Crap, I Was Rifted

-Alliance Sub office-

"Hello, I am Vice Admiral Vladmir. Artem Vladmir, last of my male line." The old grizzly Alliance Officer said. "Think you for all you have done for my family."

"Happy to help. I rarely do good things, so this really helped actually. Also, your daughter is turning into a good help." Azul returned the shake then stepped back. He pushed Shi'Ara and Chloe forward. "Chloe Vladmir huh, go figure."

"Haha yeah." Chloe chuckled nervously. "Hello father.. umm.. yes I.. This is hard."

"You can do this." Shi'Ara rubbed her back and encouraged her. "Just like we practice."

"Umm right." Time was slow as she tried to muster her courage.

"Pitter Patter girl," Azul said. He looked around and read the different wall certifications. Seeing Chloe still not respond he just ended it. "Ok, your daughter is cured. This Asari is her friend and lover. For the last few years, she was the only thing keeping your daughter going, besides you. How she was cured is not on the table. She can run jump kick and everything like a normal person. She cant use biotics still, but she has a longer life span. Damn near close to an Asari's lifespan. If she ends up on a lab table they will find nothing. But trouble as I gun them down and wipe them out."

"Commander!" Shi'Ara said.

"No, its ok. This was way to hard." Chloe grabbed Shi'ara's hand and kissed. "Dad I love her. And not just puppy love. It has been a long time coming telling you. Honestly, I thought I would say it on my death bed. But I dont have to now."

"This is a lot." Artem sat down in his chair. "But you are going to live, that is the most important. Shi'Ara is it, thank you. It warms my bones that you could love my baby girl despite the death date hanging over her head."

"My p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e."

"Umm, dad I will have kids. Just wait at least two years, well one if.. if things turn out how we want." Chloe said ecstatically. "I can finish my officer training, it may take a while. But I will finish it. I want to have the uniform."

"Thank you dear." Artem just smiled from ear to ear.

"Here take this." Azul stepped forward. "This will guarntee at least 5 years. As long as you eat right and dont get shot. I will go through the proper channels and request your daughter is added to my crew when the time is right. For now I have to go pick someone up."

"Hold on. If its Operative Lettie, she is in the lobby. I buzzed her as soon as you arrived." Artem pointed to the door that opened. He then look at his daughter then the shot Azul gave him. "I trust this is safe." Chloe nodded. "Then here we go." Artem stabbed the injection and waited for the pain. When it didnt happen, he relaxed.

"Give some time dad." Chloe said.

"Chish!" The door open and let ran at Azul.

"Woah!" Catching her held her out. "What is the rush?"

"Nothing just wanted to do that." Lettie smiled. Her skin tone was a little lighter but other than that, she looked the same as her usual self. "Reporting for duty Commander Husband."

"Husband?" Artem asked.

"A long story. Hopefully, I get the chance to tell you in the future." Azul walked out dragging Lettie. "It is better if we give the family some time alone. See you both back on the ship before we break any more regulations."

"Chish!" The door closed behind them.

"Ready to do some work?" Lettie questioned.

"Yup." Azul smiled. He started hitting away at his Omni-tool. "Guess they are not gonna make it in time. Oh well. There is a mission nearby I want to take care of. A chance to help find Slipp's brother."

"Lead and I will follow," Lettie smirked. "I like this armor a lot." Lettie was sporting the Dragon Armor skin. The one you get from the nice DLC. The silver was a lot darker. Almost grey when light hit it. The red accent were also darker. On the front, instead of the red dragon on it from Dragon Age logo, it was replaced by the Winged Dragon Of Ra from Yu-Gi-Oh.

"Hey wait right there." AzuI look back to see a woman in an Alliance uniform run up. It was Jane. With her happened to be John and Kaiden.

John gave a hard stare as he tried to figure out were he knew Azul from. It then clicked in place for the man as he grinned. "It really is you!" Wrapping his hands around Azul, they gave a bro hug before departing. Jane not so simple. She wrapped Azul in a bear hug. Despite them having chatted not to long ago. Azul intuitively hugged back. The knowledge poured in as well as her biotic strands increasing.

System: User Jane has formed a Trust Bond. Her ability can work on you from a greater distance.

"Jane.. ease up ok?" Releasing the hug Azul stepped back. Looking her over he couldnt get over she didnt change anything at all still. Light reddish-brown hair and stunning green eyes. Yup, it was Jane Shepard alright. "So gonna introduce me to your brother or..?"

"Pft as if." Jane scoffed. "You two were in the same hell hole orphanage on Earth. I already got all the info I can about him. Explain the woman there."

"Lettie, in charge of "special ops" for him. We have met before Jane. Oh give me your Omni-Tool info and I can show you from where."

"Him ok. Your voice doesn't ring a bell though." Jane access her Omni-tool. In a matter of seconds her eyes went wide as hell. "No way!? How is your sister Ciela?" The two started chatting away. Ignoring the other 3.

"I hear you were on the Citadel. So I made haste to get here. I missed you last time you were here. How have you been?" John kept eye contact. His biotics, happy that Azul was back in the Alliance. "You staying for good this time right?"

"Good... but busy," AzuI said neutrally stepping back and folding his arms. John was dangerous. "Eating my Wheaties and trying to live healthily. So far... well I am alive anyway." He shrugged and looked at Kaiden. "See you have b.u.t.t boy with you, shame no Wrex or Garrus."

"Hey!" Kaiden scowled at Azul. "You have a problem with me?"

"Yeah, I do. You need to lay of Jane or else we will have a problem. She has a lot going on and dont need you complicating things for her."

"Just keeping the Commander's sister safe." Kaiden smiled. He knew something that Azul didn't. "If you think I am to involved, just say that."

"You are to involved!" Azul, Lettie, and Jane said at the same time.

"Haha .. hahahaha" John started to laugh. It took a while for him to calm down.

The group talked for a bit. Lettie was introduced as an old friend from Academy days. It was her idea. Her Kaiden and Shepard started chatting as Azul and Jane stepped to the side. Jane used her ability to allow seamless communication. No interruptions unless it was a life emergency. Time slowed as a Spirit Gate more or less opened between the two. Azul still couldnt tell what her ability was.

"Jane, are you ok? It cant be the Alliance is doing you dirty? Or is Kaiden really causing trouble for you this time around again?" AzuI asked as lightly as he could. He didnt want her getting all defensive on him.

"No, everything is fine. Just spending time with my brother and his crew. Special mission. Hush-hush." Jane said moving around. She looked unhappy. "Just miss the old team. My first team. I miss your crazy a.s.s. Your lack of morals made everything funny. Vega has been pushing himself really hard. Hopefully, the new special team he is on will go well. I dont know what happened to Falcon. Have you hear anything about him?"

"I dont know. But... I will look into it. I may not have your contacts but I can reach out." AzuI said thinking about it for a second. "You know what I will get you that info right now!" Tapping into the power he had as ruler of this World, he searched for Falcon. In a few seconds, he was exhausted. His understanding was to low to use for long. "Haa go to Omega of all places. Check the Slums. Be careful Jane. Something is not right down there."

"Oh yeah? Thanks for the help. Swift is going there so I will team up with her. How can I pay you back?" Jane asked genuinely happy.

"Stay alive. No matter what. We all lost a lot not to far from this time period. Oh, I have been building my strength for Magic the Gathering. Since you two are already there hopefully we can meet up."

"That is good. Listen... You ever thought about coming with me. We can work togethor more effectively." She watched Azul shake his head no. "A pity."

"I can't sorry." Azul felt the hurt Jane felt but not much he would do about it. "We are friends Jane, that meeting didnt drive a wedge between us. I still have your back, just like you had mine."

"I still haven't forgotten the time you saved me during the attack. I will repay it someday. Since coming back in time I felt how dangerous it was even more so. You risked a lot and it wasnt even fully you. Just a partial soul piece." Jane moved closer and punched Azul in the shoulder. "I.. wont to go to a World with you. A soul piece since I cant have the actual you the way I want. I will ask your wives, is that a problem?"

"No, it is not." Azul came from off the railing he was leaning on. "As for wives.. I have only two. Quistis and Lettie. The others are.. finding themselves. Well, I have a group of Asari that have almost no boundaries so there is that."

"Pftt, your the one with the S.e.x Operator. My Operator is a Spy one. I barely have the patience for it." Jane shook her head wryly. "But.. Asari hah good luck with that. Oh wait nevermind, you will be fine. After everything you can deal with it. I know you can."

"Look at you miss nice lady. A lot different than the rude straightshooter I met in the meeting the first time." Azul smirked.

"Hah have to change it is the purpose of this right?" Jane laughed before becoming serious. "Promise me you are on my side the same as before. I have your back you have mine. I need someone in m corner. I cant have what happen before I met you happen."

"Jane.."

"Promise!"

"I promise. Users have to look out for each other. Oh, I have a User that I think can help you. He is younger I think but he should be able to help. I will make sure he gets to you." Azul sent a message to Lluvia to get Deal_With_It to the Normandy with Jane. "There, done and done. Give me your hand and I will send the impressions of what happened."

"Sure." Jane and Azul gripped hands and exchanged the information. As well as his feelings on the matter. "Damn you are still in there." Seeing Azul's face she grinned. "The rude killer you, is still there. I like that Azul. He was fresh and alive. A lot like myself. This one is a little more patient and caring. Not to bad."

"Hah yeah." Azul sighed a little. His omni-tool went off giving him some info. "Sorry have to go. Target is here in the wards." Jane dropped the spirit field. Time caught up with them. "Lettie we have to go!" The two were gone in a flat out run.

Jane turned to look at the men who came up behind her side. "You need to relax more bro. You to Alenko."

"Sorry about the threat," Alenko said rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.

"She has a nice a.s.s... well.. not better than mine." Lettie teased. She activated the Auxiliary fielf as we jumped over the side. Scarlet came out of Azul's mouth quickly and formed up. She grabbed him as they slid down. Mag boots hitting against metal

"You right, she does." Skarlet said squinting.

"Want me to set you up with her?" AzuI asked grinning at her. "You to hit it off from what I saw. How about you Skarlet?"

"Uhh, no. Not interested. I am mean I am. But.." Skarlet was a little tongue-tied. "Ugh, you suck my Khan."

Lettie punched his shoulder. "Don't be that brother. Just.. if you meet up with her again, take me along. Just to talk. She makes a good friend and she is a User on your side. That can help a lot."

"Heh, no problem." Azul smirked. Using his biotics they slowed to an almost halt before touching down. The Auxiliary field going down. "Let me contact Slipp right quick."

"Go for it. I will check the area." Lettie said. "Skarlet keep watch. Also no magic. Consider this your field test for military protocols."

"I understand." Skarlet nodded and drew her smg's.

"Slipp we have a bead on your brother. What do you want to do?"

Slipp: Are you serious? Why didnt you take me with you?

"You were busy thats why. Hurry up with your decision."

"Boom!" An explosion went off.

"Get back here!" Lettie yelled. She was in a mad sprint across the platform. They ran across a set of parked shuttles. Lettie slid across one as she had to dodge the Turian throwing a shuttle at her. "Oh I am gonna break something in you punk!"

"Tch got to go Slipp. You either want your brother caught by us, or you wait till next time." Azul and Scarlet ran after the other two.

"Catch him now!" Slipp yelled into the comms. Azul felt his ears ringing from the volume. "I do not want to miss this chance. I am on my way to the Citadel now!"

"Yu try to get help. The one called Jane should be nearby." Skarlet said. I can contact Chloe and co."

"No, dont ruin that for them. We will get in touch with Jane."

-Over with Jane.-

"How do you know him?" Alenko asked. "I mean you two look a little close."

"We served togethor at one time. I said that already. That is the op I did on Feros. Helping him. Why the sudden interest Alenko?" Jane asked back. Her eyes narrowing.

"He is on your brother's watch list. High-level asset. As well as a high-level threat and all." Alenko looked at Jane with the corner of his eye. "Just saying be careful." John was in the front a good bit away from them out of earshot. Walking up, Liara joined them. She stepped out of the shuttle and started talking with John.

"He is a friend. My brother is one to talk. His crowd is dangerous. Just because he is a Specter doesn't give him the right to dictate what I do." Jane stopped and stared at the man. "You know what.. after today stay away from me. I will use force if necessary. You have a hard time remembering I outrank you. Just because I am not a Specter, dont think I cant kick your a.s.s up down the Presidium." Finishing her rant, Jane got in the shuttle. When Alenko tried to get in she shoved him back with her biotics. "I am going to go help someone I can trust!"

"Vroom," The shuttle took off.

Operator: Oh, he agreed. That is good. Very well I will commence the search. Oh, there is only one User besides your self there. Ahh, I will have to get in contact with his Operator first. He has my colleague set to handle logistics and communication. I will send a message and wait for a response.

'Huff, thank you.' Jane huffed through the link and continued to drive. 'Magic the Gathering will be tough. The difficulty level ugh. Or maybe I just go to another Yu-gi-oh. I definitely, need to go to Duel Masters again. I had so much fun playing that on my Ps2.'

"Boop, boop," her omni-tool went off. Answering she booked a left turn and went down. The shuttle landed and Jane got off. Right as she landed she saw Lettie take aim and fire at a shuttle car.

"This is going to be nuts. Hey thats the Leader of the Black Talons!" Jane yelled. She joined Lettie going after the car.

Galtea: Companion Mission started. Security is scarce the deeper you go.

"Nice," Azul said. He cast Cycle Up and Tailwind on himself and Skarlet. They started catching up to the others thanks to the boost.
