Child Of God

Acnologia and Pitou were walking towards the castle where her people had now taken as their HQ. The reason for them to walk here was that Acnologia had felt a massive power spike here a day before. It almost equalled his own power and this was exactly what he was looking for. He was searching for a fun fight, and this was the moment he had waited all these years for.

"Master, what shall we do about the king's two other royal guards? Shall we kill them as well, or leave them for those despicable humans to take care off?" Pitou said while walking with a neutral expression on her face. She had no loyalty towards her own species anymore. She belonged to one person, so she didn't care what happened to the rest of the world, as long as her master was safe and sound.

"Can you kill them?" He glanced back at her, and she bowed her head as she met his gaze. Pitou didn't dare meet Acnologia's gaze. She was but a lowly ant, and she didn't have the privilege to catch her master's eye in any way.

"Menthuthuyoupi is that one I can't kill. Shaiapouf is an instakill if I aim to assassinate him while he is fighting another opponent. Should I take care of it?" Pitou said while walking with her head down.

"Kill Shaiapouf, and leave that Youpi guy for the humans to take care off. I myself is going to kill the king. It's been a long time since I have been this excited for a fight." He smiled from ear to ear, and his excitement was almost bubbling over. Every step left a hole in the ground, and his aura uprooted trees and caused dark clouds to follow him as he walked.

"I hear and obey, Master!" Pitou said emotionlessly. A royal guard would rip you to pieces for talking about killing the king like Acnologia was doing. But the only thought inside Pitou's mind was whether the king would offer enough entertainment for her master.

"Oh, look, a dragon!" Acnologia said and watched as a yellow energy dragon appeared over the ant HQ. It was massive and drowned the land in its powerful pressure. And on this dragon's back stood two old men with no emotions visible on their face.

"Do you feel that, Netero?" The old man responsible for summoning this dragon said and looked at the man identified as Isaac Netero. And he nodded and looked in Acnologia's direction.

"Two powerful auras. And one of them makes the other one feel like an ant, hahaha" Netero said and managed to laugh without displaying a single emotion on his face. It was a creepy thing to accomplish and he almost looked like a devil as he laughed.

"Zeno, go intercept, I will go take a look at this king," Netero said without a care in the world. But that was just on the surface. Underneath it all, he was very aware that he would probably die this day.

"hm," Zeno said and made a hand sign and the dragon exploded and split into thousands of mini attacks that bombarded the building. And Zeno jumped away from the dragon towards Acnologia's location.

Acnologia and Pitou had stopped. They were looking at the majestic firework show that Zeno created. He had landed in the forest and he was running towards Acnologia. And he arrived quickly and landed on a branch above the two.

"Guess the reports were spot on," Zeno said and looked at Pitou. She showed no reaction to his words.

"What do you want? I have an appointment with the king." Acnologia said and increased the pressure of his aura by a slight amount.

"And I don't intend to stop you. I just came to ask if you're a friend or foe." Zeno looked at Acnologia and waited patiently for an answer.

"Does it matter? In this world, there are those that get killed and the ones that do the killing. Nothing matters beyond that. And the ant king and I are fated to play on of these roles. It's your choice if you're gonna stand in the way of that." Acnologia said and started walking.

"I got my answers, so good luck, fated one," Zeno said and disappeared in a burst of speed. He was running back towards the castle where Netero was on his way to confront the king.

"Pitou, you have your mission, go do it. I am now late for my meeting with the king." Acnologia disappeared without a trace. His speed was so fast that Pitou couldn't immediately register that he had disappeared.

"I hear and obey, master!" She said and jumped towards the castle with a mission to kill what is essentially her own brother. But she didn't care about who it was, she would kill everyone that stood in the way.

Inside the castle, the fearsome that was born to change the world had currently no such d.e.s.i.r.e. He was sitting together with a blind little girl that had been his toughest opponent so far. But they weren't fighting with their bodies. They were locked in a constant battle of the mind.

The king and this girl were playing Gungi, a game that the girl was a master at. And she and the king had been playing for a few days straight without many breaks to rest.

Acnologia with his speed had already managed to arrive in the castle, and locating the kind wasn't hard since the aura coming off him was similar to Acnologia himself. He was walking inside a corridor that led towards the king's chambers. And inside the chambers was the king and he wasn't bothered with Acnologia's presence at all.

"King of the ants. One of us is dying today." Acnologia said as his body appeared from the shadows of the corridor. He was smiling crazily as he stepped out of the darkness and into the light. But the only one that reacted was the girl. The king just stared at the game board.

*Sigh* Acnologia immediately felt the arrogance and pride coming off the king. He was too good to even look at Acnologia, and this became a major blow to Acnologia's excitement about this match. He wanted his opponent to just as excited as he was.

"Guess some force is needed." Acnologias shot a tiny flame bullet towards the girl. But a green and purple tail intercepted it before it killed the girl. The part of the tail that took the hit got erased from existence.

"You would be wise not to do that again." the king said and finally turned his gaze towards Acnologia. And his blood started to boil now that he got the king's attention. This was what the prime dragon wanted. The fight of the century.

"I'll kill her if you keep refusing to fight me. You know you can't stop me if I go after her." Acnologia said with a smile. The aura of these two monsters didn't go unnoticed by the team of hunters that had arrived here.

Outside the castle stood a cl.u.s.ter of hunters. They all had a variety of expressions on their faces. But the two with the most eagerness was Gon and Killua. The two boys that Acnologia had met a few days before.

"He is here! Everyone, don't let down your guard. One second of carelessness will get you killed." Kite who was the leading coordinator of the hunter squad said to everyone.

"Got it!" Gon answered with excitement. And Kite smiled at the boy's innocent reaction. But he and every experienced hunter in this squad swallowed nervously as they felt the two monster auras.

"Just let the chairman take care of those two. He is the biggest monster in the world by far." Knuckles said and smiled confidently. Kite just nodded and said nothing.

Back with Acnologia and the king. Things were at a standstill. Acnologia was waiting for the king to make his move. And the king sat there and stared at the prime dragon that was still four meters tall. A height that was very unusual in this world.

"I will give you three seconds to leave." He said to Acnologia. And just as he said it, another flame assaulted the girl. And yet again that tail appeared with aura around it because the flame was stronger than before.

"What's your name, king?" Acnologia said. And the king slowly stood up. And his aura was flaring, displaying his rage that was rising.

"Meruem. Tell me yours, human that have chosen death." Meruem said with no emotions.

"Acnologia. The man to either kill you or be killed by you." He said and smiled.

Meruem moved his tail that had healed completely towards Acnologia. The speed was like lightning, but a hand took a grip of the tail before it pierced Acnologia. "You can do better than that!" Acnologia said while holding onto the king's tail. And Meruem moved his tail and slammed Acnologia down on the floor. But instead of being slammed on the ground, Acnologia rotated in the air while still holding onto the tail and landed with both feet on the floor.

"My turn!" Acnologia tightened his grip and used Meruem's own tail to slam him into the floor multiple times. And as a finishing touch, he pulled Meruem in and delivered a punch to his face that sent him crashing through multiple walls. And Meruem finally came to a stop outside the castle and he wiped a tiny amount of blood from his lips.

Acnologia followed after quickly and also appeared outside the castle. And on the castle roof stood two men, and they were Netero and Zeno. They were looking at the fighting between the two aura monsters that were Acnologia and Meruem.

"I am going home, I am clearly not needed anymore. And I don't feel like dying today." Zeno said and started walking without waiting for Netero to say anything. He just stood there without moving and looked like the two down on the ground had started trading punches.

"THIS IS FANTASTIC!" Acnologia screamed as he and Meruem became blurs to the eyes. They were jumping at each other and trading hundred, maybe thousands of punches every second. It wasn't possible to describe the sheer speed they were capable of moving in.

"Truly monsters," Netero said as he followed the movements of the two. Acnologia with his flames, and Meruem with his powerful and dense amount of aura. Every time they clashed explosions and sparks would erupt from their location. The fire was spreading everywhere and it looked like thousands of fireworks were going off down there.

"You are special!" Meruem said as he landed a punch on the prime dragon and sent him flying. Both of them were hurt and Meruem was for the first time since his birth feeling what a defeat might be like. He had landed hundreds of hits on Acnologia, but only shallow wounds could be seen.

"Focus, little ant!" Acnologia appeared behind him and ripped off his tail. He threw it to the side and punched Meruem in the back that causes the ground in front of Meruem to explode. Acnologia's punch had so much magic infused in that it travelled through the king and even caused the wall of the castle to break down.

"I am not some puny human you can analyze while in battle with them. I am the PRIME DRAGON! Lose focus and you die by my hand!" Acnologia moved in for another punch but Meruem disappeared. He appeared behind Acnologia and pierced his leg with his new tail that had already grown out.

"Indeed. I underestimated you, Acnologia. I shall give you the fight you have been craving." Meruem Acnologia started moving at those blinding speeds again, and now even Netero missed a punch or two. They were truly reaching incredible levels of speed.

Inside the borders of the castle, Pitou was moving around sneakily while having completely hidden her aura. She was a cat in more ways than one, and she was a master aura user so she didn't struggle with hiding her aura even from the other royal guards.

She came to a stop when she saw a ball of smoke that radiated of aura. And if she focuses closely she could also feel Pouf's aura inside, her target for assassination. So without completely understanding the situation she sat down and waited.

She only needed to wait for a couple of minutes before her extraordinary senses picked up small microscopic bugs escaping through the smoke to the outside. And as soon as all the bugs were outside they assimilated back into Pouf again. 'Target located' Pitou sharpened her senses and her very being focused all its attention on the royal guard that had escaped that smoke prison.

Pitou readied herself and she gathered all her strength inside her legs. And now she only needed to wait for the right moment. And that came quickly as the hunter that trapped Pouf cancelled his ability and smiled when he saw Pouf standing outside his cage.

"How sneaky, but I need you to stay here." He said to Pouf with a smile on his face.

"you underestimated me greatly, and I will make sure you live so I can make you regret it." Pouf said and his aura flared. He was activating an ability. And it was also now that Pitou without making a single sound or flaring any of her aura disappeared from her spot. She arrived at Pouf's location in close to a microsecond and with her claws she took his head.

The hunter stood up in shock and looked at the royal guard that fell down on the ground without a head. And his eyes landed on the woman that now stood there with Pitou's head in her hand. "Who are you?" He asked while gripping his weapon and taking a stance to this new threat.

"No one," Pitou said and dropped the head and walked away. She didn't bother showing him her aura or giving her name, she simply walked away with his gaze following her.

"Is that the ant that took Kite's arm? But why would it do this?" He was beyond confused, but he never let him guard down. And it wasn't until she was completely gone that he lowered his giant pipe.

It was then he felt the ground shake and another massive explosion occurred outside the castle walls. "Whoever is fighting the king got to be one hell of a monster themselves." He laughed a little to himself at how small he felt in comparison to those auras. They were the very definition of monsters, and he had never seen anything like it in his life.

Over at Acnologia and Meruem, the battle was growing more intense every second. Acnologia roared as he and Meruem traded blow after blow, and the ground shook with his roar. "DIEEE!" He yelled as he stopped Meruem's punch with his and gripped ahold of his arm. "THIS IS YOUR END!" Acnologia pulled him in and gathered all the magic he had left around his right fist. "DIE!" He pulled Meruem who struggled towards himself and delivered his final punch.

*BOOOOM* It was so powerful that Meruem's body got erased from existence immediately and a massive flame beam that towered over the castle itself was summoned by his punch. The beam travelled at lightning speed and everything it passed disappeared completely. The castle was now missing two-thirds of itself.

"I win!" Acnologia said with a proud smile. And beside him landed Netero, with a genuine smile on his face. He looked up at the face of this four-meter giant man. "Well done, indeed," Netero said and looked at the stop where Meteru was previously standing. Now everything in the vicinity had been erased from existence.

"Now the time has come when I ask what the hell you are. I chose not to interfere because I believed this fight would be valuable in just analysing what you are. But... I have no idea still." Netero said while standing there with his hands behind his back.

"hm, I can tell you on one condition," Acnologia said with a devious smile.

"And that is?"

"Join me!" Acnologia said and offered his hand to Netero.

"You mind letting me in on what that entails? What would I be joining?" Netero showed no reaction to the question.

"My boss is gathering a group of people and she has taken an interest in you. And the members in the group are all like me, and some are much stronger then I am." Acnologia said with a slightly annoying tone.

"And what is the goal of this group of yours? Though I wonder why I have never heard of it if they all have strength like yours."

"The existence of the group is known only to us. I wouldn't even be here in this dark and depressing place if it wasn't for you. I came here to recruit you, and this Merume was just a side objective." Acnologia said.

"And our goal is to be known only to the members of the group. So I won't ask again, do you accept, or do you decline?" Acnologia said and offered his hand towards Netero ones again. And his aura was rising as he waited for his answer.

"hahaha, you're an interesting fellow, so let me ask you one question," Netero said and his aura also started to rise. The two were looking at each other and this became the deciding moment for Netero's future.
