Chapter 94 - Holiday away part 1

[Friday, Afternoon]

"THE BEACH!" Kaylee and Ethan screamed as they ran into the cold abyss called the sea.

"IT'S SO COLD!" They screamed in glee.

"Shall we set up here?" Ruby asked Owen and Sean who were carrying the stuff.

"Sure, I just wanna get out of this heat," Owen said as he set up the beach umbrella and immediately sat under it without doing anything else. Whilst sitting down he looked around at the number of families at the beach and noticed a black ball sitting next to him.

Poke poke.

He poked at it and watched it squirm before Lily hatched from it.

"Didn't realise you were in there?" Owen said. "What's with the black jumper?"

"This is my don't-want-to-stand-out jumper. I wear it when I don't want to stand out."

"I guess it would be obvious if you wore your normal pink one. Haha." Sean said.

"Are you two just going to sit here?" Ruby asked.

"Yes." Owen and Lily replied instantly.

Several minutes after getting changed, Ruby joined Sean, Ethan and Kaylee in the water and splashed about with them. Owen and Lily sat in the shade, making themselves as small as possible. All they could do was watch the water, but Owen kept having one thought run through his mind.

'There are a lot of good looking girls around' he thought.

"Hey, Owen." Ethan came out from the water and pulled Owen to the side to talk to him. "Isn't the beach pretty great?"

"Pervert," Owen replied as if he wasn't thinking it himself.

"Now now my dear Owen," Ethan said. "I've been looking forward to this day. THE DAY I FINALLY GET TO SEE KAYLEE IN A SWIMMING COSTUME! I must say her black bikini is rather s.e.xy. However, I do respect Kaylee so I've been trying my best to look at her eyes as much as possible. As hard as it is to maintain eye contact there is something I can't help but notice about Kaylee. I must say, I never noticed too much before but who would have thought they would be a C."

"OKAY!" Owen interrupted. "I'm going to have to stop you there. I get that this is your beach episode full of fanservice but please keep it in your pants."

"Oh, come on dude. Aren't you interested in the others? Ruby looks good in her red bikini. I'd say she's is, however, a B. Poor little lily over there looks like an A to me, how disappointing."

"Why do I want to hit you?" Owen said. "I knew you were a pervert since the day we met, but I never knew you were cheating on Kaylee by looking at the other girls."

Ethan walked away from Owen and apologised profoundly.

"I'm sorry. Please do not tell Kaylee. This is not cheating. I only have eyes for her."

"Sean seems to be having fun," Owen said.

"Sure does," Ethan replied. "Look at his abs! What I would do for a body like his."

"Maybe if you worked out more, you'd be fine."

"I mean look at him. Look at the way the water splashes against his body. He looks like a model in this environment. The water dripping off his hair, the way pushes his way through the waves as he walks around. He has the bod of a god. Now that I see it... Your body isn't bad either, must be from all the solo activities you do."

"I don't know what to make of that." Owen looked at Ethan with an expression that could only be described as disgust.

"Ah!" Ethan realised what was happening and began to apologise again. "I'm sorry. Please do not tell Kaylee. This is not cheating. I only have eyes for her."

"You know, Ethan," Owen said. "I've always secret shipped you and Sean."

Whilst this was all going on, Lily was sitting next to them listening in. Although the heat was getting to her and she only managed to hear from when they started talking about Sean. It's fair to say, the imagery that Ethan put in her head gave her a bit of a nose bleed.

"Come on idiot. Can you even swim?" Ruby said as she pulled Owen into the sea.

"What are you doing?" Owen resisted. "At least let me put down my jumper first."

"Stupid hoodie. Who are you trying to impress by wearing that? Just because you think it makes you look cool when you wear an unzipped hoodie and swim shorts doesn't mean you look good. Ok?"

"Alright?" Owen said. "I didn't say anything but ok…"

After Ruby pushed Owen face-first into the giant pile of saltwater and splashed his face when he attempted to stand up. Ethan and Kaylee came over to join them. At this point, Sean decided to guard Lily who was still hiding from the sun and covering her bloody nose.

"How goes it?" Ethan said as he swam over, obviously looking at Owen.

"What's wrong, Ethan?" Owen said. "Are you doing ok?"

"Of course I am, Owen, my dear friend. Why would you suggest such a thing? Do you want to lose your glasses?"

"Oh, who knows. Maybe it's something to do with Ka-"

Before Owen could finish his sentence Ethan submerged him and held him under until he was forced to stop by a lifeguard who gave them both a warning.

"Please don't get us kicked out," Ruby said threatening to do the same thing.

"What are you doing?" Kaylee came over and asked.

"I am Blob." He said to himself happily.

"Is everything ok? Are you mentally well? Have you eaten today." Kaylee responded.

"I like the sea," Owen said. "The sea is relaxing when you are Blob. Blob doesn't move so Blob can save energy and hear the sounds of the ocean. Truly an amazing spectacle."

"I didn't know you liked the sea so much?" Ruby said joining them.

"The sea is great. Nothing bad can happen in the sea."

"What if you get eaten by a shark or if the ocean pulls you away and you die?"

"Truly nothing bad can happen in the sea," Owen repeated.

"Just leave him, guys," Ethan said. "Although it may seem like he has something wrong in his head, he's happy right now. Don't ruin his fun. He's trying to escape from reality or something."

"Blob." Owen kept whispering to himself as he let the waves gently push him about.

About 30 minutes later the four of them got out and proceeded to move back to where they were staying for the night. They rented out two rooms, one for boys and one for girls. Although Ethan attempted to make the rooms mixed he was shut down and given a large bruise on his head thanks to Owen and Ruby. They spent the rest of the day relaxing until they left for dinner. Afterwards, they all gathered in the boys' room, excited to play some definitely not rigged games.
