Cold Summer

The month of June has finally come. I have always loved the warmth summer brings me. It is the only season I looked forward to. So many firsts are made in this season: like the first time we met, the first time we talked. That is why I have grown to love the summer solstice.

However, today also marks our supposedly first anniversary.

"Xiàjì, it's time to go now."

June 21st. I will be leaving the country, to start anew, to forget about you. This is not the kind of relationship I envisioned before—I thought it will end in a happily ever after.

Leaving this country means leaving everything behind. I would like to start once again, without someone called 'you'.

Starting today,

"We go to move on,Xiàjì!"

"Alright!"
