

Maybe it was the forest, but somehow I felt my voice getting smaller, so I shouted a little louder.

“Go apologize! Apologize, apologize again, and that’s it!”

“What will happen, you crazy bastard.”

“Another chance?”

Damn it, don’t talk. Dog-like deceiver bastard.

That was Vieri’s last words after emptying her glass in one go.

As a bonus, even the sound of the head being hammered into a wooden table.

Be a deceiver, think as you please.

“Okay.”

I heard the voice of Vieri, who collapsed on the table.

“Thank you-“

“If you’re going to say thank you, I’ll really cover up what you just said so you can’t hold your head up.”

Where the cub is going to drift.

“……”

The guy shut his mouth. It was thanks to the last remaining reason that sealed the mouth.

That’s why the mercenary restaurant was full of silence.

“Geez.”

After taking a moment to catch my breath and calm my boiling stomach, I quickly stood up and waddled around the table collecting food.

The greed to eat is because, like many friends, there are many foods that have not been touched.

Thanks to that, the time to stir-fry the oats was closer to one meal, maybe two, and it was hard not to.

After going around the restaurant and putting the things they gathered together on the cleanest plate, one by one, they leave the restaurant to go to the storage room with a smile.

“Mr. G-House.”

I almost lost my plate when I was startled by the voice I heard in the dark.

A patter broke the silence, followed by a slightly belated apology.

“Sorry if I startled you.”

I looked at some food that had fallen for a moment, but answered calmly.

“It’s okay. Squad leader.”

I’m not the one on duty cleaning tomorrow anyway.

So I turned my head and looked at the dark hallway. Because the voice came from there.

“By the way, why aren’t you sleeping yet?”

“I couldn’t sleep.”

She came out, slowly dispelling her darkness.

The leader of the Priyanian squad, whose pink pajamas were visible through the overcoat, captured the moonlight coming through the window as it was.

“That’s what I mean.”

She came close enough to feel the scent and quietly proposed.

As always after she joined the mercenaries.

“How about a walk?”

I took a step back.

“I drank too much.”

“So what?”

She followed one step.

“It must smell like alcohol.”

Around the time when I repeated taking one step closer and one step back.

At one point, she came two steps closer and said firmly.

“It’s an order.”

I nodded as if I couldn’t help it.

“I will follow.”

***

Walk only to the warehouse, take care of the way back.

It was a proposal she made, and to me, who drank a lot, it was a complaint against the government.

So, we stood side by side and quietly walked on the dirt floor.

Without saying anything.

The atmosphere was awkward.

“That, the prianian squad leader?”

“Tell me.”

Her voice was the same.

I came up with a problem that I had been thinking about for several days, with alcohol in it.

“Do you have any concerns?”

The sound of footsteps I heard next to me stopped.

And with the sound of footsteps again, her question returned.

“Why did you think that?”

“No, they just follow me all the time. It’s like there’s something you put in there, but you can’t spit it out anywhere.”

Where is the well? What is where Isn’t it normal to only ask questions that require a little searching, such as who should I go to?

“Hey, Mr. Ghouse.”

From noble mtl dot com

Her mask is broken.

To the extent that it makes me wonder how it breaks more easily than I thought.

“Yes?”

“Will you listen to me if I have a problem?”

I didn’t come up with an answer like he dared to ask me, not Hwaruan.

It was because she still had a stack of gratitude for waking me up from the nightmare.

So I turned her head and looked at her.

“I will listen as much as I can.”

Because it’s a bit troublesome if the worry is of the kind that wants to kill me.

Perhaps, there was absolutely no other intention.
