Conquering The World With One Piece

Chapter 32 - To the White-White Sea.

ZAPP…!

Millions of voltages of thunder exited my body and spread across the surface of the ocean. The salty water acted as a great conductor and allowed me to nimbly redirect the thunder to face the ice approaching us.

When the massive dose of lightning finally met the ice, miles away from our location, a massive shock spread throughout the ice. Although ice wasn't a good conductor of electricity, the sheer volume of electricity within my Thunder God form was enough to impact it severely.

Crack-Boom-Crack-

The ice kept cracking up as fractures and holes were punctured in the ice again and again. Soon the entire ice stopped moving towards the whirlpool and laid dormant for a good second.

In the next moment, Sizzz- the entire surface covered with ice broke into millions of pieces and started to melt and turn into steam. This pattern carried itself all the way to Aokiji who detected this a little too late to go after the culprit.

In the far distance, Aokiji rubbed his chin in a little confusion as his Ice Age didn't delivered the expected results. He could see that the sea water in front of him had turned into ice like planned; however, the gigantic, hundreds of meters tall whirlpool wasn't frozen like expected.

Crack-Boom-Crack-

Suddenly, even the ice in front of his shattered without any explanation. Aokiji squinted his eyes at the phenomena and frowned slightly. What exactly was going on with his ice?

Well, he didn't have the time to think about it anyway, since the surface below him had started to break apart as well. He pursed his lips in concentration and used all his powers to create a gigantic block of ice to help him stand his ground.

In the end, his fortified ice was able to withstand the impact and stay strong. Aokiji wanted to go ahead and explore what or who caused this, but then something happened right in front of him.

BOOOOM-

A massive explosion occurred in the distance, after which, the Knock Up Stream launched from the ground. The pressurized water steam shot up to the sky and Aokiji could only look at it with wide eyes. Did he just try to freeze the entirety of that just now?

Aokiji kept watching the stunning sight in front of him, while his metal bike from earlier had already melted in half at his side. He might have put in double the effort to find out who the culprit was if only he knew that his bike was its victim too. Alas, it was too late to catch those people now.

Flying up with the Knock Up Stream, a ship was hitching a ride as it rode along the massive pillar of water. The ride wasn't too smooth, since the heavy winds kept trying to knock the ship off the stream.

Presently, Robin and I were running in circles as we tried to prevent our ship from capsizing.

"Leo, if you're holding anything back, now would be a good time to use it. I am sure that our bodies would shatter upon impact from falling from this height."

I squeezed my eyes shut and fell into deep contemplation. After remembering Nami's every word and advice, I inhaled and yelled, "Raise the sails quickly! This is still an ocean current we're riding along! Also, turn the rudder port-side, so we can catch the wind from the starboard!"

A bead of sweat dropped down on Robin's forehead as she followed my orders exactly. She worked tirelessly with her multiple hands taking full control of the entire ship.

Soon from some luck of god, it worked out and our ship started to fly instead.

"Woahh!!!"

I ran up and sat at the ship's mast with my eyes flashing in excitement. This was probably the best sight that I'd even seen upon my transmigration into this world. Being a pirate like Luffy wouldn't have been too bad at all, huh?

In due time, we could successfully gaze at the White Sea. The entire scenery around us was like a white canvas littered with snow-white clouds. The sight was unbelievable for sure.

While I was reveling in the scenery, Robin in the background became severely dizzy from the tireless work and the low atmospheric pressure. I paid some attention to her and decided to let her get some rest for now

With dark circles under her eyes, Robin murmured, "Huff… Huff... That sure was an intense workout."

I nodded and carried Robin to her quarters; afterwards, I placed her on her bed and wrapped a blanket around her. Seeing that she was about to fall asleep, I took one last look at her and muttered a few words quietly.

"Robin, you took care of the entire ship and traversed into unknown dangers without any fear or complaints eh. You sure are a stunning and beautiful girl..."

I remained there for a few more seconds before going back to the deck to take the helm. Robin's eyes opened after I left, and she gazed thoughtfully at the ceiling.

Later, I was leading my ship through the middle parts of the millennium c.u.mulonimbus clouds at the White Sea. The Log Pose was still pointing up, indicating that the White-White sea containing Sky Island was still above us. We were still 3000 m below our destination yet.

I recalled there being a gateway called 'Heaven's Gate' somewhere around here that led to the island of Skypiea above. Unfortunately, the gate didn't seem anywhere in sight as our ship kept drifting for an entire day without any solid destination visible to me. The only thing left for me to do was now follow the Log Pose diligently.

In due time, as the Log Pose pointed completely straight up again, a river of clouds came into view. The river circled around like a roller coaster and led to the skies above. I figured that it was the Milky Road which led to the Sky Island at the sea above.

Thuk-Thuk- At that instant, Robin walked up to the deck with a much healthier glow than before. It looked like she had adjusted to the low oxygen in Sky Island at last.

Robin feasted her eyes on the river as her hair fluttered in the wind. She walked up to me and said, "What an interesting river… but how does one travel up on it?"

I shook my head and answered, "No idea. It does looks like we'll fall if we try anything here."

"Then, aren't we stuck here until we die of starvation?"

"Hmmm… Well, I remember that something like a sea-monster or something wil-"

Thunk-

Just in time to prove my words, a Speedy Shrimp got hold of our ship at the edge of the Milky Road. Without much delay, it started dragging us to the top of Milky Road at high speeds.

At times like this, I couldn't help but want that Voice of All Things. Why was that shrimp so adamantly transporting immigrant sh.i.p.s all the way to the top? At least, his help was convenient and enjoyable for us, I guess.

Shortly, we arrived at the Sky Island on the top finally. We could see an island made of Island Clouds containing a wharf, shops, houses, and plant life here and there. We docked our ship on a cloudy beach and got off the ship.

Robin walked around the beach and immediately removed her sandal-high heels. She felt the softness of the cloud surface on her feet and couldn't help but fall in love with it. Next, she took notice of a slight frown on my face and asked, "What's wrong?"

After staying in silence for a second, I sighed in resignation and replied, "It looks like we're on a slightly different Sky Island than I previously intended."

Robin c.o.c.ked her head in confusion, and she wanted to ask specifically what the problem was. Before she could ask, a noise from the distance interrupted her thought process.

Step-Step-Step-

Soon tens of soldier-looking people with their wings facing downwards and varying levels of goat-like facial features arrived next to us. They were all wearing blue uniforms with golden helmets and a silver spear in their hands.

"This is the island of Birka! State your business, blue-sea dwellers…!"
