The following morning, I g.r.o.a.n.e.d while burying my head under my pillow. I could already hear her favorite speech. When I was younger, I… and she would tell me almost every night about her life when she was younger. Actually, there was nothing wrong with it but for someone like me, it almost liked a curse because once she started, it took hours for her stop. I sighed. I tried hard to cope with her before I went to sleep. Once I woke up, I usually ended up with bags under my eyes like a panda.

[Meow~]

[Nya!]

[*Yawn* Oh, it's only you]

[Good morning Kuro, Shiro]

I smiled at my two little fluffy balls that were nuzzling against my face. I picked them and put them aside before I'd hot shower and freshen up. After I bathed, I waltzed down the stairs and went straight to the dining room. I always found myself astounded by the amount of food prepared for breakfast.

[Every meal should be special]

My mother had once told me. It was like a feast fit for a king. Of course, I wouldn't complain. I couldn't help but curled my mouth upward because I always like coffee in the morning. My two pets were with me and I stroke their fur calmly.

[Great, are your seriously holding those two while we're gonna eat?]

Ryouhei said, annoyed.

[They need to eat too]

I rolled my eyes as I said the statement sarcastically.

[Put them down and then, you could feed them]

[They will run]

[They will not and, what if their fur got into the food?]

As soon my brother finished that question, my mother clapped her hand for a cue of silent.

[It's time to eat, right boys?]

My mother seemed to be glaring daggers at us, smiling.

[Right. Right]

We nodded repeatedly, sweating.

I was relaxing in the living room with my brothers. I went here to clarify my jumbled thought. All the dealings with work had caused me close to a heart attack. My second brother had dragged me to a low situation that reduced me to deal with various type of person.

[Little Ryuga, how is it?]

[How what?]

[Working at Sutabaak]

[Good?]

[…Good? That's all?]

[That's all]

[Sigh, I should have expected from my darling brother.]

Ryouhei sighed as he said. I was very relieved that my brother didn't ask much. I didn't know how to explain how I feel about working there. My mind instinctively told myself that nothing good from him asking me.

[Ryouhei-nii, that A-san. What's her full name?]

I couldn't help but asked him once I remembered the girl at the counter. Ryouhei eyes were wide open with bewilderment. He was thinking of meeting her after this. She had invited him over to Sutabaak to talk about their latest menu.

[A-san. Her real name is Aida Mishima. We always call her A-san because we accidentally heard someone call her that. Well, it might not be the best nickname but at least it was decent]

[Your sense of naming is worse than I'd thought before, nii-san]

[Ugh, I find it cute and a lot easier to call by that, my little brother]

[Alright and…]

[…Oh, and uh…That Ryuna-san…]

[She's a regular customer. Hehe, my brother finally interest in a girl?]

Ryouma stayed closed to them just in case Ryuga was to throw Ryouhei on the floors below them because Ryuga already glaring daggers at him. Ryouhei's eyes showed a hint of amus.e.m.e.nt as he slung a hand over Ryuga.

Ryouma was quite surprised over his younger brother. He didn't know that he actually took a part-time job but he supported him of course as long as he didn't do something illegal or dangerous. He just recently returned from hospital because his best friend, Fubuki got caught in an accident. He received quite a shock but he began to slowly he recovered from it.

He recalled that a week ago, he received a few miss calls from Fubuki's parents. Once he called back, he found out that their son was involved in an accident involving a truck.

[Where? Where am I?]

Fubuki murmured. When Fubuki was awake, he could see his friend looked at him worriedly. He could hardly move his legs. His body felt stiff. He also saw a faint view of his family surrounding him.

[Don't move too much. Lay still. Take a rest. You're in a hospital now]

Ryouma said.

[What happened?]

Fubuki asked.

[You're involved in an accident. Lucky you're not rolled over by a trucked. An eyewitness said a truck braked just a few inches away from your body. Thank God you're fine. I've been worried sick about you.]

Ryouma said further in relief.

[How long I've been here?]

Fubuki asked.

[Three days. Don't worry, everything's fine]

Ryouma reassured him.

[Thank God, you regain consciousness. I would never let you walk alone anymore.]

Fubuki's mother tearfully said.

[You've only suffered some bruises on your legs. Otherwise, they are fine. Don't worry. Your legs will be okay in a few days.]

Fubuki's father reassured his son.

Fubuki was in a hospital for a few days. He was lucky indeed to escape death. If he had been rolled over by a truck, there was no chance for him to survive. His girlfriend brought porridge for him every day like she had promised. His other friends also visit him.

Ryouma remembered that today should be the day he was discharged from hospital after a week of being admitted. Fubuki had called him and told that he had recuperated and was back to normal. The swellings and bruises on his body had lessened. He was able to walk again.

Most of Ryouma's spare time was used in reading books. Recently, he read some motivational materials to keep himself occupied. Ever since his friend got caught in an accident, he had a long thought and had high hopes that things would change positively for him after this like before.

[Ryouma-nii! Look at your brother! He's gonna break my arm! Ittai!]

Ryouma stopped reading his book and looked over his brothers. His legs were crossed, eyes calmly analyzing his brothers around the same place he was sitting. Ryuga was gripping Ryouhei's arm with his right hand while Ryouhei was trying hard to break free. He facepalmed.

[Sigh, both of you already growing up. Why are you behaving like a kid?]

He asked calmly. Ryuga flinched by the tone of his voice. He released Ryouhei's hand which already burned with a red mark. He coughed and looked away as he tried to hide his embarrassment.

*Buzz* *Buzz*

The phone on the coffee table suddenly rang. Ryouma frowned and excused himself. He picked up his phone and walked outside to breathe fresh air. He walked near the pool and decided to soak his leg inside it. The water was cool.

[Good morning! Ryouma, how are you?]

From the other side of the phone, Fubuki slightly laughed.

[Fubuki, you…sigh, I guess I don't need to worry about you anymore.]

Ryouma sighed.

[Geez, you sound just like my mom. It's just bruised, I can handle it]

[Hmm? Did I just hear you crying? I have some tissue here if you need one.]

Fubuki joked. Ryouma turned silent. He was trying to relax but Fubuki's comment already made him wanted to twist his neck. His hand turned into a fist as the vein popped on his forehead. He felt that he should meet Fubuki right now and knock some sense into him. Since when did he look like he was crying?

[Wanna hang out tomorrow? Ya know, I'm lonely here]

Ryouma rolled his eyes by Fubuki who was trying to make his voice as pitiful as possible.

[Alright, it's confirmed! Bring your brothers too! I haven't met them for a long time!]

Ryouma was speechless. He didn't even agree but Fubuki already made up his mind.

[Fine, where do you want to meet?]

Ryouma asked.

[I heard that there was a new ice-cream parlor near Akio Mall]

Fubuki followed.

[Ah, you mean that ice-cream parlor. It was called Dreamy Ice something?]

[I remember that it just opened a week ago.]

Ryouma frowned, rubbing his temples while trying to remember. He'd known earlier that there was an ice-cream parlor being built but he never went there, at least not yet.

[Yes yes! That's the one! Too bad I was at the hospital on the Opening Day. I heard they gave a free ice-cream to everyone.]

Fubuki turned despondent after thinking about it.

[Sigh, you should focus on recovering first. We think about that tomorrow.]

[Yes yes! Kaa-san!]

[It's Ryouma! Ryouma Mikado!]

In the end, Ryouma ended his call before Fubuki started laughing at him. He felt annoyed.
