Crap, I Was Rifted

"Haa this place is something else," Ashley said. The Earth Realm fighters were pretty kool. We watched there fights. That Sonya is a pretty sweet fighter."

"Really? Come on, Cage was a better fighter." Torbin said.

"I enjoyed the one Liu Kang fighting," Ruma said. I would like to fight him some time."

"To bad, they mostly tied with Out World and it's fighters," Cassandra said. she moved over and laid on Azul's bed looking at some tablets. "Our faction has the most wins and best record. Despite taking the losses from the Shokan Tiger faction."

"I am glad we did though," Jaina added. "I felt from Mileena's memories you hated the loss of Kintaro and his people. Do you think it will end badly for them in there lands now?"

"No. I have seen to that already." Kasumi said as she came out of stealth. "There people have been evacuated to Azul's Nether World. It is completely isolated from the rest but enough land for there people. As they have become Allies, they fall under the Follower laws. So it was an easy fix."

"Some are still here to participate in the fighting. They are recovering in there room and dealing with the loss of some of there fighters from before we arrived." Aurora said demurely. "If we would have arrived earlier I wonder what could have changed?"

"Better not to think about it. Since everyone is still good to go. Please enjoy yourselves. Out World maybe a little dangerous.." Azul saw there faces and corrected himself. "Ok a lot dangerous. But does not mean you cannot have fun. I know a few of you still have some quests to do. SO go ahead and do them. Those are your points by the way."

"Wait are points are our own to spend really?" Ashley asked. "How many do you have?"

"Yes. Just like my points are my own. System Points: 4,940,440 Companion Points: 1,371,732. Really low. Well these are the ones I will play with for my amus.e.m.e.nt. I broke my points into percentages. I receive 30% from everything I do. All the others are now split into various things." Azul said smiling. At that time Onyx pulled off of him.

"Ha..ha.. haa.. that was to fun. It was to addicting. I want more." Onyx was out of breath and slightly flushed. "But I cant do that tomorrow as it has a big cooldown."

"You were on him the entire time?" Riku asked.

"Yes." Onyx turned and answered plainly as she usually did. "I was training my power the entire time. It restricted him a little, but Azul did not mind. In fact, he enjoyed it almost as much as I did."

"Right..." Aurora looked at her. "Tell me about it later. You need to rest." She had her hand on her sister's throat and head. "To long in your elemental state will cause you to lose consistency."

"I know. Master told me. I have this to monitor me." Onyx pointed to her neck were she had a necklace with a digital marker on it. Currently, it showed light yellow. "Anytime I reach yellow I have to return to normal."

"That is good." Aurora placed her head to her sister's as they talked mentally. It last a few minutes as she broke the link turning to Azul. "I will stay and watch over my sister. Exploring can happen another time." Seeing Azul agree, she turned to Amenythest, Sapphire and Ruby. "Finished these quests anyway you see fit." See touched a screen and passed them to her sisters. There eyes went wide before they smiled happily with a nod.

System: Choose another faction to assit. Shao Khan or Elder Gods. All other factions no longer qualify.

"What in the world happened?" Azul asked out loud in wonder. Cassandra just looked at him. She gave him a wink and blew a kiss at him. "Thanks. You are trained up enough to defend yourself yes?"

"Of course. Why worried?" Cassandra asked c.o.c.king her head.

"Yes. I have not seen you fight. I do not want to leave you unprotected." Azul walked over and kneeled in front of her. He searched her eyes and saw the confidence she held. "I see you are definitely a strong one. My apologies." He said with a smile.

"You bet I am. Have to be if I want to get research material. By the way... can I have some of your blood?" Cassandra asked hopefully.

"Just a little. Be careful with it." Azul cut a fingertip and dripped it in front of her. "What the?"

"Mmm tasty." Cassandra latched onto his finger and s.u.c.k.e.d the blood up. Her eyes glowing red with devil power. "Thank you, my Overlord."

"Yeah.. hah.. that was something." Azul felt his devil respond in approval.

"Boom!" Tifa barged into the room letting the door hit against the wall. The good news she didnt wake the others.

"You have to come with me now!" She said before turning to leave. Azul followed along seeing a few palace guards dead with a few Edenians as well. It was turning very weird.

"What is going on Tifa?" AzuI asked quietly when he made it to her. Instinctively his training as Lin Kuei kicked in. As they moved neither barely made a sound.

"Shao Khan forces have come under an ambush. The Edenians invaded surprisingly. They used some bullshit about you firing the shot off during Riku's battle as cheating. So her match was disqualified. With that loss, it was enough for them to receive enough points to call for additional challenges. They challenged Shao Khan's forces.

"But Shao Khan should be able to stop them easily."

Tifa stopped and moved her back against the wall. AzuI followed suit. A few members of Edenian annihilation squad ran past. Azul observed them quickly getting the levels. Each was in green and only level 10. A silver star behind the names. "Ok we can just clean these idiots up. They have gthe numbers from what I can tell."

"Woom," out of Azul, Lettie came out of his Shadow.

"Brother go and search for Mileena. You know you want to check the room for her. I can take care these and besides..." Ashley and Torbin came over with assault rifles out. A few Shokan with her. "we will go and take of these idiots. Especially considering we have a few things to tie up on our end."

"Very well." Azul looked at them and cast his buffs on all of them. "Go and make them pay for this treachery." They shot off leaving him and Tifa standing there.

"Where are we headed to now?" Tifa asked. She was not going to leave him alone in case it goes badly. She rather he does not rip Out World apart.

"I do not know really. I am getting pulled this way. Last time this happened I found a good thing. It was Mileena. There is something stronger there as well. I can feel Mileena's presence in a way. At least I think it is her." Feeling Tifa's agitation at his response, AzuI was getting ready to say something but stopped himself. He just shot off toward his destination. They made it toward a room with a bunch of cages. It was the ones Azul saw before.

"Over here!" Tifa exclaimed. "I found a survivor."

Walking over he saw Mileena. But it was his eyes playing tricks on him. He heard laughing coming from somewhere. Slannesh absorbed whatever it was killing it instantly. The woman was dressed in the same clothing as Jade and Kitana. But red. Azul hadn't the foggiest idea of what was going on.

Observe: Skarlet Lvl 1

Status: Dying, afraid, tired, disoriented, detorirating

Alita: The world as I can see is already moving along in trying to correct itself with a new history. Glad you and .. That is not Mileena are you ok?

"No I am not." Azul ran his hands over Skarlet slow regen to keep her stable as he slowly used mental cleasning to get her focused. "I can fill a piece of Mileena inside her. What is going on?"

Alita: You will have to get her out of her first. Glad we didnt have to use the escape protocols.

'What escape protocols?' AzuI said to her. Moving to sit Skarlet up, he felt the fear she felt wash out furthur.

"Please.. do.. not.. want .. to die. I.. am no... reject.." Skarlet was trying to stay togethor. A weird magic inside her at work. It responded to Azul as if he was it's master and true owner.

"You are no Mileena. But defintely like her in a way." Azul felt pity for her.

"Mileena.. the.. Tarkata.. spy.. she.. was .. taken.." Skarlet mumbled.

"Oh hell no." Azul grabbed a low-level pull to help sustain her. Shoving it inside he activated his spells. "Regenerate, Full Heal, Mental Cleasning." Seeing it have some effect he placed a had at the center of her back. "Auto-Life!" Casting that spell took a lot out of him.

His Overlord Power activated wrapping around to sustain her.

She struggled then relaxed with a wave of Azul's Overlord energy entered her again. "We are not here to hurt you."

System: Charisma Check 15 Pass

She smiled before relaxing completely. Tifa moved about the place. Checking bodies and the like. No one else made it from what she could tell.

Alita: They are safety measures to make sure you do not die If you are disconnected. Galtea made sure to upgrade them in case something like before happened. Finish up what you are doing it is time for you to depart back to the others.

"Ok. Tifa come on. It is time to go." AzulI stood up holding Mileena close to his c.h.e.s.t. His Pather power entered her with the guidance of his split mind. Slowly he received her history of what happened to her. Reaching out, all the bodies were collected into his inventory. Duplicated were offered to his Nether World allowing new races to be created.

"So are you.. keeping.. her?" Tifa asked as she pointed. She was pointing at the Skarlet's body that barely maintained its physical form. She kept turning into a liquid blood state. "My Pather power is confused by her. I... dont know what to think. There so many biotic strands coming from her." She felt uneasy about them. But just because they were so dangerous... does not mean Skarlet would be. Which to Azul, her doubt made perfect sense.

"I am helping her out. We can.." Azul started to say before a gate opened behind them. Raiden beckoned them inside. "We do not need your assistance."

"I was tasked with having you come with me." Raiden looked at the ground in conflict. Azul didnt need to take in his biotic strands to know what was going on. He caught sight of Shinnok's amulet. Information rising to the forefront of his mind about what goes on with that blasted thing. "I was told to show you what happens if you do not choose correctly after the tournament tomorrow."

"We should go with him," Tifa said. "Riku trusts him for some reason."

"Yeah well bullocks to her." Azul looked at Tifa like she lost her mind.

"Please trust me then" She stepped forward pulling Azul along. "It will be ok."

Stepping in, AzuI watched as they just floated in black space. He could see stars and the like floating out and around. His Pather power stretched out and pulled large portions of biotic strands in from the World itself. Tifa grabbed his arm doing the same.

"Bwoom," a rift opened with Galtea stepping out fully robed. Raiden bowed to her in respect.

"It is time for you to know what happens to fracture worlds. Look that way." Galtea gloved hand pointed to the galaxy before them. 'This is for Tifa's benefit more than your own. The administration sees something in her. Like they saw with you. Well still see with you. ' Galtea said neutrally through the link she shared with Azul.

Tifa stared outward. The view reminded her of the Life Stream. In the center, all the stars and light for that matter continued to head towards the center. The few realms and different temples that floated in the open broke down into little particles. Her Pather power went into overdrive. The biotic strands screamed in pain at the suffering.

"Ugggh.. this.. no!" Tifa screamed out. Azul seperated his other self from his body. He stepped behind and hugged Tifa. Slowly he helped her through everything she saw and felt. While the other maintained Scarlet.

"This would have been to much with out you. Thank you very much Azul. You are a good friend." Tifa relaxed as her power started to rise. "I am able to tolerate what I am seeing." In mere moments, the World collapsed. "That was scary beyond measure. But also oddly beautiful."

A few seconds later everything was replaced by a white light. Slowly Realm's left the light as well as new temple structures. Galtea closed the gate afterward.

"What happen just then?" Tifa asked unable to really comprehend it.

"That was the birth of its successor. I believe you would call it Mortal Kombat 12. Do not worry we will not enter there. It will take a while before it stabilizes and catches up with its timeline in a fixed position." Galtea racked her head side to side in thought. "Oh. About time we get a chance to go there it will have enter the middle stages. You are gonna miss a lot."

"Well just ... no that is ok. I rather not go anyway." Tifa said quite taken back. "The SYstem and it's time abilities are quite unusual."

"My Khan I would like to return one day," Skarlet said staring at Azul.

"She honestly looks like a puppy. Ok, maybe a Displacer Beast from D&D. But you get what I mean." Azul said to Tifa who looked at him amused.

"I want to show them I was no reject!" Skarlet looked ready to fight. Despite the fact she was still having trouble stabilizing."

"Very well. You will have to get a lot stronger by then." Seeing her start to snooze, Azul looked at Tifa. "Well back to Mortal Kombat."

Galtea then returned them to the room. Raiden had left some time ago without them noticing. Maybe an hour or so passed. Returning to his room, he saw everyone was fine. Setting Skarlet on the bed, he gave her an injection of basic antibiotics to help her along.

"My Overlord give her this." Cassandra passed a clear vial over to him. Holding it up, Azul's observe kicked in. "The serum devised fot the Quarian's should help her."

Observ: Azul + Cassandra AMgic Drop Mark IV.

Effects: Boost cellular stability and blood regulation.

Azul gave it to her and watched as she stabilized. Skarlet opened her eyes immediately. She looked at Azul happily before turning into liquid and entering his open mouth. As well as his tear ducts. Basically any open surfaced.

"Urrkk urrk!" Azul felt back alarmed.

"What is she doing!? Aurora asked heated. Her magic already set to strike. Onyx just looked on in interest.

System: Symbiotic organisms detected. Constitution, Strength increased by 1.

Azul's magic fluctuated a little bit before calming down. He felt a lot more powerful. But he was not in control of it. In a few moments Skarlet left out of him and stared down at him in reverance.

"There is power in your blood. Great power my Khan."

"Blood magic," Jaina said as she had entered the room. "I am surprised you didn't study it actually. But then again your Devil Magic is a tier higher than it."

"Is he ok?" Shun asked from the doorway.

"Hehehe is fine." Ruby said as she walked over. "See." She pointed at his crotch that has a tent. "I wonder if he wants to have a go?"

"No," Aurora said dangerously. "Especially since we do not know what happened." She stared at Skarlet ready to attack.

"Woosh," Kasumi appeared in front of her.

"Hold it there." She put her hands out in front to stop Aurora. "She is on our side. Check her quickly and you will see that she is part of our party and is in purple. A very dark purple at that. That is higher than most of our people."

"Fine." Aurora calmed down after checking. "She needs to.." She stopped talking as Skarlet reentered inside Azul. "Nevermind."

"Sister you are a bully," Emerald said in a teasing tone. "You scared her off!"

"Why you!"

"Ok everyone go to bed. We have a tournament to finish tomorrow." Kasumi said. Jaina rounded up the others to help get them situated. "Oh, Aurora it would be best if you each get ready for tomorrow. I do not like what I found out. I sent the files to everyone's Omni-Tool's. I suggest getting ready."

"Azul is just riding a natural high right now is all." Jaina closed the door behind her. Leaving the Thessia sisters to watch over Azul.

"I am going to go out for some air." Sapphire said after ready only a few lines of the info.

"Thunk," she closed the door very quickly behind her.

"Go after her Ruby!" Aurora said quickly. "I think she is getting herself in trouble."

"Alright." Ruby left in pursuit of her sister.
