Luke left Qingyue's room and headed toward the Xiao manor. He changed his clothes to look like an assassin in an empty alley. He covered his face with a mask to hide his identity.

Today he has a critical mission to accomplish. He silently infiltrated and headed toward a specific room. The person he's about to meet is the key person to achieve his goal quickly.

Xiao Yulong wasn't feeling good these days. He was jealous of Xiao Che for getting the most beautiful girl in the floating cloud city as his wife. He envied Xiao Che's good fortune and wanted nothing more than to ruin his life, but he was afraid of the fifth elder who was Xiao Che's grandfather.

Xiao Yulong was the son of the leader of Xiao Clan. At the age of twenty, whether it be his appearance, talent, use of speech and wisdom, they were at the top of the young generation in the Xiao Clan.

He was a young man of medium build. He was as handsome as he was elegant and charming. His eyes were crystal clear on top of a refreshing face.

Even though he expressed a kind and caring personality outwards, inwardly, he was a cunning and malicious person who succ.u.mbs to his greed and wants to have all the right things for himself, considering others not worthy of them.

He was waiting for Xiao Yang to bring Murdering Heart Powder. He was plotting to murder Xiao Che using it without anyone noticing. He wanted to have Xia Qingyue for himself because of her ethereal beauty.

But, it was challenging to get Murdering Heart Powder without anyone tracing it back to him. Xiao Yang arrived and told his failed mission making Yulong even angrier.

Yulong dismissed Xiao Yang and closed the door. He gave up the plan and was thinking of some other way to murder Xiao Che.

Suddenly a cold and sharp blade was placed on his neck, making him terrified. He wanted to shout out loud, but someone had already covered his mouth.

"Don't shout, or else I'll cut your neck apart. Do you understand?" He heard a hoarse voice that further scared him. He meekly nodded, and the person removed the hands from his mouth, allowing him to breathe slowly.

"Xiao Yulong, I have a proposal for you. Before you disagree, hear it out." said the person making Yulong suspicious. But, he had no other choice than to listen to this stranger.

"Who are you? What do you want from me?" asked Yulong turning around. He saw a person covered in dark robes and his face hidden by a mask, looking just like an assassin.

"Who I am doesn't matter, I'm here to help you achieve your plan successfully." said the person in the same hoarse voice.

"What plan are you talking about? I don't know anything like that," replied Yulong maintaining a calm expression denying the statement.

"Don't try to lie to me. I know you plan to murder Xiao Che using the Murdering Heart Powder." told the guy making Yulong alerted.

"How do you know about it? I haven't told anyone about it. Don't tell me that idiot Xiao Yang sold me out? I knew it; I shouldn't have trusted that idiot." said Yulong cursing Xiao Yang internally.

"No, that idiot didn't sell you out. I just heard it while he was searching for Murdering Heart Powder. So you can relax, nobody other than me knows about it." said the guy in a hoarse voice.

"That idiot... So what do you mean when you said you want to help me? What do you gain out of it?" asked Yulong suspiciously. He's a cunning person and knows there's always an ulterior motive behind a risky task.

"I want you to kill that bastard, Xiao Che. I like his aunt and want to have her as my wife, but she never looks at anybody else other than him. I want to free Lingxi from his evil clutches and have her for myself. But for that to happen, Xiao Che needs to die." replied the guy passionately, leaking some murderous intention making Yulong scared shitless.

Yulong was now sure that the guy in front of him genuinely hates Xiao Che and started thinking about how to plan his moves.

"So will you accept my help or not? I will give you Murdering Heart Powder if you accept." said the guy making Yulong elated.

"Are you sure it is an authentic Murdering Heart Powder? I don't want any mishap to happen," asked Yulong doubtfully. He wanted to make sure the poison is real.

"You can test the poison if you want. My only job is to give you the poison. I'm waiting for you to murder him. If you failed your task, then I will come to take your head instead. Just remember that!" said the guy throwing a box to Yulong while giving a vicious glare showing his cultivation.

Yulong caught the box timidly nodded. He was sure the person in front of him was even stronger than his father. He doesn't want to die offending this guy.

"P-Please don't worry. I will carry out the task without any failure," replied Yulong, stuttering. He was drenched in cold sweats on the back.

"That's good. Just make sure to use it on the wedding day. I hope to hear good news soon." said the guy trying to leave the room, making Yulong sigh in relief.

But he turned around and gave him another glare making him terrified.

"And before I go, I heard some rumor that might be useful to you." said the guy making Yulong curious.

"What is it?" asked Yulong carefully.

"Xiao Ying used to have a powerful cultivator as a sworn brother. But I heard some powerful cultivators hunted that guy along with his wife. Xiao Ying saved the guy starting their brotherhood. Later, it seemed that the enemies found out about his relation and killed Xiao Ying." said the guy making Yulong shocked. He never thought the story behind Xiao Ying's death was so deep.

"How is this useful to me?" asked Yulong suspiciously.

"I was getting to the good part. I heard that the guy's wife gave birth to a son on the same day as Xiao Ying's wife. And most importantly, I heard the son was born with crippled primordial veins since birth." said the guy seriously, making Yulong wide-eyed.

"Y-You don't mean it." replied the stunned Yulong.

"I don't know. Nobody knows whether this is true or false. Xiao Che's birth was so discrete that nobody knows anything about it except his grandfather. Don't you think it's suspicious? Well, I just wanted to inform you about it. You do your part of the deal. We don't have time to verify whether it is true or false, isn't it? You can kill him first, then investigate it later." said the guy making Yulong regain his composure.

"That's right. I don't have time for this. Thank you for giving me the poison. I will carry out the task successfully. I can't wait to kill that bastard." replied Yulong, hatefully making the guy smirk internally.

"I'm expecting good news. I hope we never meet again." said the guy leaving Yulong alone in the room.

"I guess I need to change some plans. Xiao Che, you're days are numbered. You better enjoy it while you can, haha…" muttered Yulong with a malicious laugh.
