after hope was born..he was took in by his grandparents ( his mom's parents)..

they lived in Kyoto..

even though they were not much rich they lived in a Japanese style house..

it was a average old Japanese mansion....

his grandfather was was a master swordsman..

and his grandmother was a loving housewife type of a person...

his grandmother died due to old age and sickness when hope was 5 years old...

when he was in elementary school, the other children used to bully him as he never showed any expression....he never cried, never laughed even if they beat him once he was not angry he took the beating until those bullies were exhausted...

that day when he returned home, his grandfather saw him with lots of injuries and asked who did this..

he said "my friends beat me coz I can't show emotions, they call me monster for my hair and eye colour"

grandfather- from now on call me Sensei, hope. coz from now on I will teach you martial arts and swordsmanship...

thus began the hardcore training of hope to become a strong person who can fight for himself and his loved ones...

when his grandfather trained him...he saw a prodigy in front of him..who s.u.c.k.e.d his knowledge dry and used it...just like a sponge...

at the age of 12 he was able to be on match with his grandfather...but could never defeat him(god knows why?)...

whenever he fought him he holded back until at the the age of 13 hope noticed that his grandfather is holding back...

hope- don't hold back jiisan...

jiisan- are you sure? if I use my full potential you would not be able to stand against me....

jiisan- that's what I wanted to hear...

from that day he never held back and fought with his full strength....

hope was able to somewhat match him after training 1 more year with him intense fully...

on his 15th birthday his grandfather gifted him a sword which was his but wanted to give him...

as he had decided something for him....

but couldn't tell him as he went for 2 days of sickness....

AT PRESENT...

there was a boy sleeping inside a dojo and a old man who was sitting in front him in seiza position....

the boy woke... touching his head...

probably it was paining...

jiisan- wake up kid we need to talk....

hope- I am awake....

jiisan- fight me and defeat me, get ready... fast!!

hope- hai..

hope- my grandfather.

after half an hour, two figures were standing against each other with wooden swords in thier hands....

hope-ready?

jiisan- even before from when you were born...

the both stood against each other in iaido stance...

jiisan- copycat!....start!!

the both sidestepped in round waiting for the other to move first...

jiisan- ok I'll take the first move...haaaa!!

old man launched the attack while trying to aim his waist with a 3 hit combo but hope saw it coming..

he dodged the first two and blocked the third with his sword...

hope pushed him back while trying to attack him but couldn't he kept dodging and was in total defensive stance...

this kept going for 10 mins after that..

hope created space relaxed his shoulders and walked to the old man, the old man attacked but he dodged him as if it was paper attack..

he kept dodging...he had memorized every move this old man was capable of and dodged it until he saw a opening...he took that opening and went for it...

but the attacker was the one who received damage...

jiisan- openings are meant to bait...kid..

he then moved aside creating space and closed his eyes holding his sword with both hands ...

jiisan- oh... giving up?

the old man attacked him but the latter dodged him and the swords edge was against old man's neck...

hope- openings are meant to be bait...jiisan.

jiisan- good..u won..

[hope completed the quest resulting him to receive spatial storage].
