Crystalline Universe: Team Fortress 2/ Overwatch

The moonlight shined upon the dark alleyways hidden from the people's eyes. Silent and mysterious like the unknown, it provided refuge for the miserable and the wicked of society.

Azur burst out of a metal door, drunk and tired followed by Paxton, who's still very much sober. Without much power to keep walking straight, Azur rapidly fell toward a wall before Paxton quickly went and helped correct her direction.

[Paxton] - "I think you had too many for tonight. "

[Azur] - "What can I do? I'm a light drinker. "

[Paxton] - "Letting you drink that vodka is indeed a bad idea. "

[Azur] (in a drunk voice) - "Don't tell me what to do, damn it! "

[Paxton] - "You drank it, so it's not my fault. "

After the short walk back to the hotel, Paxton dropped Azur off on her bed but before finding himself a seat beside her. He stared at her for a moment thinking that she fell asleep but before he could take his a.s.s off his chair, Azur suddenly opened her eyes.

[Paxton] - "Oh! You are... awake. "

[Azur] - "Yeah, I probably need some sleep. Thanks for taking me out tonight though. "

[Paxton] - "Mind if I stay? "

Azur looked at Paxton for a second before suddenly letting out a burst of drunken laughter.

[Azur] - "Oh come on, dude, you know you ain't my type. "

[Paxton] - "I could always try. "

[Azur] - "Ha! No, it's not because I'm drunk that I'll have a different view of you. "

[Paxton] - "Well, I tried. "

Arriving by the door, Paxton turned back at Azur with his face being inches away from hers. Azur, with an annoyed face, pushed him out of her room.

[Paxton] - "Come on! I carried you all the way back here. Can't I get a reward? "

[Azur] - "Of course! "

Azur, despite her poor coordination, grabbed Paxton's hand and gave him a handshake.

[Azur] - "Good night, pal! "

Then without another word, before he could react, Azur slammed the door on Paxton's face.

[Paxton] - "Come on! Did you just friendzone me like this? "

[Azur] - "Deal with it. "

Without a further response from Azur, Paxton left the building with a frustrated expression on his face.

[Paxton] (in a whisper) - "F.u.c.k.i.n.g bitch! "

In the alley behind Paxton, a pair of vengeful eyes secretly stalked him without him knowing. As he moved further, the mysterious stalker quietly moved behind him before pulling out a gun. Silent like a fish, the bullet, in the form of a mosquito, travelled to Paxton's neck before stinging him without his knowledge. With his deed done, the obscure man backed into the shadow, away from witnesses.

The light wasn't bright, leaving the room with partial obscurity and the room, despite being cramped, didn't bother the 4 men insides partying and drinking to their heart's content. In the midst of their celebration, a dark presence was suddenly felt amongst them. A tall dark figure appeared behind one of the men.

[Mazzatello] - "I see you guys are having a good time. "

His chilling cold breath iced the head of the man who he was standing in behind. As the others looked in shock, one of the men got up and walked toward the chief executioner.

[mystery man] - "Ah! Mazzatello, my dear friend, how unexpected of you. Want a drink? "

Mazzatello chugged the small cup of whisky down his throat, which to the men watching, looked as if the liquid disappeared into the void behind Mazzatello's hood.

[Mazzatello] - "I have a job for you 4. "

[mystery man] - "You name it, my lord. We are kinda desperate for some action. "

[Mazzatello] - "I need you 4 to take down a team of thugs. They call themselves the passion knights and each of their members is called a fantastic dreamer. "

Upon hearing the name, the 4 men burst into laughter as, to them, it sounded like some kind of amateur team of thugs roaming the streets. But suddenly, Mazzatello smashed the table in anger. The action, in coordination with his crystal, caused not only the table but also the 4 men and their chairs to be forcefully crushed against the ground.

[Mazzatello] - "You bunch of insolent fools! They are a threat that should be taken seriously. They even managed to kill one of the Divine servants. "

[Mystery man] - "Ow! Ow! Alright, please, release us, my lord, this really f.u.c.k.i.n.g hurt. "

[Mazzatello] - "I want them dead, quickly and painlessly. They are indeed a bunch of talented folks and in fact, they have earned my respect. A team of crooks managing to beat an entire system all by their own, through their own abilities and minds. "

[Mystery man] - "Where the heck can we find them? "

[Mazzatello] - "That girl, Azur Ameri, will be your clue. "

After finishing his phrase, Mazzatello disappeared into the darkness without a sound, leaving the 4 men in confusion.

[mystery man 2] - "Azur? How can she bring us any information? "

[mystery man 3] - "What kind of monstrosity do we have to take down? They must be f.u.c.k.i.n.g dangerous to make even Mazzatello panic like that. "

[mystery man 1] - "Who cares? Those f.u.c.kers be dead against us no matter what. We are f.u.c.k.i.n.g invincible together. "

The 4th man, who remained silent during all this time finally put his glass down and called the others to his attention.

[mystery man 4] - "Caution may as well be our best friend. Azur will give us the information tomorrow but as for now, I suggest we familiarize ourselves with the people we are gonna deal with. "

[mystery man 1] - "Oh please, dude, they are no match against us! "

[mystery man 4] - "Your recklessness is why you got friendzoned by Azur, you ignorant fool. "

The two other men suddenly let out a burst of laughter while the shamed man slashed a cup off the table in anger.

[mystery man 1] - "Oh f.u.c.k off, man! "

[mystery man 4] - "If you don't switch off that toxic and arrogant attitude, I'll gladly make you sit out the entirety of the operation. "

The next day, after recovering all of her strength, Azur finally stepped out of her hotel room. Upon exiting the hotel, she was met with a horrifying scene.

An entire family is being dragged out of an apartment by policemen of the XX-LA. The entire family being showed inside a truck like how we treat livestock that is being sent to the slaughterhouse. Azur, knowing full well the fate that awaits the family, wanted to step forward to help them but just as she was approaching the policemen, she was stopped by Paxton, who grabbed her by the wrist.

[Paxton] - "Let them be, there is nothing we can do. "

[Azur] - "Why are you here? "

[Paxton] - "I was coming here to pick you up for the dinner you promised me. "

[Azur] - "Huh? Did I? "

[Paxton] - "You were kinda drunk last night, so you probably forgot. "

[Azur] - "You, sir, are playing a dangerous game. "

[Paxton] - "A drunk man is a jerk but once he's sober, he knows his mistakes. "

[Azur] - "Heh... come on. Are you trying your luck with me again? "

[Paxton] - "No. "

Paxton walked toward the policemen, identified himself, and called for the release of the family. The policemen, confused and speechless, had no choice but to obey. Soon, Paxton returned beside Azur.

[Azur] - "What the hell? How are they obeying you? "

[Paxton] - "Look, dear friend, I'm not trying to flirt with you. Since you consider me a friend, then let's be real friends instead of just coworkers. "

[Azur] - "You know what? I'll give this one to you. Impress me, and maybe I'll consider. "

[Paxton] - "You got it! "

At the restaurant, as they were eating, Paxton discreetly pulled out a small box from his pocket.

[Azur] - "What is that? "

[Paxton] - "Eyes as sharp as those of an eagle, huh? It's your birthday today. "

[Azur] - "Oh my! Even I forgot. "

[Paxton] - "Happy birthday. By the way, did your teammates call you to wish you a happy birthday? "

[Azur] - "No? "

[Paxton] - "Sigh... they don't deserve you. "

[Azur] - "But you remembered. *Shy laugh* "

[Paxton] - "Go on! Open it. "

Azur opened the box to find a pair of shining golden bracelets. Without hesitation, she quickly wore them on her wrists.

[Paxton] - "Do you like them? "

[Azur] - "They look great! Thank you! "

[Paxton] - "Now, wanna go for a ride? "

[Azur] - "You bet! "

Later as they drove, they passed beside a large and empty wall of a building. Paxton stopped his car beside the building and exited the vehicle.

[Azur] - "Hey, what's wrong? "

[Paxton] - "Wanna have some fun? Making art? "

Azur stared at the vast empty wall and froze as she thought how much paint would she need to convert the entirety of it.

[Paxton] - "Hey, I got it covered! "

Paxton pointed at the backseat of the car, where cans of paints filled the space available. Azur looked back at Paxton with an evil grin on her face. Without further delay, they started their work on the large wall.

Azur, with the help of her crystals, painted the higher up sections of the wall while Paxton, without an ability that allows him to climb, painted the lower sections where he can reach. By nightfall, they finally finished covering the entire wall with artworks of all kinds.

Without a word, Azur while admiring her work, reached her fist out to Paxton. Paxton, after realizing it, gave her a fist pump. Once back inside the car, the 2 exhausted friends finally breathed a sigh of relief. With their clothes covered in paint of all colours as well as their faces, they didn't even realize that they accidentally made the interior of the car dirty. But when they did realize how colourful each of them is, they simply laughed it off.

[Paxton] - "It was fun today. "

[Azur] - "Haha... you sure did make my birthday special... "

Suddenly, they heard the sound of a police siren approaching. Without losing a second, Paxton started the engines and stared at Azur with a smirk on his face. Azur fastened her seatbelt and the chase is up.

They spent another 30 minutes dodging the police before finally managing the hide themselves in a desolate alley. With cold sweat on her forehead, Azur took off her clothes, leaving only her bra on her c.h.e.s.t.

[Azur] - "Today was amazing... to be honest. "

[Paxton] - "Indeed it was... I never got to actually do so much in a single day. "

[Azur] - "You sound like a totally different guy from who you were last night. "

[Paxton] - "Being drunk and being sober means 2 totally different kinds of personality. "

[Azur] - "You know what? I might change my view of you. "

[Paxton] - "If you think I'm worth your time. "

Azur, battered and exhausted, pressed her head against Paxton's shoulder.

[Paxton] - "Say, you never told me about your team. Who are they? "

[Azur] - "Ah... them? Mergiann, Karson and Darlynn. They made up the name of Passion Knight for the team and something like that. "

[Paxton] - "Oh! Then you are the 4th member? "

[Azur] - "Yeah, I have to go meet them in a few days for some business... Besides Darlynn, the 2 others are simply selfish assholes. "

[Paxton] - "How about you take me with you? I'm pretty bored too, maybe I can help. "

[Azur] - "Sure! If that's what you want. "

They stayed silent for a while before Paxton restarted the engines and drove out of the alley with caution. Not long after, he drove Azur back to the hotel. This time, as he was about to leave after escorting Azur back to her room, Azur grabbed him by his wrist.

[Azur] - "Hey... actually... do you wanna come in? "

[Paxton] - "It's getting late, right now. I kinda need some sleep. "

[Azur] - "Oh, come on! Isn't this what you are waiting for? I'm the one inviting you in this time. "

[Paxton] - "Oh really? What awaits me in there? "

[Azur] - "Look at you... maybe you wanna take a shower to clean yourself up? "

[Paxton] - "How kind of you. "

[Azur] - "You are lucky today that I'm feeling so generous. "

Paxton smiled and happily obliged Azur's request while Azur closed her room's door behind her. The next morning, Azur woke up to the smell of coffee from her side. Upon opening her eyes, she saw Paxton, all dressed up and ready to leave, putting down a glass of coffee on her nightstand.

[Azur] - "Hmm? Leaving already? "

[Paxton] - "Yeah, got work to do. "

[Azur] - "Last night was pretty intense... I hope we can do this again soon. "

[Paxton] - "Of course, dear. "

As he headed for the door, he looked back at Azur one last time as she was dressing up.

[Azur] - "Don't forget, in 3 days, you promised you'll come with me. "

[Paxton] - "Don't worry, I'll be there. "

In a hurry, Paxton left the room and walked down the hallway without looking back.

[Paxton] - "This girl... such a shame. "
