Chains Of Heaven

Chapter 54 - arc 2 - 18

Let's turn back time for a bit.

After the young master of the Heaven Smiting family released his Darkness Profound Energy Enkidu went into a near berserker state. Due to all he experienced back in the clan and the many 'visits' his 'dear older brother' has with him Enkidu knew him extremely well. It was to the point that Enkidu could identify his energy signature instantly even at such a distance and the thought of this older brother of his was enough to make Enkidu mad in bloodlust.

Not necessarily because of the number of times this brother hurt him, those were normal back when Enkidu was weak, but because of the thing stolen from Enkidu.

The last gift his mother gave him, the Supreme Being Bone. It was the mutation Enkidu's mother had been born with as a member of the Dongfang family that always produced some sort of mutation that made them geniuses. Enkidu's mother, despite being born with a Supreme Being Bone was far too kind of a soul and never lived up to the title of Supreme Being that could dominate anyone up to two full realms above them. She didn't understood herself why she was born with such a bone until she gave birth to Enkidu, giving him his bone even as she was about to die in childbirth.

This was the one gift his mother gave him, her last wishes for him and her honest dėsɨrės to help him in his path.

And this one and only gift was stolen, given to someone else who lorded the fact he had this bone as if he was destined to have it.

No, even if it was only this that he could do, Enkidu had to make sure to take back this bone.

Meanwhile, Huandu Qingtian was also approaching, he had to investigate the ones that entered the domain of the Poison Sect, but he sensed something unique that made him ponder before changing directions slightly.

Reaching the destination the short old sect master's eyes widened slightly before a crafty smile appeared in his old face.

Qingtian, after all, was amongst the top existences in this entire continent and his specialization is poison, even if he was besieged by all the master teachers around there was no sure way to know if he wouldn't poison them all to death in the end anyway. In truth, on this continent the strongest six existences were Qingtian, the head of the Heaven Smiting clan, and the master and grand elder of the Master teacher ȧssociation as well as the duo from

As Enkidu was about to appear before the others Qingtian used his profound energy to stop him in place. The young man looked shocked as he tried to force his way through, but the profound energy around him was unmoving despite his best efforts.

Qingtian raised a brow from these efforts though, sensing just how strong Enkidu's body was from the strugle he was going through. The crafty smile on the old face growing larger as he nodded to himself. He then noticed how, beside Enkidu, was a girl who had one of those fancy eyes of the Hyuga family. It was quite surprising that someone from that family of stuck ups would appear here, but it was not overall a bad thing as Qingtian could use someone with those eyes.

Jumping in front of the duo Qingtian spoke up.

"I did not expect you'd come to my domain so soon, young Enkidu. Did something happen for you to show up here at this time."

Enkidu looked at the short old man, recognizing him from the shop he visited during the Master Teacher tournament a short while back. He knew more or less about the other party's identity so Enkidu forcefuly calmed himself down, his muscles relaxing and Qingtian stopped holding Enkidu in place.

"Junior meets Sect master Huandu. I apologize for my sudden appearance but I accidentally teleported to close to this location." Enkidu said with a respectful but not overly servile bow.

"Very well, now tell me, what exactly made you decide to seemingly want to attack a member of the guests coming to visit me. Depending on your answer I might not keep my hand." Qingtian said with a serious face, wanting to see what the other party's answer would be.

As long as it wasn't because of some self righteous cause like those righteous sect enjoyed speaking out then Qingtian would at least humor the boy.

"... I want to kill one of them for my own reasons." Enkidu said seriously.

Qingtian heard this and felt the truth in this sentence, the weight of these words. .

"Kid, sorry but while you might be able to kill the young ones there is no chance you can do so with those elders around." Qingtian said, making Enkidu frown as he knew it was likely true.

He was already very strong, possible amongst the strongest of the younger generation, but he was still not strong enough to kill those elders and, amongst the stronger ones of those two sects, he could not defeat either of them easily, their powers running deep and their strength being considerable to say the least.

"Tell me, do you dėsɨrė to kill your target that badly?" Qingtian questioned to which Enkidu nodded heavily. The hatred and darknesss in his usually calm and peaceful heart overwhelming him.

Qingtian felt it, as well as felt the breath of the Heaven Smiting bloodline that was activated within Enkidu due to his anger. This raised several questions in Qingtian who looked at Enkidu with some interest as he spoke.

"Very well, while I can guarantee that you would perish if you actually went through with your wishes now, there is still a way for you to kill them without the interference of others."

Enkidu's eyes widened at the words of Qingtian, wanting to know what exactly would be needed.

"There is an event that will be happening in around three months time. While the event is happening no one from the outside can intervene, so if you participate you could do the deed and be done with it." Qingtian explained, making Enkidu's eyes brighten before they sharpened.

"What is the price?" Enkidu questioned, very much doubting that such an event wouldn't have any cost for participation.

"Very well, you are not foolish. There are a limited number of spots for participation so if you want to join you will need my help. As for the price..."

Back to the present

In the clearing Gilgamesh (Enkidu) stood beside his new teacher, Qingtian Huandu. It was still a bit surprising for Gilgamesh that the old sect master and one of the topmost powerhouses in the continent wanted him as a disciple so much, but for the sake of a chance in killing his older half-brother, Gilgamesh was willing to join one of the three evil sects.

Behind him stood Hinata who had a simple veil covering her eyes as she tried to be as inconspicuous as possible, not believing she was forcefully roped in into joining one of the evil sects, but that was her reality and she now depended on Enkidu to survive this poison bog. She could only follow and hope to live through this time.

"... What did you call me, trash?" De Huang questioned Gilgamesh after being called 'mongrel', the young lord of the Yin Yang Paradise was bȧrėly containing his anger as he glared at Gilgamesh. He was completely used to be the one insulting others and acting brash, he has rȧpėd hundreds of females by now to help in his cultivation and his dominering personality could be felt by any who approached.

How could he take being looked down upon by someone with a lower cultivation rank and who he has never heard of?

Gilgamesh looked at him coldly as thunder covered his body as if armor.

"If you want to fight come and try, I will kill you here and now."

"Young lord, please calm your anger. We are in the domain of the Poison Sect now and senior Thousand Poisons King is with us, you should not act rashly."

De Huang seemed to struggle a bit at those words before forcefuly calming down.

"... For the seniors faces, I will withdraw for now." De Huang said through gritted teeth.

On the side, Xing Wang looked unimpressed by the whole ordeal and scoffed at what happened and, as if nothing of what happened had any meaning for him, he simply turned to the direction of the poison sect and started walking, ignoring Huandu Qingtian entirely as if he was beneath him.

The elders of the family gave apologetic smiles as they soon followed along to protect their family heir, the poison sect master's eyes squinting as he felt pangs of anger towards both youngsters who clearly looked down on him.

The poison sect sect master began to led everyone along then, guiding them to the sect as guests while, in the back of his mind, he noted what happened and decided that he should truly think on what to do next and noting that he likely has done the right choice.

Enkidu was his hope for the future now, hope for a better path moving forward.
