“Re-login.”
After finishing lunch, I logged back into CNP.
The remaining playtime for today was…… About half a day left inside the game.

“Well, shall we head out?”
I left the safety area right away and moved to the border between the 1st and 2nd layer.
The situation on the 2nd layer hasn’t changed. Thus, I stuck my right hand out, using its eye to confirm where the Poison Spitting Rats were.

“Suu…… Haa……”
I asserted my intent in activating『Magic Eye of Poison・1』
Then, the circular gauge is displayed for all 13 of my eyes. Each of them began to count down little by little.
Once the gauge had a tiny bit remaining, I matched up with the timing and jumped.

“””Jyuaa!?”””
Naturally, the rats immediately noticed my figure which sprung out towards the 2nd layer.
However, I was already one step ahead of the rats.

“『Taruwiveno』”
“Jyuu…….”
Every one of my 13 eyes emitted a dark green radiance.
At which point, the Poison Spitting Rat who quickly opened its mouth towards me fell over….. Then it started to convulse.
The display showed Poison (112).
If that was so, it’ll likely die within 200 seconds.

“”Jyuaaaaaaaaaa!!””
“Let’s retreat once.”
Still, I didn’t have the leisure time to sit back and verify its death with my own eyes.
I mobilized my insect wings in full force and descended until I reached the slope.
After that, I slid to the bottom of the slope without getting hurt or losing any acceleration due to my levitation.
Then I went out of the room straightaway.
I swiftly concealed myself behind the wall in order to not be seen from the slope.

“””Jyuu!?”””
“Hmm, as suspected, they won’t chase after me.”
The Poisonous Bite Rat that was chasing me had stopped midway on the slope, while the Poison Spitting Rat that tried to hurl poison at me stopped at the edge of the hole. They didn’t pursue any further than that.
It was as though there was someone ordering them to not go beyond that point.
While watching over the situation, I took a slight sip of my potion kettle, recovering my HP.
Finally, the 5 second cooldown time had ended.

“Then, let’s keep repeating this, one rat at a time, until they’re all annihilated.”
I initiated the next 10 second charge time.
When there were only 0.5 seconds left, I jumped out from behind the wall in accordance with that timing……

“『Taruwiveno』”
“Jyuu……!?”
The Poison Spitting Rat that was at the edge of the hole had been inflicted with poison.
This time with Poison (122).
It was quite a considerable number.
Using the force responsible for my jump, I crossed over to the wall on the other side and hid behind it.

“The reason it’s not reaching 130 was because the 13 eyes were attempting to apply the poison status condition separately, I think.”
Moreover, the rats nearby me were now in a state of antinomy where they were inflicted with the poison status condition, but could neither run nor pursue.
Amongst those factors, the part I was a bit curious about was the amount of poison.
With the curse concentration of the『Tower of Mice』, my 『Magic Eye of Poison・1』 should be able to bestow Poison (130) as the max.
However, the highest it’s produced was only in the lower 120s.
It’s probably not turning out too well due to the nature of stacking,
Well, if the poison exceeds 100, the rats can’t handle it anyways, so it’s not too much of a problem.

“Jyuu……”
“””Jyuaaaa!!”””
“Hm? Huh……”
At this point in time, a Poison Spitting Rat had died from my poison.
Then the fallen Poison Spitting Rat was…… Mercilessly eaten by the other Poisonous Bite Rats who didn’t even leave behind its bones.
It appears that for the rats, even if they were comrades, a dead body was simply just food.
That characteristic along with the fact that they were stuck frozen on the slope, unable to run or give chase seemed nothing but humorous to me.

“Now then, let’s think a bit about the order in which I should defeat them in.”
I was interested in the raw materials that the Poison Spitting Rat would drop.
Thus, I decided to first poison and kill the Poisonous Bite Rats in sequence.

“Jyuu……”
And so, while I was taking breaks here and there to recover with the potion kettle, I continued to attack with『Magic Eye of Poison・1』for several minutes.
The last Poison Spitting Rat was tagged with Poison (112) which disabled its movements and whittled away its HP. Furthermore, after a few more minutes had passed, all of the rats were then defeated through poisoning, leaving behind their corpses without disintegrating.

“Well, I might as well collect and retrieve them…… Ah, I guess 4 was the limit.”
It seems like the capacity of the Poisonous Bite Rat’s Fur Bag could only store 4 rat corpses at its utmost.
When I had deposited 2 Poisonous Bite Rats and 2 Poison Spitting Rat corpses, a display appeared, informing me that it couldn’t hold anymore than that.

“The 2nd layer…… It doesn’t seem like there’s much to see here.”
I knew this since my prior visit, but the rats of the 2nd layer had progressively decimated the area exceedingly, so there was almost nothing left here.

“Hm?”
From a section in the exterior wall that was broken off, I happened to catch sight of something that was moving on the streets outside of this building.
I couldn’t leave the building because of the circumstances with curse concentration.
However, I could at least see that there was something moving outside of the building.

“I wonder what was exactly moving out there.”
I approached the collapsed part of the building’s wall
The curse concentration…… For the time being, I was able to confirm that it seemed to at least be safe until you were slightly over 1 meter away from the edge of the floor.
I took a seat at the floor’s edge in order to get a clearer view of the moving entities.

“Hu…… mans…….?”
What I saw moving was, a group of 6 humans(?).
As for why I questioned their form, with CNP’s design, there were practically no humans that resembled the ones in real life. On top of that, the players, NPCs, and monsters were indistinguishable from each other.
Also, I wasn’t able to see the details of their appearances simply because of the distance.
For now, it’s safe to say that these 6 human-like beings were co-operating on an exploration of this area.

“…… Maybe I should do a little testing.”
My mouth formed an arc.
Well yeah, it’s not like I wanted to be proactive with PKing and I had no intentions of challenging PVP either.
I don’t plan to do so, but it’s not like I didn’t have any crave for it.
Excluding the safety area, CNP was set in a world where your life was always in danger, so blaming others for your death wasn’t something you could really do. After all, in this world, you can’t tell when and where a fight might occur.
In addition, I had something I wanted to try out with my evil eye arts right now.
That’s why I decided to do this.
In no way was I venting my anger on them because I was prohibited from leaving the dungeon, nor was I jealous of them getting along even without a PT system.
This was only because it was good to test out what you wanted to when you had the chance to. That’s all.

“Charge initiated.”
In response to my will, a circular gauge is displayed in each of my 13 eyes and the countdown commences.
