DYLAN ETHANIEL's POV

"Now what? Tell me where we are going now." I said seriously while we're here at his car. I don't know why but this kind of atmosphere is making me uncomfortable.

"Why don't you just sit there and wait until we get there?" I heard Isaiah said that annoys me. What? I hate to say this but even if I haven't killed anyone else since my life begins… I'm afraid that I might dirty my hands for the first time in my life and killed this b*stard right here and right now.

"Stop the car." I said seriously before I removed my seatbelt that made him took a glance at me.

"What?" I heard Isaiah asked in shock.

"I said, stop the car!" I said as I saw him startled while still driving.

"Are you insane!? We're in the highway right now! We can't just do that!" I heard Isaiah said nervously while still focused on driving. Who cares about that!? Just stop this freaking car right now!

"If you want to die then just die alone! I still have Lady Chloe that I must protect." I heard Isaiah said that made me stop and returned my attention to him. What?

"What the hell are you talking about? What Lady Chloe that you must protect? I think you're the one who's insane here." I told him in an authoritative voice. He's been mentioning that ever since a while ago and to be honest, it's making me so damn annoying!

"I'm serious." I heard Isaiah said that made me confused. What?

"Do you really think I will believe you? Stop this damn car right now!" I said as I couldn't suppress my voice and I suddenly shouted at him.

"Lady Chloe is in the hospital since last night!" I heard he said seriously that shocked me. What?

"What?" I asked while my heart is beating so fast right now. Why? What happened to her? I saw him took a deep sighed while still focused on driving.

"Lady Chloe is in the hospital since last night…" I heard he said as he repeated what he just said. Geez. That's not what I mean!

"W-what is she doing there? What happened to her, huh?" I asked continuously while still looking at him. Wait, could it be that...

"Did you do something to her again!?" I asked him that made him startled as he immediately shook his head.

"Are you nuts!? I didn't do anything and I won't allow anyone to hurt her while I'm still here!" I heard Isaiah said as he yelled at me. What?

"I don't get what you're trying to say but what exactly happened to her?" I asked him once again as I tried to calm myself.

"Just like what I've said earlier… I am not in the position to tell those things to you right now because Master Charles only ordered me to pick you up." Isaiah said that made me arched my brows. Wait a minute… Why does he keep on calling them like that?

"Why do you keep on calling them 'Master' and 'Lady' anyway?" I asked seriously. I wonder why he keeps on calling them like that… I saw him took a deep sigh while still driving.

"Because I'm now working for them." I heard Isaiah Natividad said that shocked me. What!?

"What? Are you serious?" I asked in surprise. No way… How could Xander hired someone who is more or less the reason why his sister got into that dangerous situation!? I was about to speak once again when this person's phone suddenly rings. Tsk. This is unbelievable… Xander will never do something like---

"Speaking of My Lady's brother… Do you want to talk to him? Because I'm driving right now." I heard Isaiah said that made me even more surprised. Seriously? I saw him lend his phone to me and he's right… This is really Xander's number.

"Hello, Xander…" I said seriously. Is it really him?

[Oh. Hi there, Dylan. I thought you wouldn't go with him that's why I have decided to call him because you're not answering your phone.] This is really Xander's voice. I closed my eyes as I took a deep breath while calming myself before I started to speak.

"What the hell is this guy saying about him working at your family?" I asked him before I glared at the person who's now sitting beside me.

[Oh that… I hired Isaiah as Chloe's personal bodyguard.] Xander simply said. WHAT!?

"WHAT!? ARE YOU REALLY OUT OF YOUR MIND, RAMIREZ!?" I said as I could no longer hide my anger. Is this guy crazy? How can he hired someone so dangerous like this person!?

[I know what I'm doing so stop yelling at me, La Flair!] I heard Xander yelled at me as well that made me just took a deep breath while still calming myself. Seriously? How can I calm down when he's being so unreasonable!?

"What did you just say? You know what you're doing? Then have you forgotten that this guy is also the person who kidnaps your sister and traumatized her!?" I said angrily that made this guy driving beside me throw a death glare at me. What? I'm just saying the truth, right?

[Dylan… I will never forget that day, okay? But for now, will you please just go with him peacefully and don't do anything that will harm the both of you, okay? I'm so exhausted right now to argue with you so I'll just explain everything as soon as you two arrives here.] I heard Xander said seriously but you can clearly from his voice his tiredness. I just took a deep sigh as I nodded my head.

"Fine." I said as I finally gave in. Do I still have a choice anyway? I just took a deep sigh before I returned to this guy his phone. Wait a minute… I think I forgot to ask him what happened to Chloe. I brushed my fingers through my hair. Oh geez. Seriously? Of all questions, why did I forget to ask him that!?

We just arrived at the hospital and as soon as we get off the car, we went to Chloe's room on the second floor and as we look for her room… We saw Xander talking to someone on his phone at the lounge as if he's already waiting for us.

"Xander…" I called him as we walk closer to him that made him raised his head up that shocked me. What's with him? He really look so haggard.

"I'm glad that you two are finally here…" I heard Xander said as he smiled weakly at us.

"Yes, so where's Chloe right now?" I asked as I saw him took a deep breath before he asked Isaiah to leave us alone here.

"Let's talk here first." I heard Xander said as he tapped the sit next to him. I just nod at him before I sat beside him.

"So where is she right now?" I asked him once again.

"She's in her room right now." Xander said. He looks so problematic right now. Why? What exactly really happened?

"What exactly did happened to her, Xander?" I asked once again as I saw took a deep breath before he leaned on his seat.

"Last night..." Xander said before he divert his attention to look at the ceiling.

"She commited suicide last night." Xander said seriously that made me stopped. What?

"What did you just say?" I asked in shock. No way… Chloe is not that kind of person, right? Chloe is a strong willed girl who never gives up that easily…

"She slit her wrist last night." Xander said before he took a deep breath as if he's trying to calm himself.

"Why? What happened, Xander?" I asked him as I saw him taking long and deep breaths. Why? Why did Chloe suddenly do that?

"I think it's something related to her boyfriend...or shall I say, ex boyfriend." I heard Xander said seriously but you can also hear from his voice his hatred. Ex boyfriend?

"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion. What does he mean by that?

"Honestly, I really don't know what exactly happened but based on what Lily had told me last Saturday when she got the chance to talk to Chloe when we saw her crying the night she fought with that guy..." Xander said seriously but if you really know him well… You can clearly see in his eyes that he is not just simply serious right now… He is also mad right now.

"She said that Christian finally knows the truth about Chloe's marriage and also the secret tradition we have in our family." Xander said as he tightens his grip on his fist. I just took a deep sigh as I tapped his shoulders to calm down a bit.

"Then what happened?" I asked and saw him gritted his teeth. See? He's really mad right now.

"Obviously, he couldn't accept it until that Christian broke up with her but it didn't end just like that…" Xander said that made me confused. What?

"What do you mean?" I asked him in confusion. To be honest, I have a feeling that there's something worse happened after that...

"Our parents also returned last Saturday from a business trip in China and when dad opens up the topic about Chloe's engagement with the Martinez's heir once again then Chloe suddenly talked back to dad that results dad to accidentally slaps her." I heard Xander said that caught me off guard. What?

"Then yesterday night… Our maids found out that Chloe commited suicide." Xander said as he continues what he was saying before he brushed his fingers through his hair out of frustration.

"How did this happen?" I heard Xander said as cover his face using his hands. Xanders...

"I know that Chloe's not as weak as this but let's face the reality… All of us has their own limits, right? And as for Chloe…" I heard Xander said before he leaned back on his seat once again before he turned to look at me.

"She could no longer take these problems anymore and to make things even more worse, that Christian suddenly broke up with her that triggers her big time that's why she did something like this…" Xander said as I saw him took a deep breath before diverting his attention from me.

"She really do love that Christian guy, huh…" I said while I'm still looking at hopeless Xander. Actually, this is the first time I have seen him like this though I can also understand why he is acting like this because if ever something like this happens to Diane… I actually don't know what to do anymore...

"Yes, you're right but still that doesn't mean she needs to do that." I heard Xander said as I saw him trying to suppress his tears from falling. It's not like Xander's weak, it's just that… Xander really loves and treasure his sister that deeply.

"For goodness sake, Dylan… I almost lost my sister because of what they had done to her!" I heard Xander said in frustration while I'm still tapping his shoulders to calm him down.

"It broke my heart into pieces because I never would have imagined that she might do something like this…" I heard Xander said before I heard him took a deep and long breath.

"Chloe is my one and only sister, Dylan and I don't want to lose her just because of them..." I heard Xander said furiously as I nodded my head.

"I know… I understand what you're saying, Xander..." I said while I'm still calming him. After all, we're still here at the hospital and he is still the heir of the Ramilan Empire.

"Dylan..." I was back in my senses when I suddenly heard Xander called me that made me look at him once again.

"What is it?" I asked and I saw him staring at me. What are you thinking, Xander?

"I'm sorry but I really need your help right now." I heard Xander said that made me confused. Help in what?

"Please ask her to marry you now…" I heard Xander suddenly said that made my eyes grew wider. What?

"What?" No way… Is he serious?

"We don't have any more time left, Dylan… Our father will definitely use this as an opportunity to make their engagement in public and if that happens… I don't know what Chloe might do to her when that time comes…" Xander said while still looking at me. What?

"But Xander…" I said in hesitant but we just started. I mean, our plans just got started and I doubt that their parents would believe our fake relationship if they learn about us now…

"Please! I'm begging you as a friend, Dylan…" I heard Xander said once again that made me just sighed. Seriously? How can I reject my best friend's request while looking at me like that?

"Fine… I'll do what I can, Xander." I said as I finally gave in that made him smile at me.

"Thank you, Dylan…" I heard Xander said that made me just nod as I tapped his shoulders. We're going to do it sooner or later anyways so might as well do it now, right? Especially right now that Chloe needs me more.
