'The Zhe family is my family! They couldn't have done such a heinous act towards me. But then again, I can't let my emotions decide the outcome for me. I need to verify first.'

"How do I know whether it was them?" Xiao Wei asked with her brow raised.

"Are you willing to do what I ask you of?" Wallace meaningfully gazed at the petite framed girl in front of him. Before him, the young lady looked so small and fragile. Her 5'2" stature seemed a little too adorable in front of this cold pole!

"If it's within my reach then why not?" Xiao Wei didn't have to think before answering this. She knew that Wallace wouldn't harm her. What would he gain by doing so? The Zhe family riches was just a grain of rice to him. And although she possessed extraordinary looks and talent, these were of no use to Wallace. He genuinely wanted to help her.

"Go to the Zhe mansion and eat with them. Apply this lipstick before eating and you'll know whether they're behind it or not." Wallace nonchalantly handed her a small lipstick the size of her pinky finger.. But how will she know whether it's poisoned or not?

Noticing the question in her eyes, "The clear colour will become purple if it's poisoned. However, the contents in the lipstick will cancel out the poison." Wallace could not take a chance with her safety. So, he used the top scientist to make this lipstick for her. Besides, this lipstick was specially made and will make her immune to all forms of poisons and venom. Truly efficient!

Xiao Wei got out of the expensive Maybach out the Zhe mansion. She was hoping that it wasn't the Zhe couple who did this. And even if they did, they had a good reason for this.

Her heart was uneasy.

"I am back." Xiao Wei put on a facade and entered the dining room.

"Wei'er! I thought you were mad on Mother that's why I was about to send food to your apartment. You shouldn't go on without food even if you're angry with me!"

"Mother is right, Wei'er! You should never skip meals. I didn't eat because of you. Don't make this old man starve."

The mother-father couple both spoke with a pitiful expression.

Whenever Xiao Wei refused to eat, they would talk to her with flattery like this. Butter her up and make her eat as the last resort by making her guilty.

"I am sorry. I just wasn't in a good mood."

"It's okay. Now come over here to eat."

Today Xiao Wei was noticing a lot of things since she was suspicious. Like how her food was always served on her bowls and plates even before she sat on the table. How she didn't like eating too much salty food, but one day even she found her vegetable lacking salt ; her father however ate too much salty food, but didn't point out the flavourless food. Later when she tasted the leftover because of post lunch hunger, she actually found out that the vegetable was perfect!

As always, her food was already served. Soup, meat, fish and vegetables. Everything balanced.

According to Wallace's instructions, she already applied the lipstick.

Within half n hour, the meal was finished. Xiao Wei didn't talk much during the time. However, her parents kept going on about how Xiao Wei was an adorable little kid when she was young and all that.

"I am done, Mother and Father. I still have some work at the hospital, so I'll be leaving first!"

"This child! Are you so keen on leaving that you started getting decked up on the dinner table? Are you on your rebellious phase that you're wearing such a grotesque colour on your lip?" Zhe Yixing( her father) laughed heartily.

Xiao Wei's heart stopped for a moment. But she didn't let it show on her face.

"This is fashion nowadays. What do you understand, old man?" Zhe Yang Zi stuck her tongue in front of her husband in a childish manner.

Xiao Wei bowed politely and rushed out of the mansion. Walked for a minute then discreetly entered the backseat of the Maybach. This time there was another figure sitting on the backseat. Xiao Wei was in too much of a deep thought to bother with the man who was now looking like an abandoned puppy. 'She didn't even notice me!' But then he smiled gently and said, "I am still with you."

Xiao Wei was brought out of her daze with just this one sentence. While she was getting out of the mansion, she took out her phone and checked her lips with the front camera. It took a lot out of her o accept the reality. The parents she trusted her all with were actually poisoning her to keep her memory locked? The people she was close with were all lying to her? Even her best friend Yang Li?

She was all alone in this world. Who could she trust? She was about to have a mental breakdown when a soft, wine like mellow voice reached out to her. 'I'm still with you.. with you..'

Her heart immediately softened. She got a grip on herself. If the Zhes were responsible for her state, she will not be polite with them just because of her feelings!

'If it was truly them, even the God can't come down and save them from me.' a cold glint flashed on her eyes.
