Crystalline Universe: Team Fortress 2/ Overwatch

Sperenza typed the final words to a long list of commands to the army on her computer. Segreto approached her side and inspected the quality of the message.

[Segreto] - "Very impressive work. You even managed to refine my orders. "

[Sperenza] - "Thank you for the praise, mister Segreto. "

[Segreto] - "That's enough work for the day. I'm going to get dinner, are you coming? "

[Sperenza] - "Eh... sure, mister Segreto. "

The two of them waited inside the elevator. The light blinked through the floors while the ambient music cradled the mood.

[Segreto] - "Say, what is your occupation before you became my secretary? "

[Sperenza] - "I was mister Krafton's secretary. "

[Segreto] - "I see... mister Krafton said a lot of positive things about you. Nonetheless, I find it strange that Krafton approached me out of the blue to ask for a favour. "

[Sperenza] - "A favour... "

[Segreto] - "Krafton wanted a promotion. Since he is a demi-human, he was rejected from upholding a significant military post. As a very generous man, I put him in charge of a division in the 1st imperial guard army. "

[Sperenza] - "Oh... that is very generous of you. "

[Segreto] - "In exchange, I only took you from him. I was indeed in need of a secretary ever since my last was killed in an unfortunate accident. "

[Sperenza] - "I'm honoured to work for you, mister Segreto. "

The elevator doors opened inside the garage where a black custom-made Rolls-Royce waited for Segreto. The driver opened the door for Segreto and Sperenza before driving off to the exit.

[Segreto] - Now, Sperenza, as my secretary, I understand a few rules between us. "

[Sperenza] - "Yes, mister Segreto. "

[Segreto] - "First of all, there will be information that I will keep a secret from the rest of the world. There will also be some personal secrets that I will share with you. So I expect you to respect these set rules to the letters. "

[Sperenza] - "Understood, mister Segreto. "

[Segreto] - "Second of all, I know and see everything, so I expect you to not act suspiciously. One of my previous secretaries was removed due to his suspicious activities. I also had a wife who ended up cheating on me. Let me tell you, she didn't manage to hide for long before prosecution came knocking on her doors. "

[Sperenza] - "I understand, mister Segreto. " .

Kady didn't realize that the jig was up and Mike has her cornered. Mike knew everything from the very start, except that Mike wanted to play her around. He wanted to keep her prisoner for a while before killing her.

Segreto took Sperenza to the same place where Mike took Kadyn to many years ago after they escaped from the Australian work camps. Segreto walked inside and was greeted by a different face than his friend Degroot.

[Julien] - "Welcome, marshal Segreto. "

[Segreto] - "I remembered this place was run by mister Degroot. "

[Julien] - "My apologies, sir, mister Degroot retired. He put me in charge of the place. "

[Segreto]- "That's unfortunate... Alright, get me and my guest a table, please. "

[Julien] - "Right away, sir. "

A waiter took Segreto and Sperenza to their table and brought the menu and wine. But just before the waiter could pour the wine, Segreto halted the waiter by putting his hand on the wine glass.

[Segreto] - "I'm not feeling like drinking wine tonight. Please bring us 2 large cups of cappuccino. "

[Waiter] - "As you wish, sir. "

[Sperenza] - "Cappuccino? "

[Segreto] - "Yes, cappuccino. "

[Sperenza] - "I'm not sure that is a drink that goes with a meal... "

[Segreto] - "I insist! "

The stubborn expression on Segreto's face's forced Sperenza to cease any more objection. The dinner went smoothly in silence. The food served on the table tasted as nothing Sperenza has tasted before. The taste of ecstasy and strangely, nostalgia, filled her mouth with every bite she took of the meat cubes. Even more strange is the sensation of fullness in her heart with every sip she took from her cappuccino. For some unexplained reasons, this place, its setting and its delicate food filled more void inside her soul than all of Krafton's love for her.

Segreto, on the other hand, became more and more frustrated with Sperenza's behaviour. Instead of the feeling of fear or remorse Segreto expected from her upon visiting this symbolic location, Sperenza's mood shined with rays of happiness.

[Segreto] - "Sperenza, do you know the tragic story of my traitorous wife? "

[Sperenza] - "No? Why? "

[Segreto] - "That's a story you would never hear from anyone in the empire. She was beautiful, joyful and the light in my life when everyone betrayed me. But I came to learn that the world is evil and nothing good will live for long. "

[Sperenza] - "What happened? "

[Segreto] - "She betrayed me by running away with another man. I woke up in the remains of our burned-down house covered in the ashes of my once bright future. She lied to me for so many years... Wasted all of my hopes and dreams... Yet, she remained unrepentant for all this pain she caused me. "

[Sperenza] - "What will you do then? "

Segreto looked at Sperenza dead in the eyes and answered with a cold and unforgiving voice.

[Segreto] - `"I once gave her an identity and made her human. It is only logical that I do the contrary. I will dehumanize her and turn her into no one. "

Sperenza sat terrified by the words that came out of Segreto's mouth but remained clueless about the danger she is currently in.

[Segreto] - "We will head to the frontline tonight. I need to go command my armies in the field. "

Sperenza suddenly realized that the frontline is out of Judge's reach.

[Sperenza] - "The... front? "

[Segreto] - "I need to go oversee the attack on Ireland and you are coming with me. "

Sperenza wanted to object but she's in no position to deny Segreto's orders. She has to remain as hidden as possible to avoid raising Segreto's suspicion.

The world around her suddenly flashed with bright lights.

[Sperenza] - "No! Not the visions again! "

The world around Kady shifted in an impossible manner. The ground opened up to a void filled with stars while the ceiling broke apart to reveal countless realities. The walls crumbled to reveal a strange location where the only ones around this place is her.

Kady looked to see stones falling from the clouds. After taking cover below a building, reality slowly shifted back to normality. She soon found herself in the middle of a crowded city center with tall skyscrapers and busy traffic. She looked around her in confusion before a group of people pushed her inside a hotel.

After recovering her balance, she looked in shock to see a young man with golden hair standing in front of her. Although she claimed to have never seen Mike in person, she immediately knew that the young man was Mike.

[Mike] - "Well, well, look who decided to stop playing hide and seek. "

[Kady] - "What do you want from me? "

Mike slapped her in the face and knocked her on the floor.

[Mike] - "Never! Never for once in my life have I seen evil comparable to you! You know what you did and yet, you refused to even acknowledge it! "

Mike gave Kady a few hatred-filled kicks in the abdomen before finishing it off with a kick that knocked her against the wall. Blood poured out of Kady's mouth as she struggled to get herself off the ground.

[Mike] - "Undo this spell of yours! Let me return to reality! "

[Kady] (in a pain-filled voice) - "You are a sick man! "

Mike approached her and pressed his foot against her body.

[Mike] - "I'll ask this again. Turn off your ability and let me go back to reality! "

[Kady] - "I don't know what you are talking about! "

Mike looked at her in disappointment before letting out an evil laugh.

[Mike] - "If I kill you, your ability will be turned off. So I guess that's what I'll do. "

The world around the two suddenly turned to statics before Kady disappeared from the ground. Enraged, Mike smashed down the wall in front of him and yelled at the top of his lungs. Mike trashed the hotel and walked out of the place.

[Mike] - "You can't hide forever! I will find you and kill you! "

He walked amongst the crowd of people before noticing the time display on top of a building.

[Mike] - "5th of May, 2078... How is that possible... "

Mike thought for a second and suddenly realized that he somehow found himself in the past.

[Mike] - "I see... last I remember, the date was 8th of May, 2078. That could only mean one thing. "

Mike started to walk faster before calling for a passing taxi on the road.

[Driver] - "Where u heading to, man? "

Mike quickly got inside the vehicle and handed a few hundred dollars to the driver.

[Mike] - "I need to go to the airport. It is an urgency. "

The driver immediately sped off.

[Mike] (in whispers) - "I know now where to find you. "

Kady woke up inside an unknown office. She suddenly collapsed to the floor due to the sharp pain in her abdomen. She wiped off the blood from her mouth and remembered what just happened. Everything she just experience isn't just a vision, it is true.

She stared at the blood on her hands and let out a gasp of horror. She looked around and remembered this office to be Segreto's frontline headquarter. She somehow moved forward in time after she travelled with Segreto to the frontline.
