ANNE ALEXANDRIA CHLOE's POV

We are now having our class today while these two are now sitting here and Rachel's seat was taken by my crazy cousin. I just sighed as I turned to look at my left side where Dylan was sitting near the window while Nathan was sitting on my right side. I still can't believe that these two are now actually sitting here beside me. Well, honestly… Nathan and Dylan are having this weird conversation while I was sitting here in the middle.

"Hey, Ethan… Are you really sure that Chloe already forgives you?" Nathan suddenly asked that made me sighed. Nathan has been asking Dylan those things every time he's having a chance to talk to him just like now where our teacher is currently writing something on the board and he cannot see what Nathan has been doing here...

"What kind of question was that, Nathan? Of course, she is… Can't you see how tightly she hugs me a while ago?" Dylan said confidently that made me sighed as I calm myself because to be honest, this type of conversation they are having now is making me uncomfortable.

"Anyone can hug a handsome guy like that, Dylan…" I heard Nathan said as I saw in my peripheral vision when Dylan suddenly frowned.

"But Chloe is not someone who will suddenly hugged someone just without any valid reason." Dylan said seriously but still in a low voice. Well, Dylan has a point. I am not that kind of person… I heard Nathan suddenly sighed that made me took a short glance at him.

"Oh, I think you're right…" I heard Nathan said. What? So, that thought didn't even crossed your mind, Nathan!?

"Will you please stop already?" I said as I lower my voice while our teacher is writing on the whiteboard once again.

"Oh, that's right… Are you having lunch with Ethan later, Chloe?" I heard Nathan suddenly asked that made me turn to look at him as I arched my brows.

"Why did you ask?" I asked curiously that made him shrugged his shoulders.

"Because I need to do something important so I don't think I can accompany the two of you for lunch." I heard Nathan said disappointedly. Oh, really?

"It's all right. I don't want to be with you anyway." I said as I tried to annoyed him and look at him right now… He suddenly looks so annoyed and irritated when he heard me say that. Hahaha!

"How mean… I am your cousin to begin with, Chloe…" I heard Nathan said irritatedly. Why? Did I even say that you are not my cousin to begin with, Nathan? Hahaha! I was about to tease him once again when I suddenly heard Dylan speak.

"I think I'm the one who should apologize for that?" Dylan suddenly said that made Nathan and I confused. What was that mean?

"What?" Nathan and I said in unison. What was that supposed to mean?

"Because the reason why Chloe doesn't want to be with you right now is because of me..." Dylan said in a low voice while smiling at us before he returns his attention on our teacher. WHAT!?

"Oh really? Is that really true, Chloe?" Nathan asked suspiciously that made me nervous. Wait, don't tell me he already sense that we're just acting?

"Dylan is saying the truth." I said as I felt these two crazy guys gazed at me while I'm still looking at our teacher. Oh no… I honestly don't understand our lesson anymore and it's all because of these two. I just sighed. You have to calm down, Chloe. Yes, you have to calm down.

"Tsk. Fine… I actually didn't expect you to be this lovey dovey with your boyfriend, Chloe…" I heard Nathan said that made me even more uneasy. But believe it or not, I can't also believe myself on what I'm telling you right now, Nathan! I just took a deep sigh and ignore him because I don't know what to say anymore when I was brought back in my senses when the school bell suddenly rang and that only means it's lunch time already! We all stood up as we bid our farewell to our teacher.

"So let's see each other later, guys." Nathan said before he gave me a wink that gives shivers on my body. Wait, did he just winked at me? But everytime he does that… He's actually planning something that will definitely surprise us… But what exactly was that? I was about to ask him when he suddenly leave and left me here with Dylan who's just standing next to me.

"Is he a ninja?" Dylan suddenly asked that made me confused.

"What are you talking about?" I asked as I furrowed my brow. I just saw him smiled at me before he put both of his hands on his pants pocket.

"Because he can disappear and reappear in an instant just like how he did to me when he forgot his I.D. in his car a while ago and when he suddenly reappeared once again when he bangs the door of the classroom open and now, he once again disappears even before you utter a single word to him." I heard Dylan said that surprised me. How?

"How did you know that I was about to ask him something before he left just now?" I asked as I saw him turned to look at me as he gave me a gentle smile once again.

"Simply because I have been looking at you since I arrived here…" I heard Dylan said that made my heart skip a beat. What?

"W-what do you mean by that?" I asked as I tried not to startled but I just did! I just saw him shook his head while smiling at me before he gets our bags on our chair and carries it.

"Wait! Why did you suddenly get my bag on my chair?" I asked as I tried to get it from him but he refused.

"Let's go at the canteen first. I'm starving." I heard Dylan said. Oh, okay… I just nod at him before we both left our classroom but even though we already left our classroom… All the students we passed by as we walk beside each other are all staring at us that made me embarrassed. What should I do?

"What's wrong, Chloe?" I heard Dylan suddenly asked that made me returned my attention to him and saw him carrying two bags. Oh no… That's it! So that's also the reason why we are being stared at. I was about to get my bag from him once again when he suddenly stops me.

"What are you doing?" Dylan suddenly asked in confusion as we both stopped from walking as well.

"Can't you see? They're staring at us because you're carrying my bag." I said that made him look at our surroundings before he returned his attention to me.

"Why? What's wrong with that?" Dylan suddenly asked. What!?

"What? Can't you see? It's embarrassing, especially when this is the first time they saw me walking with a guy aside from my brother next to me and what's more of that is… That guy is actually a transfer student!" I said as softly as I could that made Dylan sighed before I felt his arms around my waist and gently pulled me closer to him that surprise me.

"We need this." Dylan suddenly said that made me confused. We need what?

"What do you mean?" I asked while body is still so close to him. I saw him smiled at me once again as he slowly gets closer to me.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked as I panicked when he suddenly whispered to me that gives shiver on my body.

"Why? Isn't this what a normal couple should do?" I heard Dylan suddenly said that made my cheeks hot. W-what?

"W-what couple? We are not a real couple to begin with, Dylan so please let go of me right now." I said as I tried to gently removed his arms around my waist when he even pulled me so close to him.

"Yes we are not a real couple but we should act like a real couple if you want this plan to work out." I heard Dylan said seriously that reminds me of our plan and also the contract. His right… We should act like a real couple but…

"But Dylan… This thing…" I said as I find the right words to say it that made Dylan distance his face with me but still as close I can feel his breathing.

"We are too close… Can't we just lessen the sweetness even for a 1%?" I asked as I saw him chuckled before he finally lets me go. Oh geez… And just like what I expected… All of them are staring at us now!

"Okay fine. I'll do what you say but in return..." Dylan suddenly said before he reached out my hand and held it that made surprised me.

"You have to look only at me, Chloe." Dylan said that made everyone surprised even me… And even though I know that all of this is just an act to make everyone believe especially my parents… Why does my heart beats so fast like this?

CHARLES ALEXANDER's POV

I am now at the office to give my opinion about the merger of the Martinez Empire and the Ramilan Empire. I just took a deep sighed before I leaned my back on my swivel chair and look at the ceiling. I know that there's a reason why dad asked for my presence in this meeting and I think that's because dad is sensing that Chloe and I are doing something fishy behind him. Well, it's true though but this is not the right time yet for dad to know about Dylan. I just sighed once again. I don't know how to make dad divert his attention to us but I really doubt that it will happen especially if dad is already suspecting us… My attention was diverted when my secretary suddenly knocks on my door before he enters.

"Vice President, Mr. Nathaniel Santillan is already here." My secretary asked as I nodded at him.

"Let him in." I said as I saw my secretary bows his head before he went out and not too long after my secretary left, my cousin Nathan finally came in.

"How was your flight, Nathan?" I asked as I hugged him and do a fistbump.

"It's fine but it's really great to be back in here." I heard Nathan said that made me smile before we walked towards the couch here in my office and sat there.

"Do you like some coffee?" I asked him and saw him shook his head.

"No, I'm fine. I just had one a while ago…" Nathan said that made me just nod. Is that so?

"Anyways, why did you suddenly message me to come here in an instant? Did something happen?" Nathan asked that made me took a deep breath. It's time…

"Well, I just want to ask you something…" I told him that made him just nod.

"What is it?" I heard Nathan asked seriously.

"How was Chloe and Dylan right now?" I asked as if I really don't have an idea who it was. I saw his face becomes serious before he leaned his back on the couch.

"They look fine especially Chloe..." I heard Nathan said that made me confused. What was that supposed to mean?

"What do you mean, Nathan?" I asked.

"Well, Dylan finally admits his faults in front of our class and asked for her forgiveness..." Nathan said seriously that shocked me. What?

"What do you mean, Nathan?" I asked. I don't get it. Why would Dylan admit his faults to her? And when did he done something like that to her?

"Well, Dylan said that when he left Chloe years ago and lost contact with her… He realized how important she is to him and that's why he asked for forgiveness and a second chance to Chloe in front of our class a while ago." Nathan said that made me realize something… Oh, they finally starts the game… I couldn't help myself but smile as I saw Nathan looking at me.

"Is that really all right, Charles? I mean, Chloe is already engaged with someone, right?" I heard Nathan asked that made me just nod. And that's also the reason why I asked you who is very close to our dad to transfer in St. Alfonse Academy… And that's for you to become one of our witnesses when the time comes that dad finally knows about Dylan and Chloe's relationship.

"Yes because as a brother… I only want my one and only sister to be happy." I said that made him just nod.

"But to be honest, I really don't know how to tell this to dad right now…" I said as I brushed my fingers through my hair.

"Let me guess… You want me to help you convince uncle, right?" I heard Nathan said that made me just nod. As expected of him.

"Can you help us? Especially Chloe?" I asked as I saw him took a deep breath.

"Fine. I'll help you think of a way, Charles." Nathan finally said that made me smiled once again. Finally! I know that you can never reject such a request, Nathan especially if Chloe is involved in it. Because Nathan treats Chloe like his real sister and I know that it's not right to use his weakness for him take our side but we have to do this because after all, this is all for Chloe's sake, right?
