ANNE ALEXANDRIA CHLOE's POV

"Let me hold your hand. I am your fiance, remember?" I heard Dylan said that made me furrowed my brows. Huh?

"But I'm not used to it." I said before I stood up and was about to walk when Dylan suddenly held and intertwined our hands that made me look at him in surprise. What is he doing?

"Well, you have to get used to it from now on." Dylan said before he pulled me gently as we walk towards the dining room. I couldn't help myself but took a deep breath because for some reason, I don't know why but my heart started beating so fast right now…

"What's wrong? Are you okay, Chloe?" I heard Dylan suddenly asked that made me returned my attention to him and saw him looking at me worriedly. Huh?

"Of course, I am… Why did you suddenly asked that?" I asked him back while we're still walking slowly and looking at each other. Why? Do I look like I'm not okay? I saw him took a deep sighed before he started speaking again.

"I sometimes wonder… What's running on your mind, Chloe?" Dylan suddenly asked that made me arched my brows. What was that supposed to mean? I was about to ask him about that when we finally reached the dining room. That's weird. Why are they looking at me like that? Did something happen? I was about to speak when I suddenly realized that Dylan was still holding my hand. Oh no! So this is why they are looking at me! I was about to let go of his hand when Dylan suddenly tightens his hold onto my hand. W-what's wrong with him!?

"Oh my… What a sweet couple. I have never imagined that I will be seeing Chloe together with her boyfriend happily…" Mom said excitedly that made dad just nod while still looking at us. I… I think we already convince dad…? Because the way he looks at us now doesn't shows like he's doubting us or something… Have we finally convince them that we have a relationship? I was brought back in my senses when Dylan suddenly let go of my hand before he pulled a chair for me. Oh, okay… I just nod at him before I sat down while Dylan sat beside his siblings and me.

"Before anything else..." Dad suddenly said before we saw him stood up while staring at us. When I say us, it's me and Dylan that made us turned to look at each other. What's happening?

"I just want to make a toast for my daughter and future son-in-law." Dad say while still standing and held his glass of wine up. W-wait… What did dad just say!?

"Dylan La Flair, my soon to be son-in-law." Dad said while still standing and holding his glass of wine. Wait a minute… It's like, my mind can't function properly. What's happening to dad? I mean, why did he suddenly became so kind to Dylan? My attention was returned to Dylan when I saw him nod his head before he gets his glass of wine and stood up.

"Yes, uncle…?" We heard Dylan suddenly asked while holding his glass of wine.

"Welcome to the Ramirez Family." My dad said as he smiled at Dylan that made all of including sister Lily, brother and Dylan's siblings surprised. W-wait! Did dad just smiled at him? I mean, our cold and strict dad just smiled at Dylan!? How? How did that happened!? I saw Dylan nodded his head as they toast a cheers before we toast a cheers as well. But seriously… How did Dylan managed to make my dad smiled like that? I mean, dad rarely smiles. As in very rarely but… Dad just smiled at Dylan who is just his fake son-in-law!?

"What are you looking at, Chloe?" I was brought back in my senses when I suddenly heard Dylan's voice that made me realize that I have been looking at him for quite a long time now!

"H-huh? N-nothing! That was nothing." I said before I drink my water. Wait… Did I just startled? My attention was once diverted when mom suddenly laughs that made all of us look at her.

"Oh sorry… I just couldn't believe that Chloe can make such cute expressions just like this." I heard my mom said while smiling at me.

"M-mom!" I said that made me mom laugh even more.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Hahaha!" I heard mom that made me just smiled. I'm happy to see mom smiling like that even though she's just making fun of me. Hahaha!

"But your mom was right, Chloe…" Dad suddenly said that brought me back in my senses.

"Dad…" I said while still looking at him who's just simply looking at me while still smiling. Oh no… I think I'm starting to get emotional once again. After all, this is one of the rarest times where dad will look at me with those gentle eyes of him.

"Anyways, let's eat now before the food gets cold." My mom suddenly said before we all nodded our heads as we started to pick what we want. Hmmm…? I think I should eat light food for now. I was about to get something when I suddenly heard Dylan speaks.

"What do you want?" Dylan asked that confused me.

"Huh?" I asked. What does he mean by that? I saw him took a deep sigh before getting the pasta on the table.

"How about this? You like pasta, right?" Dylan said that confused me even more. How did he know that I love pasta? But anyways, I can't eat this pasta unfortunately because this is a seafood pasta and I'm allergic to shrimps.

"No, I'm actually allergic---" I said but was interrupted when Dylan suddenly speaks and returned the pasta on the table before he gets the other one. The vegan pasta.

"Oh, right. I'm sorry I forgot that you're allergic to shrimps. Here." I heard Dylan said before he put some vegan pasta on my plate. H-how?

"How---" I was about to ask again when Dylan suddenly speaks before he returned the vegan pasta on the table and looks at me once again.

"Of course, I know that. We may be parted for quite a long time but I could still remember everything about you." Dylan said that made me heart skip a beat. Dylan knew? Does that mean he already did a research about me before tonight's dinner? I just nodded my head while still looking at him. Dylan really takes this fake relationship seriously just to save me from that Martinez guy even though they didn't know the truth of why I hated that guy so much…

"Come to think of it… How did you two meet and where?" Dad suddenly asked out of the blue that made the both of us look at each other once again. Oh no...

"Ahm…" I said while I'm trying to think of a scenario. Wait… I couldn't think of anything! What should I do now!? I'm now deep in my thoughts when I suddenly heard Dylan speaks.

"We first met at an alleyway. I saved her from one of her stalkers." Dylan said that made my eyes grew wider. What did he just say!? Is he planning to tell them what happened to me that night!?

"What? When did that happen? Why didn't you tell us, Chloe?" My mom asked in panic. Oh no… This is bad… Dad's expression suddenly changes as well. What should I do?

"Ahm… I'm sorry, mom… Dad… I just don't want you to worry about me…" I said as politely as I could as I bow my head. Oh no… What have you done, Dylan!?

"And where's that person, Dylan?" Dad suddenly asked that made me raise my head up as I turn to look at dad who's seriously looking at Dylan. No way! You can't definitely tell him that it was my personal bodyguard who did that!

"Ahm… He managed to escape but what's more important for me that time is to save her and that's how we first met…" I heard Dylan suddenly said before returned his attention to me as he gently smiled at me that made me sigh in relief. Thank goodness he didn't say anything anymore...

"Sounds like unrealistic but based on Chloe's reaction… That must be really true." I heard Dad said that made me turn to look at him as I saw him looking at me amusingly. Huh!?

"D-dad!" I said that made my dad shrugged his shoulders while still smiling. Oh geez...

"How could you say that, Alexis… Have you forgotten that you also saved me from one of my stalkers before?" Mom suddenly said that made all of us stopped. What?

"I did?" Dad asked in disbelief. Oh… Wait, this is the first time that we will be hearing this interesting story because they rarely talk about their love life before. Hehehe.

"Yes, you did. How could you forget that?" Mom said that made dad laughed. Eh? Dad...laughed!?

"Oh, right but instead of thanking me… You yelled and pushed me away like I am the bad guy." Dad suddenly said before he drank his wine. Eh? Wait… That scene sounds familiar to me...

"Chloe did the same thing to me as well, uncle!" Dylan suddenly said that made me gently slap his arm.

"Hey!" I said as I heard my mom and sister chuckled. Goodness! Why do you have to say that, Dylan!?

"Really? Looks like they are really mother and daughter." Dad said while still smiling so widely. I don't understand why but I feel so happy right now.

"But we couldn't help it, you know. We're both scared that time, right?" Mom said before he turns to look at me that made me just nod.

"Mom was right!" I said that made all of them laughed. Why? What's wrong with what I just say?

"Oh, I suddenly remembered something…" Sister Lily suddenly said that made all of us turned to look at her. Hmmm…?

"What is it, Lily?" I heard mom asked while looking at sister Lily.

"Father… Mother... I also saved Charles before." Sister Lily said that made all of us surprised. What!?

"What!? When was that?" Brother asked in disbelief.

"When you're about to get hit by our classmate because you steal his girlfriend." Sister Lily said so seriously that made us all laughed. Oh geez. Brother, you're really something...

"What the! You know that I didn't do that, Lily! It's not like we really do have a relationship in the first place." Brother said that made all of laughed even more. Why are you so defensive, brother? Hahaha!

"Wow. Your brother is really handsome, Chloe. A chick magnet." I heard Dylan suddenly said before he winks at me. Hahaha!

"You're right, Dylan." I said that made all of us even more laughed while brother is...

"Hey! Stop being so sarcastic, Chloe! And you too, Dylan!" Brother said annoyingly while we're still laughing. Honestly speaking, this is the first time something like this happens because everytime we're eating together… We rarely talk to one another or sometimes we really never talk the whole time until we finished eating but now… We are all actually laughing and enjoying this dinner. My attention was diverted to Dylan as I saw him serving his siblings. Thank you, Dylan...

DYLAN ETHANIEL's POV

We just finished our dinner and we are now here at the living room once again while I'm looking at my siblings talking to Chloe's mother, brother and sister-in-law. I couldn't help myself but smile. I'm happy to see them smiling like that. Actually, it's been a while since I've seen those two let their guard down.

"Can I have some of your time?" My attention was suddenly diverted when I heard uncle's voice just right beside me. Oh no… How long has he been there? I couldn't help myself but gulped as I slowly nod my head.

"Of course, uncle." I said politely before he sat beside me. I don't know why but I'm still not comfortable around him.

"Do you want to know why I suddenly accepted you as Chloe's fiance even though your company still can't surpass the Martinez Empire?" Uncle said that almost startled me. Huh?

"Uncle?" I asked because I was too shocked just now. I saw him smiled at me while holding a glass of wine.

"Well, firstly because of your bravery. It's so rare to find a young man that can talk to me just like how you always do especially when we first met." Uncle said before he looked at me once again. R-really?

"Secondly, 'La Flair Conglomerates' does have a good reputation for the past decades before that incident happens to your company." Uncle said as he continues what he was saying. Hmmm… Yes, he is right about that anyway.

"And lastly because Chloe loves you." Uncle said that completely caught my attention as I returned my attention with him once again. What?

"Seriously speaking, it's rare in the children in our family to get married with the person they love because it's either they haven't found that person that they will love for the rest of their lives or that person didn't qualified to be part of the Ramirez Family except for you that's why I'm grateful that Chloe found you." Uncle said continuously while looking at them.

"Uncle..." I said. Wait, I think I misjudged him… I think that I really misjudged Alexis Ramirez. Maybe the reason why he is sometimes cruel is because he is just trying to protect those things and people that are really important to him.

"Chloe may be annoying spoiled brat and doesn't even know anything about household chores but she is still my daughter and if you ever hurt even a single strand of her hair. I will never forgive you, Dylan La Flair." Uncle said that gives me shivers on my body. Oh geez. He's threatening me again.

"That will never happen, uncle…" I said politely.

"That's good to hear then, son-in-law." Uncle said as he tapped my shoulder before he drinks his wine while looking at them. I just sighed before returning my attention to where Chloe and my siblings are. I'm perfectly sure that I can never hurt her because from the very beginning… We don't have a single romantic feelings towards each other aside from a pure friendship so I'm sure that it won't never happen.
