Karson stared at Cold War in readiness and calm.

He was ready to fight back.

Cold War snapped his finger and released Karson from his ability's restrain.

[Cold War] - "Come at me! I invite you! "

The young man immediately threw himself onto his opponent and launched a punch toward his face. Cold War quickly dodged the attack and with a fast strike, he stroke back at Karson. But, to Cold War's surprise, the punch was unexpectedly blocked by Karson.

[Cold War] (confused) - "Huh? "

[Karson] - "Much appreciated, mate! "

Karson slowly raised his head and spoke.

[Karson] - "You explained your ability to me but I haven't even told you mine yet. This shield was just enough to hold against your attack so it confirms that your power level is equal to mine. "

[Cold War] (in a cold voice) - "You... What will that change then? "

[Karson] - "It means that you have tied this battle with me unless one of us outsmart the other! "

Karson prepared to launch another offensive but realized that his shield was held mid-air and was unable to move.

[Karson] (puzzled) - "What the bloody hell? "

[Cold War] - "Cheer, mate, my ability can also put a hold on other people's ability. "

Karson rapidly ran toward Cold War and with his fist, fired a swift blow toward his enemy's face. The young man smashed Cold War's helmet visor and kicked the man to the ground. Cold War promptly rolled aside and stood up.

[Cold War] (angered and confused) - "What the heck? How are you still able to move? "

[Karson] - "Since our power levels are equal, that means when you held my ability still, you don't have any more power to restrain my body. "

[Cold War] (in frustration) - "You little rascal... "

[Karson] - "1 minute left until I officially defeat you! "

The two men looked at each in the eyes before both throwing themselves on each other. Karson hastily threw a barrage of punches toward Cold War while the man launched a light speed strike back at the young man. Cold War held back his attack and backed away far enough for Karson's barrage to miss him.

[Cold War] - "You have lost already! "

Karson touched his neck to find a small cut wound that he didn't even notice he had.

[Cold War] - "Your ability only has a 2 metres range but mine has 3 and I managed to deal the damage before you could react... I have won! My next attack will cost your life. "

[Karson] (confidently) - "Really? "

Cold War was suddenly hit by a huge energy outburst that blew him metres away to crash on a wall.

[Karson] - "Steal the heart's second attack, [Tesla Breakbot]. "

The young man walked toward Cold War in the crater with a closed fist, ready to fight.

[Cold War] (in fear) - "We... we can talk about this, my British brother... do you want money? "

[Karson] - "Coward... How ironic, you started as a king but ended up as a beggar. "

[Cold War] (in a panic) - "Hey... Look! Just don't harm me, I'm already injured! You can't beat an injured man, can't you? "

[Karson] (in a cold voice) - "Is my name Mr. cliché? Why do you think I can't beat you to a bloody pulp? "

[Cold War] (in fear) - "Hey, Hey, now mate, we can discuss about this... "

[Karson] - "Talk to the fist! "

Without any warning, Karson grabbed his enemy's throat and pitched a punch toward his face.

Cold War quickly held Karson's fist mid-air before it could reach his face and ripped a knife out of his pocket.

[Cold War, in his mind] - ("I still have one last chance, fate hasn't abandoned me yet! ")

[Cold War] - "Take this, Karson! "

The man pushed the sharp weapon toward the young man's abdomen but before he could reach his target, a loud sound suddenly blasted-off beside his ear. A shard of concrete penetrated inside his neck and caused blood to spit everywhere.

[Cold War] (in pain and confusion) - "Wha... What? "

[Karson] - "I wasn't aiming for your head, I was aiming for the wall beside your head. My attack destroyed the wall and sent a piece of the concrete into your neck, which is exactly what I wanted knowing that you will block my punch. "

[Cold War] (in pain and frustration) - "You little... "

Karson instantly pummeled Cold War with a barrage of punches before he could finish his sentence.

[Karson, while punching Cold War] - "Woooooooh! "

With one final strike to head, Karson punched Cold War toward the ceiling and soon with the secondary effect, Cold War's body exploded into a bloody mess that destroyed the entire roof of the place.

[Karson, with a salute] - "Done in exactly 5 minutes and 0 seconds! Cheerio! " *(Not the cereal, it's a way to say goodbye in British English)

*Back at Mergiann and World War

World War charged toward Mergiann and with a snap of his finger, detonated the wall beside her. The piece of metal and cement flew and hit the young girl who, in return, threw two grenades at the man. With a fast reaction, World War exploded the ground in front of him which pushed the explosives back at Mergiann.

[Mergiann] (in agony and surprise) - "What? "

A giant explosion set the whole place in flame while Mergiann was propelled the blast. The young girl soon impacted face first with the floor and rolled a few rounds before resting motionless on her back. World War marched through the fire and stood beside the girl's corpse.

[World War] - "Come on! Quit pretending, I know your armour shielded you from the blast. "

Mergiann stayed on her back and no response came from her mouth.

[World War] - "Or you could truly be dead but I still have to make sure! "

World War raised his arm while preparing for another detonation. With a snap of his finger, the man destroyed Mergiann's helmet with an explosion.

[World War] (fatigued) - "There... I have to admit... you are the first person to make sweat this much. "

All of a sudden, two more grenades rolled to World War's feet and with a quick dodge, the man launched himself to the side while barely managing to avoid the explosion's full blast. World War rapidly crawled toward Mergiann's armour and realized that the girl wasn't even inside the suit.

[World War] (in anger) - "This little daughter of a cursed fire... "

World War stood up and observed his surroundings while trying to find his prey.

[World War, in his mind] (in a sudden realization) - ("Could she be... ")

*Inside the main control room

Mergiann hastily downloaded the data inside the main system and inserted the small USB key inside her pocket. Suddenly, she was grasped by a hand and was launched against the wall where she sat on the floor.

[World War] (in anger) - "You think you are sneaky, ou little bitch? "

[Mergiann] (in agony) - "Hehe... I'm the least sneaky rat in my pack of rodents... That's why if I were to kill, I'll let the whole world hear it! "

[World War] - "You are out of grenades and I can end you right here and now unless... "

World War looked at Mergiann's b.r.e.a.s.ts and licked his lips in a perverted fashion.

[World War] (in a naughty voice) - "Unless you show me that bulge under that shirt of yours. "

[Mergiann] - "Oh... I will gladly let you have a great time with them. "

World War promptly approached Mergiann who slowly pulled her bra up. But instead of what the man expected, two atomic charges dropped out from the young girl's c.h.e.s.t.

[Mergiann] (sarcastically) - "I'm actually flat! "

[World War] (in shock) - "What the... "

[Mergiann] (screaming) - "EXPLOSION! "

[World War] (enraged) - "You sick... "

A colossal explosion blasted the entire base and the island into a fiery mess of burned debris and dust. A cloud of thick black smoke covered the skies while sparks of fire flew all over the ocean.

Darlynn stared at the scene in shock and horror from the jet's windows.

[Darlynn] (in a worry) - "Mergiann! Karson! "

From the dusty skies, Mike dropped down into the sands holding both Karson and Mergiann in his arms. Darlynn promptly ran out of the ship and dashed her way toward Mike.

[Darlynn] (worried) - "Are they fine? What happened? "

[Karson] - "I'm fine but Mergiann may need some help. "

[Mike] - "Jesus bloody Christ, you two! What the actual f.u.c.k was that? "

Mergiann m.o.a.n.e.d and opened her eyes. Slowly with her weak hands, the young girl handed to Mike the small USB containing the navigation data.

[Mergiann] (in agony) - "Here, mister Mike, the records... "

Mike gently took the USB from her hands and carried her inside the ship with Karson and Darlynn quickly following the two. Mike carefully put Mergiann on a bed and allowed Karson to take care of her injuries.

[Mike] (in a serious tone) - "Karson, you own me some explanations! "

[Karson, while putting bandages on Mergiann's wounds] - "I didn't do shit, mate, this explosive loli did all this crap back there! "

[Mike, with a sigh] - "If I arrived one second late, both of you would be dead... She can't go on as a suicidal bomber like this! "

[Karson] - "I'll warn her when she wakes up... "

Darlynn suddenly appeared beside Mike and took her hat off while kneeling in front of the young man.

[Darlynn] (in a thankful voice) - "You have earned my eternal respect, mister Mike! "

[Mike] (confused) - "What? Why? I didn't do anything! "

[Darlynn] - "As the man who hired us to find your wife for you, you could have easily left us on our own instead of coming to our rescue. You have the heart of a true gentleman and the soul filled with kindness. I dearly respect you from the dept of my heart. "

[Mike] (in a serious tone) - "Get up already, I'm no hero or saviour. I put your lives in danger for my cause, I feel ashamed for this... None of you deserved to live a life under the constant possibility of death. I don't deserve your respect because I'm the true evil here. "

[Darlynn] - "I don't care about what you pretend to be, I will always respect you for who you truly are to me. "

Mike remained unresponsive and walked toward the window where he stared at the glowing moon.

[Mike] (emotionally) - "I won't fail you, Kadyn. This bloodshed is unnecessary... But I won't allow him to harm you. Wait for me alive and well, as to how I remembered you in my memories. "

Mike faced his head back and marched out of the jet. The young man and Karson's team once more parted ways as Mike disappeared into the sea using his ability.
