Crystalline Universe: Team Fortress 2/ Overwatch

Karson slowly woke up from his sleep only to find himself separated from a deadly void below him by a window. In shock, he rose from his current position to find the terrifying truth around him; The entire world was turned 90° to the side. His room window was facing a high fall to nowhere.

The entire city was facing the side as if the earth's gravitational pull changed to the east.

[Karson] - "What in the queen's name is this? "

[Mergiann] - "Karson? Are you alright in there? "

[Karson] - "Mergiann! I'm fine! "

Mergiann suddenly kicked the chamber door open without much effort and made her way inside.

[Mergiann] - "We are under attack by Mazzatello. "

[Karson] - "God damn it! Can't we get a break from all this madness already? "

[Mergiann] - "We need to find a way to get the heck outta here. We can't even hope to rival Mazzatello's power. He is the strongest executioner known to serve in Sniper's army. "

[Karson] - "Mazzatello? What is he doing here? "

[Mergiann] - "Someone leaked our information! "

[Karson] - "How? And who? "

[Mergiann] - "That's why we need to vigilant around us... There is a traitor amongst us. "

Car and objects fell to the east while the west became the sky. People were hanging on to their lives on the edges of building all around the city while those unfortunate enough to not catch anything before the gravitational shift fell to their death. Due to the gravitational pull, some buildings soon started to collapse, dragging hundreds into their doom.

[Mazzatello] - "Team zero! You all better show up before more people die! I don't think you 4 want to be the reason why thousands of people meet their doom! "

Mazzatello was floating amid the chaos like a divine being of destruction. His eyes were filled with a l.u.s.t for revenge and the burning fire of hatred.

[Mazzatello] - "If I don't see your presence in the next 5 minutes, I will erase this city from the globe. It's time to decide! Are you 4 truly a squad of rebels fighting for a justified cause or just 4 merciless terrorists who didn't mind the lives of the people like your ally, Mike? "

Mazzatello opened his arm and allowed his power to flow through the city, aggravating the gravitational pull on the buildings.

Meanwhile, as all 4 of them prepared to go into hiding inside a manhole, the situation around the city worsened. Azur, who was the last to enter the tunnel stop at the glance at the destruction around her. Acting fast, Azur quickly caught a few civilians falling through an office building using her crystals.

[Azur] - "Guys... We cannot let him do this! We need to stop him! "

[Karson] - "Are bloody crazy? It would be suicidal to us to stand against him! "

[Azur] - "Suicidal? How many times have we stood against an enemy far stronger than us? Is this your way of doing things? Backing down, hiding, watching as others suffer for you instead? "

[Karson] - "Maybe it's the way we will actually survive this shithole of a world! From the first day, we were hunted by the executioners and tracked by assassins. The last thing I want is to lose any of you, I can't risk it! Don't you understand? "

[Azur] - "We are dreamers but what does it serve to dream if we can't be the knights of our dreams? Isn't our dream to fight for justice and peace? What will we ever achieve if we run? Would we have defeated the Valentine brothers if we ran that day? "

With a second hesitation, Darlynn pulled out her rapier and joined Azur's side.

[Darlynn] - "No matter the darkness that is clouding our skies, there will no sun if none shines a light through it. I will fight until I die because I'm a knight of the common dream. "

Mergiann smiled, stood up from beside Karson and joined the other 2 on the hole's edge.

[Mergiann] - "If he wants us, then let's go meet him. I just can't wait to stuff his mouth with explosives. "

After pulling in some survivors, Azur and the rest prepared to head out before Karson, out of desperation, joined them at the last second. Gripping onto Azur's gems, the team made their way onto a building near Mazzatello.

[Azur] - "Stop what you are doing, Asshole! "

Upon seeing the team, Mazzatello snapped his finger and suddenly, everything around the city stopped moving. Every structure, people or object froze midair despite the gravity still pulling them eastward.

[Mazzatello] - "I have no intention to end lives but if I have to, I will. I kept my promise, now upon your death, this city will be spared. "

[Azur] - "Not if you die first! "

[Mazzatello] - "You are a bold one, Azur. You had so much potential but not as much as your sister. But unlike with her, my power is a death sentence to you. "

Azur was shocked to hear that someone actually knew about her sister. She stepped forward and left only a small distance between her and Mazzatello, fearless of the consequences.

[Azur] - "You knew about my sister! What did you bastard do to her? "

[Mazzatello] - "You have no fear. Unlike your friend, Karson, you don't fear death. "

[Azur] - "Answer me! What have you monsters done to her? "

Azur's sapphires quickly formed an offensive formation around her.

[Mazzatello] - "Sigh... As a gesture of good faith toward your sister, I shall spare you in exchange for the location of Mike. "

[Azur] - "Don't bullshit me! As if I was gonna accept your shitty proposal! "

[Mazzatello] - "I hope he'll show up to rescue you all. This way, I'll be able to complete my revenge in one day. "

Mazzatello pulled a nail out of a piece of building floating beside him and spun it in his palm.

[Mazzatello] - "Also, about your sister, my answer is very simple. "

Mergiann quickly realized what was happening and yelled for Azur to back off but it was too late.

[Mazzatello] - "You'll never be able to see her ever again. "

Darlynn and Karson then charged at Mazzatello only to have bodies crushed against the floor. Mergiann, on the other hand, only had the time to pull out a grenade before being forced face-first into the concrete below her.

But it was at that moment Mazzatello realized what they are trying to do. During this time where he was distracted, Azur, who despite her injuries couldn't move, managed to activate her ultimate attack. In a split second, as Mazzatello saw the sapphire enter the golden ratio, he quickly used gravity to draw blood away from Azur's brain, causing her to lose control of the attack.

This action barely saved his life as the sapphire passed right beside his head, causing a slight spin that broken through his ability and tore off his ear and part of his face. Blood dripped from Mazzatello's face like a leaking fountain before he sealed off the wound with gravity.

Mazzatello felt pain and most importantly, a slight sensation of fear. Those emotions he thought he could never feel came to him so suddenly and so unexpectedly that he was under the effect of shock for a moment.

[Mazzatello] - "Such a dangerous ability... I'm sorry I underestimated you, Azur. "

Mazzatello used his ability to slowly bring down a metal pole from his surroundings and slowly drove it toward Azur's face. Now, killing Azur became his priority because the fear inside him grew with every second she stayed alive. It felt like Ellie coming back for revenge using the vessel of her sister.

[Mazzatello] - "At least your death will be quick and painless. "

Karson looked at the pole slowly moving toward Azur's helpless body. It reminded him of the fight against the Valentine brothers where Azur almost died for him by tanking the hit from Rudolf.

"I still didn't understand why. I treated her so poorly and yet, she didn't hesitate a second to sacrifice her life for me. " Thought Karson as he stared at Azur.

"Just a few days ago, I was given a second chance by Ellie, Azur's sister... but for what reason? I live for what purpose... I was supposed to be dead. Why did she give me second chance? "

Then suddenly, it hit him, he knew exactly what he had to do.

[Karson] - "Mazzatello! You bloody wanker! I'm the bastard who murdered Toro in cold blood! "

Mazzatello suddenly stopped his attack while Darlynn and Mergiann watched in shock.

[Karson] - "You want revenge, right? Come and get me, you pissy little prick! "

Mazzatello turned toward Karson and watched him with pure spite and hatred. At that point, Karson closed his eyes and accepted his fate while Mergiann cried out his name afar.

"It's about sacrifice. It's because I gave the most selfless answer to Ellie that she decided to give me a second chance. Thanks to this second chance, I was able to spend 2 more months of my life with my friends and now, it's my time to give someone else this second chance. I will keep this promise I made to Ellie. I had my shot and I'm truly grateful for it. " Said Karson in whispers.

With a single gesture of his hand, Mazzatello crushed every bone inside Karson's body, killing him instantly.

[Mergiann] - "KARSON! "

Darlynn sobbed quietly with her face to the ground while Mergiann desperately tried to crawl toward Karson's dead body. Meanwhile, Mike landed softly on the side of a building after just arriving.

Mazzatello raised his hand. He was ready to end the life of the rest of Karson's team before suddenly being stopped by a voice behind.

[Mike] - "Let them go, Mazzatello. Your opponent is me. "

Mazzatello turned around to fall face to face with Mike in front of him.

[Mazzatello] - "You showed up... finally. After all these necessary deaths... "

[Mike] - " ...Who were all caused by your actions. "

[Mazzatello] - "I will put an end to you today, you terrorist. "

[Mike] - "I am no terrorist. Those blinded by revenge are. "

[Mazzatello] - "Aren't you on revenge too? "

[Mike] - "No, I'm just cleansing this world of its filth and putting certain people in their places. "

Mazzatello suddenly froze Mike in place and launched a powerful punch toward his abdomen. Mike was able to fend off this attack but was launched several hundred metres back before crashing into a building.

Mazzatello chased after Mike but Mike was quick to react and dodged another of his attack.

[Mazzatello] - "You took everything from me! You will pay for it, Mike! "

[Mike] - "You'll realize the truth, Mazzatello, soon! "

Angered by Mike's ignorant attitude, Mazzatello delivered attack after attack fueled by pure blind rage. On the other hand, Mike avoided direct engagement with Mazzatello since he knew well that he is no match against his raw power.

As Mike lacked in strength, he surpasses Mazzatello in speed that was why he was able to dodge all of his opponent's attacks but that will soon change as Mazzatello used his ability to strengthen the gravitational pull around Mike, causing him to slow down. Soon enough, Mazzatello was able to land a punch on Mike and despite how Mike was able to block it, the power of it was too great for him to handle.

A loud explosion can be heard in the distance as Mazzatello smashed Mike into the ground. As the dust cleared, Mike laid on the ground, unable to move as Mazzatello descended upon him.

In a pure fit of rage, Mazzatello wrapped his hands around Mike's neck and started to choke him. But to his surprise, Mike didn't seem to be in pain, he seem to be smiling, which angered him even more. Mike's lifeforce was slowly being drained away by Mazzatello and he didn't bother to fight back for some reason but Mazzatello didn't care to think about it as he was still in a state of blind rage.

Meanwhile, Sniper watched the scene of Mazzatello's fight with Mike in his base with Divine Maiden by his side.
