Collin's Otherworld Adventure

Chapter 42 - Departure

As I power down, Remy approaches me and asks.

"is it over now and what happened to your eyes they are back to normal?"

I reply.

"yeah it's over now and oh are my eyes not silver anymore?"

she hugs me and says.

"I'm so glad it's over now and yeah they aren't silver anymore."

she stops hugging me and asks with concern.

"so I don't know if you noticed but, I can't sense you as a monster, or as werewolf anymore, what did you do?"

I reply.

"oh that, I need you gather everyone around, I've discovered something that everyone needs to hear."

Remy the goes around and gets those that remain to gather in front of me, and as the last one arrives, I then say.

"there is more to our power as werewolves, and it seems that to reach it, you need to open your mind, so that you can connect to the wolf that resides in your mind and that your body needs to be trained physically."

they all look at me in confusion and Remy replies to me.

"it's fine Collin we are okay with not knowing how to do it."

I then think to myself.

"I guess they don't believe me, I don't blame them, because everything I just said sounded crazy."

Klein approaches me and as he puts his hand on my shoulder he says.

"Collin, even if what you say is true, whatever physical training you do is too much for all of us, now come on lets go home."

it's been a week since I've defeated Atlas, and while everyone that survived the encounter against him were happy, my mind was somewhere else, thinking about the mystery surrounding this Abigail person, as I sit alone wondering about things, Remy sits next to me and asks concerned.

"what are you thinking about?"

I reply.

"it's not really over, Atlas still has an ally named Abigail out there, so that would make her our enemy, and because of this I got to find her if I really want to end this."

she sighs and replies.

"things are already over for us, and since Atlas almost killed all of us, we don't want to fight anymore, even if he still has an ally out there."

I take a couple of deep breaths and I say with a serious tone.

"I guess I'll so this alone then."

she hugs me and says with sadness in her voice.

"I'm sorry, but I don't want everyone I consider a family being killed for any reason."

I reply.

"it's alright, I'm doing this on my own will, so I don't want to involve you guys any further from now on."

she then asks.

"what do you plan on doing?"

I reply.

"well since you told me that you can't sense me as a monster anymore, I'm guessing it's safe for me to go back to a human kingdom."

she asks.

"what do plan on doing over there?"

I reply.

"I need to let the magic knights know about Atlas's defeat, and that he still has an ally out there, and hopefully they can start investigating Abigail's where abouts."

Remy then asks.

"why the magic knights?"

I reply.

"I remember Atlas mentioning something about how he used to be a magic knight, and how they couldn't stop him, so I'm hoping that if I can give them useful information, they can somehow help me obtain information or search for Abigail."

she takes a couple of deep breaths and asks.

"so I'm guessing this means goodbye huh?"

I reply.

"yeah this is it."

she gives me a warm smile and says.

"I want you to remember, that you always have a home with us, if you decide to come back, we can finally go searching for mana concealment spells."

I smile and reply.

"I'll keep that in mind."

after saying my goodbye to Remy I head over to the rest, they all say goodbye except Klein and Gresnor who surprisingly, want to tag along with me, Gresnor says.

"you are my friend, wherever you go I go, and I want to help you as much as I can."

I reply with gratitude.

"you are always welcome to come along with me my friend."

and Klein says to me.

"huh you think I'll let you have all the fun for yourself, if we get to kill an Ally of that bastard Atlas, you can count me in."

I reply.

"are you sure, Remy said you guys are done with all the fighting and everything?"

he replies with a serious tone.

"they may be done with the fighting but I am not, and besides I made a promise to Sid that I would keep an eye on you and I can't do that if I stay here."

I reply to him.

"alright my friend, if you want to tag along, I won't stop you."

and then after that, all three of us go around saying our final goodbye to everyone in the encampement and we finally we take our leave, I then think to myself.

"I guess the best place to start would be the kingdom of Rozlania, where the capital city Grezia resides at, and I could also use this chance to see my parents and Rosie again before I go search for Abigail."

as we walk along the dirt path Klein asks.

"so where are we headed off to?"

I reply.

"to Rozlania, I need to speak to the higher ups in the magic academy."

he responds completely baffled.

"why are we going there, they are not going to allow me in there, and I don't expect Gresnor getting a warm welcome there either."

I reply.

"I don't have much choice, the only lead I have about Abigail, is that Atlas used to be a magic knight."

Gresnor replies.

"It's alright, I can endure whatever prejudice that gets thrown my way when we go inside."

Klein replies.

"and what will I do, they are not going to let me in,

if anything I'll be lucky if they don't try to kill me on the spot."

I let out a sigh of fustration as I say.

"calm down, I think I might have a solution for that, I just need you to trust me on this Klein."

he nods and replies.

"okay I'll trust you on this."

Gresnor chimes in.

"me too."

I then think to myself.

"hopefully my plan to get him in works, I guess I'll see once we get there."
