Child Of God

Chapter 86 - Arc Of Acnologia [6]

Somewhere in the underworld, a gigantic portal opened up and out from it flew a black dragon four times the size of Great Red. His body towered over everything in sight and the moment he appeared there were several individuals in the Underworld that almost simultaneously fainted where they stood. Whenever Acnologia used his human form he completely suppressed his aura for reasons only he knew. But that was not the case when he returned to his dragon form, whenever he did that, he never bothered hiding the majority of his aura, so his pressure right now increased the overall gravity in a large radius around him. And his aura could be perfectly picked up from anyone present in the Underworld.

Inside the mansion of Sirzechs Lucifer, Lucifer himself sat in his office with a worried expression. His wife stood off to the side and watched him with an equally worried expression. As many in the Underworld was currently doing, these two were talking about the mind-boggling presence that had appeared in the Underworld.

"Grayfia, contact the other satans, we need to go and meet this unknown presence," Lucifer said to his wife. He was incredibly anxious about this. Lucifer was more of a talker than a fighter, not that he wasn't strong, he was one of the strongest, if not the strongest devil alive, but he would rather solve wars by talking instead of starting bloodbaths.

"Right away, Lord Lucifer" She gave a slight bow but didn't immediately walk out of the room, "What about your lady Rias?" She asked in concern. The Gremory family had already been informed about the death of Issei, but what really worried them was the missing weapon Issei had possessed.

"There's no way she didn't feel that aura, but in her current state, she is a liability to us if we are forced to fight this being." Lucifer was the older brother of Rias, and he would do anything to protect her. That included giving his own life if necessary.

And almost on queue, a knock came from the other side of the office door. "Come in!" Lucifer said, and in walked Lucifer's baby sister, Rias Gremory. "Good afternoon, Brother. I think you know why I'm here so I'm just gonna get right to it. I'm coming, whether you want to or not! I recognize the aura, it's the man responsible for Issei's death!" Rias had a tired yet deadly look in her eyes. She had bags under her eyes that showed that she hadn't slept since Issei died.

"Absolutely not! You need to get some rest, Rias. In your current state, you will only be a liability to everyone there." Lucifer stood his ground on this issue, not even bothering to smile, which was very unusual since he usually has a hard time not to smile whenever he saw Rias.

"Brother! I am going! I don't intend to fight him or anything, I'm not suicidal. For me to be able to move past this I need to find out for myself why Issei had to die." Rias glared at her brother without blinking. And surprisingly enough it worked, Lucifer's expression softened up and he sighed before looking up at his wife with eyes pleading for support.

"If this... Acnologia?" Grayfia looked at Rias to make sure she got the name right, and Rias nodded to it so she continued, "If he is here to destroy the Underworld there is nothing we can do to stop it. So we all would likely lose our lives, so why not just let her questions be answered. And if things get dangerous then we can send her to the human world and hope she will be safe there."

"Fine, Rias you can follow along, but you will not speak until I give my okay. Is that clear?" Lucifer looked sternly at his sister.

"Crystal clear, brother!" Rias said and a tiny smile found its way to her lips. She was finally gonna get some answers as to why this "Father Of Dragons" killed her boyfriend and ruined her life.

"Now let's move on to one thing that has been bothering me for a while, his title. The woman that dealt the finishing blow to Issei, Hanc.o.c.k, was it? She said Acnologia was the father of dragons, the first dragon to ever exist. And Ddraig reinforced this himself. Is this all true, Rias?" Lucifer read the report on his desk and then looked up at Rias.

"Yes! Everything in that report is as the events happened. And everything that was said is also in the report, and it's all as I heard it with my entire peerage as witnesses." Rias said confidently.

"Okay, good. But that makes me all the more worried as to why Acnologia took the Red Dragon Emperor. He clearly doesn't want nor need the actual weapon since he didn't even take it. Did he perhaps say what he was gonna do with the soul?" Lucifer asked his sister, hopeful for an answer, even though he didn't expect one since it wasn't in the report.

"I don't know, brother. My peerage was out of commission for most of the time during the fight and after it. And my mind was... Occupied so I don't know anything other than what's in that report." Rias answered with a slightly apologetic look.

"No worries, Rias, you did very well overall. In these situations, most devils would lose their entire Peerage, but you didn't and that's good, very good." Lucifer said, trying to cheer her up, but obviously it didn't work since Rias looked to be on the verge of crying.

"T-Thank you, brother!" She managed to squeeze out before a silent tear rolled down her face and hit the ground.

"Would you please excuse me!" Rias said and Lucifer nodded after a few seconds, "Thank you," She walked out of the room with haste. And this was the one time where Lucifer cursed his exceptional hearing because he could Rias walk away from the office while crying like a newborn baby. It physically hurt him to hear her crying like that, but he knew not how to fix this. He could behead an enemy with the smallest movement of his arm, but he had no idea how to comfort his baby sister that had just lost the love of her life.

"Husband, stop blaming yourself!" Grayfia said from the side, "I wasn't!" Lucifer looked up in confusion, but he was immediately hit with her stern glare. "You can fool anyone with that attitude and smile of yours. Anyone but me, your wife!" Grayfia hit him lightly on the head.

"And that's why I married you!" He laughed out loud and felt some of the negative feelings weighing him down lift off his shoulders.

Back with Acnologia and his entourage, things were getting interesting. They felt hundreds and thousands of auras lock onto them, but almost all of them showed no signs of moving, they chose to only observe from a distance.

"It feels weird to stand in this world again on my own feet. It's been so long." Ddraig said. He and Hanc.o.c.k stood on Acnologia's massive head, and if you looked from a distance they were barely visible since his head was about a hundred times larger than those two.

"You'll get over it!" Hanc.o.c.k said from the side. She was still angry about having been picked up and moved, even though she understood why he did it, it didn't make it any less embarrassing.

"I feel like we got off on the wrong foot, little one," Ddraig tried to get her to shake hands, but Hanc.o.c.k started ignoring him instead.

"Boy, can you feel that rival of yours anywhere around here?" Acnologia's mighty and deafening voice boomed out suddenly.

"Eh, yes, Father! He is not far actually. He is just north of here."

"Okay, hang on, you two," Acnologia took off in high speed, leaving the area far behind in a matter of seconds.
