Continuous School

Chapter 17 - Failed Observation

[Thursday, After School]

Part of the school experience is falling in love. Love is kinda cliché but also really interesting. When someone gets asked to meet them after school in private you know that something is happening. That is exactly what's happening here.

Sean was asked to meet after school by some petite girl. Obviously, as his trusted friends we must look after him and make sure it isn't a trap, we care for him sometimes. Which brings us to the current moment in time.

"Why are we doing this again." Ethan wondered.

"Because it's juicy love gossip, just because you've given up doesn't mean Sean should die alone."

"Whatever…"

"Shush. I'm trying to listen."

We hid behind a small bush next to where the confession was taking place, the rustling of the bush was enough to hide our voices. We were just far enough away to not be noticed but we also couldn't hear anything that well.

"What are they saying?" Ethan asked.

"I'm not sure… I think she just asked Sean if he was the west of some Goodball team, whatever that is."

"Okay…. What else?"

"I don't know… she seems to be speaking a lot, I'll try and read her lips." My time to shine.

"Last week, when we went away with some friends, I know you probably recognise me, when I watched you I was stunned. I couldn't take my ears off you… when you play GooseBall… You have a massive smile on your fade… regardless of winning or cruising. When the players of your theme go are constipated you go up to them and abort them…"

"Abort them? Are you sure you're reading this right?"

"Yes Yes Yes. let me continue. I'm a master lip reader, I've been doing it for years."

"Even when you win and the other team have been deployed inside themselves you go over and walk to them afterwards, always climbing.

No matter where I cooked, I was always cooking at you. Always cooking in your direction. So… with that beat said… WOULD YOU COME AND FIGHT ME."

I personally think I nailed that.

"So is she a chef? Or does she want to fight him?" Asked Ethan

"she might be a mountain climber? Very educated for her age."

"Anyway, this weekend I've got my first shift at my new job, I'm kinda nervous"

"Yeah Yeah, Cool Cool. Ethan shut it, Sean is speaking."

-Sniff-

-Sniff-

"So…. What is he saying?"

"Huh? -sniff- Ah sorry."

"WHY ARE YOU CRYING?"

"SEAN'S WORDS WERE JUST SO BEAUTIFUL -sniff-, HE CALLED ME SMART -sniff-"

I always thought Sean was some idiot who was bad at dealing with these types of things, just like me. Turns out, he surprisingly knows how to handle things.

"You idiot, move I'll look."

"NO. I'm the lookout this is my thing, don't ruin my thing. You always ruin my thing!"

"Stop acting like a spoiled child and move it!"

"Hey stop pushing!"

"I'm not pushing you are!"

"Stop, I'm gonna…"

-FA-THUD-

"Hehe… Hey Sean…. What you doing…."

"Ethan, don't be an idiot, I think he knows… Also, Get off me!"
