Chapter 2 - Another World

Something feels different...

My hands, feet... Posture... And a tail!?

My body was covered with black fur. I had paws instead of hands and had slender limbs. At the end of my bottom was a long tail.

Looking at my reflection from a window I had the figure of a... Cat!

I am a CAT!

How awesome is this!

I'm so happy I could die!

No, it would be a shame to die now. Let's enjoy being a cat in this life! Though I would have preferred to be a bird, a cat is fine too! I heard cats are lady killers.

Now, where are we?

I think I was in some secluded street. A stinky stench filled the air The smell of urine and garbage mixed in the air. Now with my enhanced nose, I could even smell it better. I was used to smelling like this before but somehow it's now very unbearable.

How gross!

I quickly ran to get away from this stunk place. Upon reaching the end of the street I was stunned by what I saw.

The look of the building was different from modern architecture. They were made out of bricks and wasn't cemented. The style of the houses was similar to those movie posters I've seen before.

Is this possibly another world?

Of course, it wasn't just the architecture that led me to this conclusion but some weird-looking humans. Some had horns on their heads, while there were even some who had tails on them. If those weren't enough then what about someone who looked like a khajiit from Skyrim! These "things" we're just like the characters on the computer games I've played before. Are they what would you call "beastmen" here.

Aside from different races, some wore armours and had swords on their back. I could even see some who had staffs and wore cloaks like magician stereotypes.

Now that I think I got the idea of what kind of world is this, it feels like being a cat isn't so great anymore.

Is it too late to be a human now?

I've also remembered that I'm a v.i.r.g.i.n!

Am I suppose to make a family with a cat!

Well, it's normal for a cat to make love with another cat but being a human inside make it goes against my instincts!

Ugh, let's forget that and focus on my primary priorities. Firstly shelter, I could easily stay in a house who wouldn't mind having a cat stay on their home if worse comes to worst I'll just have to sneak in undetected. Such a thing would have been a crime when I was a human but now I'm just a cat. So my only concern is now about what I would eat.

I could go grab some food from a stall and quickly escape but that would be stealing and would be very risky. Who knows what humans could do in this place and the probability of magic existing here is quite high. As far as I know, I'm just an ordinary cat. I don't even know what "ordinary" is for cats here.

I could only use my final trump card now!

Mary was out today with her boyfriend.

Walking hand in hand, they went to the plaza.

They bought two melon bread and sat on a bench.

It was then when a black cat approached them.

Mark, Mary's girlfriend found the cat disturbing them so he wanted to shoo it away until a hand stopped him from doing so.

"Hey what are you doing! Just let it be"

"It's disturbing us!"

"How is it disturbing?"

The black cat was slowly coming up to them until it was at Mary's feet and started to circle around her legs. The cat gently rubbing its head on her feet made her giggle.

"How cute!"

She picked it up and laid it down on her legs.

"Come on, Mark. Feed it with bread!"

"Eh? Why mine?"

"What would I eat if I gave mine?"

"Wouldn't I be the one having nothing to eat in that case?"

Though reluctant, Mark gave in after she started pinching him. He broke a crumb and fed the cat.

This is the life!

I would have never dreamed to be treated like this!

Being fed while lying on a girls l.a.p feels like heaven.
