"I'm glad that she has finally calms down." I heard Xander said that made me returned my attention to him who's sitting on the chair beside the sleeping Chloe while I'm sitting here in the sofa not too far away from them.

"What do you mean?" I asked that made him turn to look at me.

"Ever since she woke up, she hasn't stopped crying not until you came and talk to dad." Xander said that made him just nod. Really?

"But seriously… I'm so freakin' worried about you when dad started to question you a while ago… You're really a smart guy, you know. Literally, smart guy." Xander said that made me smile in relief as I started to remember our conversation a while ago.

"I know right but you don't know how scared I was when your dad has been asking me those things…" I said as I smiled at him that made him chuckle. But seriously speaking, my whole body feels so cold and my mind couldn't function well a while ago because of how intimidating their father was but I must admit that I'm just really lucky a while ago to be able to speak with their strict father in a calm way… I just sighed.

"By the way… Are you sure you didn't have any girlfriends before?" I heard Xander asked me once again that made me shake my head as I crossed my arms on my c.h.e.s.t.

"I know that it's impossible to believe this but I really never had a girlfriend before." I said honestly while still looking at me that made him surprised. Yes, that's right… I haven't had any relationship before… Not because I don't like girls but because the person I like the most doesn't like me back.

"Seriously? But have you already fallen in love?" Xander asked once again that made me returned my attention to him. What kind of question was that?

"Of course. What do you think of me? A robot?" I told him while glaring at him that made him laugh. Tsk. This guy is really crazy...

"Oh well… Who might be her? And why didn't you court her if you love her?" I heard Xander suddenly asked that made me stopped. That...

"It's not that I don't have the courage to court her, Xander... It's just that, she doesn't love me." I said as I remembered the time when we were still close friends before she starts to avoid me after I confessed my feelings to her.

"Wait… So does that mean…" Xander suddenly said while still looking at me in shock. Oh, let me guess… He's going to make fun of me.

"You got dumped by a girl?" This guy said that made me just sighed that made him laugh so hard. See that? He's a certified bully.

"Oh shut up." I said that made him even more laugh. Oh geez.

"Lower down your voice. You might wake up Chloe, Xander." I said seriously at him that made him immediately stops as I saw him suddenly look at his sister sleeping peacefully on that hospital bed. I couldn't help myself but smile. If Xander was saying the truth a while ago… Then I'm glad that Chloe is starting to accept me even as her friend because based on what Rachel had told me before. Chloe has this kind of attitude where she can't trust anyone easily that is why I am happy that Chloe is starting to feel comfortable with me.

"But seriously, Dylan... I never would have imagined that you're going to experience that…" I heard Xander said and obviously he's mocking me. I just sighed. I know right but that's what love is...

"Well, that's love, after all…" I said before I turned to look outside the window. Love can make you do things that you least expected to do...

"How about you, Xander?" I asked him as I change our topic before this guy starts to make fun of me once again.

"What about me?" I heard Xander asked that made me returned my attention to him and saw him looking at me curiously.

"When are you going to start moving on?" I asked that made his expression suddenly changed.

"I don't know… Maybe, never..." I heard Xander suddenly said that made me furrowed my brow. What? He can't be serious… He already has a wife now.

"But Xander… You already have a wife and I've also heard from Nathan and Chloe that your wife loves you so why---" I said as I tried to explain to him to finally let go of my sister because for me, I know that my sister wants him to be happy but I could no longer finished what I'm saying when Xander started to speak again.

"Stop… You're still not my brother-in-law yet so stop meddling with my business." Xander said seriously that surprised me. Huh?

"What?" I asked. Wait, what's that again? I saw him took a deep sigh before looking back at me with those serious eyes of him.

"Just wait to become part of our family before you bothering me, my brother-in-law to be." I heard Xander said before smirking at me that made me sigh while shaking my head. He's really not listening to me. We're just talking about random things about work when the door of Chloe's room suddenly opens that made Xander and I turn to look at it.

"YOUNG MASTER!" Francis said that made my eyes grew wider. What is Francis doing here!?

"Francis! What are you doing here yelling like that? And why are you with the police?" I asked as I saw three policemen is with him. Wait, did something happen? I was about to ask again when Francis, our butler suddenly speaks.

"Because this person has reported to the police that you went missing that's why I'm also here, young master." I heard Francis said while still catching his breath. What? Who's that?

"What? Who was that---Marvin?" I said in shocked as soon as I saw him with Rachel entering the room.

"Thank goodness that you're fine, Ethan." I heard Rachel said

"Ethan!" Marvin suddenly said that made me turn to look at Chloe who is still sleeping peacefully. Oh geez. This guy.

"Keep quiet, Marvin. This is a hospital and will you please explain to me what's happening right now?" I asked as I walked closer to them.

"Huh? Have you forgotten that you told me to call the police once I couldn't reached your phone after an hour after you left? So that's what I did…" I heard Marvin said when I suddenly remembered what I've told him a while ago. Oh, that's right. How could I forget about that?

"I'm sorry. My mind was just too preoccupied with a lot of things." I said before I talk to and explain everything to the policemen and when they finally leave… I really thought that this annoying guy will also leave as well but unfortunately...

"What happened to our princess, King!?" Marvin exclaimed that made me sighed once again. He's so loud!

"It's better if you lower down your voice before my sister wakes up." I heard Xander said strictly that made me smile. Oh, here comes the ever protective brother. Hahaha!

"Oh yes. He's right, Marvin. And please stop exaggerating, okay?" I heard Rachel said while standing beside him.

"Fine… I'm sorry, King… I was just worried about her." Marvin said while smiling at the serious Xander. Hahaha! Anyways, who would actually hold the hand of a girl in front of her bro---wait… What?

"Marvin, let go of her hand." I said as I walked closer to them and saw looking at me those playful smile of him. Okay... Marvin, don't ever dare say nasty things in front of your crush's brother, okay? Or else, you will definitely be out.

"Oh wow. I thought you're not jealous of me, Ethan?" Marvin suddenly said that made me just sighed. Okay, he got me there, though I'm not actually jealous because I have no reasons to but I must continue to play the role as Chloe's fiance or boyfriend wherever we are...

"Okay, fine. I take it back so let go of her hand now." I said before I personally separate their hands that made Rachel and Marvin chucked. Okay, so they're just making fun of me. I was about to speak when Xander suddenly speak.

"So you two are my sister's classmates?" I heard Xander said when he suddenly became serious. Hmmm…? Could it be that he suddenly becomes serious because he's just being a role model and student council president of St. Alfonse Academy or he just doesn't like the fact that Marvin held his sister's hand? Either way, he looks really strict right now. Far different from the usual Xander that I know. Hahaha!

"Yes. I am Rachel and this is Marvin." Rachel introduced themselves politely.

"I'm glad to finally meet you, Rachel. Thank you for being a good friend to her always." Xander said politely that made Rachel blush while Marvin arched his brows while looking at them. Oh, I think I smell a love triangle here. Hahaha!

"Ah t-that… I-i'ts nothing…" Rachel said as she startled. Hahaha!

"Dylan…" My attention was diverted when I suddenly heard Xander called me with a serious tone.

"What?" I asked as I saw him staring at his phone. What is it?

"We have to go somewhere." Xander suddenly said that confused me.

"Huh? Right now?" I asked as I saw him returned his phone in his pants pocket and look at me with those serious eyes.

"Yes, this is very important." Xander said seriously. Wait, what happened? What's with that message?

"But what about Chloe? We can't leave her alone..." I said worriedly knowing that Chloe is still not in a good condition. She might do something again...

"Don't worry, Ethan… We can look for her until you two comes back, right?" I heard Rachel suddenly said that made me turned to look at her. Really?

"Yes, she's right! Entrust the princess with us." Marvin said excitedly that made me furrowed my brow. You sound so suspicious, bro.

"Ahm… Rachel, right?" We heard Xander suddenly said before approaching her.

"Y-yes, King?" Rachel said. Okay, relax… You have to breathe properly, Rachel. Hahaha! Just kidding.

"Stop calling me that already. We're not in school anyway." Xander said with a prince like voice. Stop flirting with your sister's best friend, Xander! Hahaha!

"Okay." Rachel said while still looking at Xander. She really likes him, doesn't she?

"Okay, I'm leaving my sister's personal bodyguard here and if this guy suddenly do something… Just yell and that person will immediately help you, okay?" Xander said that almost made me laugh. Oh geez. Look at the face of Marvin. Hahaha! So hilarious!

"Oh come on. I'm not planning to do anything to her, King." Marvin said seriously that made me smile.

"I'm just making sure." Xander said that made Rachel laughed. See that? I think that Xander is starting to get annoyed with Marvin already. Hahaha!

"Anyways, we're going now. Please take care of her." Xander said before he walked towards my direction. I saw them both nodded their heads.

"We will!" They both said before we decided to leave and go to the place that Xander is talking about.

"What is this all about, dad? Mom?" I heard Xander asked his parents who's sitting across us. We are now here at a cafe where his parents are. Actually, he told me on the way here that the one who message him was his mother, informing him that they are waiting here at the cafe because they want to talk to us. Yes, he wants to talk to me as well, which makes me nervous.

"To talk about the engagement." His father suddenly said that made me confused. Of whom?

"Engagement of whom, dad?" Xander asked that made his parents took a deep sigh.

"Engagement of your sister with her boyfriend, Charles." His mother suddenly said before his parents suddenly turn to look at me.

"Boyfriend?" I heard Xander suddenly asked before looking at me as well. Huh?

"Me?" I asked unconsciously that made his parents nodded their heads. So, it's really me!?

"Yes. Who else, Dylan La Flair?" His father said sternly that startled me. Is there any moment that this man can talk to someone with a friendly aura?

"W-wait a minute… I thought you didn't like me then why did you suddenly accepted me?" I asked because this is too sudden. They just met me for the first time a while ago, right? Then why did they suddenly accepted me?

"So should I make our daughter marry that Martinez guy instead?" Their father said seriously that made me shake my head.

"N-no! That's not what I mean, Mr. Ramirez…" I said while looking at him straight in his eyes. What's with that? I didn't even say no to him.

"Then stop asking sign these papers." Their father said before he gave me a doc.u.ment. Huh? Wait, is this for real?

"W-what is this?" I asked while still reading the doc.u.ments. No way… Are they serious about this?

"I can't let my daughter marry someone who's their company is about to go bankrupt. After all, we have a name and reputation to take care of that's why I have decided to invest in your company instead…" Their father said as if this was nothing to him. I mean, he is investing a huge amount of money in our company for goodness sake!

"But in return… You must give me a consent us your consent that you're allowing us to manage the 'La Flair Conglomerates'..." Their father said. That's what I have expected… They will never risk such huge amount of money just to invest in a company who is about to fall.

"But---" I said but was interrupted when their father suddenly glared at me.

"I'm not finished yet, Dylan La Flair." Their father said seriously that made me stopped.

"I-i'm sorry…" I said. Oh no… I can't believe that I will be having a strict and heartless father-in-law even though this will be just a fake marriage...

"And after you graduate then that's the time I'm going to return the company to you." Their father suddenly said that made me stopped. What? So they will return it back to me after I graduated from my studies?

"Isn't that a good opportunity for you to concentrate on your studies alone? And I'm perfectly sure that before you even graduated from your studies… Your company can withstand even the Martinez Empire under my management." Their father said seriously as if he's doing a business negotiation with me...or is he really doing some negotiation with me? But why?

"W-why are you doing this, Mr. Ramirez?" I asked that made him even more serious.

"Because I can't let my daughter marry someone who is lower than the Martinez Empire." He said directly. Oh, it somehow hurt my ego but he is right. Our company needs someone to support us and if that company will be the Ramilan Empire then it will be easy to bring back the company to what it was...

"Take it or leave it, Dylan La Flair… It's up to you…" I heard their father said. I just took a deep sigh before holding the pen. It will be until I graduated so until then...

"Good. I'm very honored to welcome you in our company, Dylan Ethaniel La Flair...or shall I say, Dylan." I heard Mr. Ramirez said after I finally signed the doc.u.ments. I made the right decision, right?

"Thank you. I promise to take good care of your daughter." I said as I bow my head to show my full respect. This is my goal in the first after all, right? To bring our company back on its track and find that person who brings all this problems with us.

"Welcome to our family, Dylan…" I heard Mrs. Ramirez said that made me returned my attention to them and saw them looking at me.

"Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Ramirez…" I said that made Mrs. Ramirez shook her head while smiling at me.

"No... Just call us aunt and uncle, Dylan. Right, Alexis?" Mrs. Ramirez said before she turns to look at her husband.

"Yes, you're right." Their father said before he smiled at me. Wait a minute… My mind can't process everything that is happening right now… D-did I really gain the approval of their parents just now? Seriously!?
