A few days ago, Silver was walking down in some streets, southwest of Babel Tower. He was walking through there to ask people if there are any bookstores around the place. He found many.

He was trying to buy a grimoire for Bell so he can have another magic in the future but of course, it should be a secret so he will buy another book he can read. The book he was trying to buy was his own book, his adventures outside Orario. In other words, his diary. As an author, he used the name "Tajiro Ryujin" just to make sure no one would recognize him. After all, who would write a book with their name on it if they wanted to lie low?

Anyways, Silver came into a shop named "Dalbi's Library" which made his eyes twitch. He felt the name was rearranged.

Silver entered, the inside was full of bookshelves that were so high that you needed to use ladders in order to reach the book up in the higher part of the bookshelves. Looking around, shocked by how many books there are, he came directly to the "shopkeeper", or should I say "librarian", that seemed to be a girl the same age as him.

"Um... Are you the librarian or something?" he asked directly.

The girl turned around and saw who was the one who asked her. When she saw him, she blushed at how handsome the young man in front of her. Not just handsome but also tall, and he looked smart and m.a.t.u.r.ed. She can't utter a word.

"Umm... Hello?" seeing the girl in front of him didn't react, he did a finger snap in front of her to try to "snap" her back to herself.

"Uh? Oh, yes. Yes, I'm the librarian here." she said and looked away and muttered, "I'm only an apprentice though."

"I see... If you are the librarian, then who was that?" he said and pointed to an old man who was in between the bookshelves.

The old man laughed and showed himself. He wears a sleeveless maroon coat with its buttons gold in color. He wears a white toga that is made of high quality silk. His clothing style was the same as the Romans in early times, though wig is not included.

"You've got sharp eyes. What's your name, my boy?" the Old Man asked.

"My name is Silver Cranel. Nice to meet you, sir..." he raised his hand for a handshake, however, he still don't know his name.

"My name is Dalbi, Dalbi Arcys. You can call me Mr. Arcys or Mr. Dalbi. Nice to meet you too! The girl right there at the counter is Ellie Fluette, my granddaughter." the old man, Dalbi Arcys, introduced himself and the girl. "And she's..." before he could even continue, he was interrupted by Silver.

"She's just your apprentice?" this shocked both Ellie and Mr. Dalbi.

"H-how did you know?" Ellie, being the most shocked, can't help but ask.

"There are two things." Silver paused a little and continued, "First, I heard you whisper that you are just an apprentice after you turned your head away."

"Is his hearing as sharp as a blade?!" Ellie screamed in her head.

"Second, Librarians are experienced individuals who are smart, wise, and most importantly, capable enough of managing things." Silver said and added, "You can't outsmart someone who's smarter than you. Wisdom comes with age. Capable of managing things that can easen your life. You don't seem to have one of these traits except the last one.

"Are you saying that I'm not smart or wise enough? Come over here and let me smack your face!" Ellie screamed in her head because she can't say it in front of the handsome youth.

"I'm not saying that you are not smart nor wise enough. I'm just saying that you haven't met the requirements to be a librarian yet." Silver said.

"Is this guy can really read my mind?" She was shocked that Silver seemed to be able to read her mind well.

It would shock her more if she knew that Silver can't read other's minds.

"Now, Silver, my boy. Is there any book you want? We might have those, we might don't have those." Mr. Dalbi spoke, interrupting the two.

"Oh, yeah. Mr. Dalbi, does your library have books about forging?" he asked with a serious face.

"Books about forging? I have a lot of them, however, they were too old and are not updated. They are over a hundred years old. The words were written again to not let its contents go unread by someone whose interested." Mr. Dalbi said while rubbing his chin.

"I would like to borrow them." Silver really wanted to learn how to forge.

"But before that, can I ask you a question?" Mr. Arcys fixed his gazed at Silver.

"Yes, you can Mr. Arcys." Simply said and smiled.

"What is a book to you?" Mr. Arcys asked with a solemn face.

"A book can teach people knowledge, and many other things." He immediately answered after he was asked and still continued, "Books are not just books, they are books because they contain much knowledge that we didn't know. Some people ignores books and don't like them that much but they knew it was necessary. However, humans were born ignorant, some of them thought that books are useless. But for me, they were one of the most wonderful things in the world. Books that are old? I consider them treasures of the world, and nobody knows that."

When Silver answered Mr. Arcys' question, he was moving his hands as his answer become a speech. A speech that moved the old man.

"Mr. Arcys, are you okay?" Silver saw the old ma- I mean, Mr. Arcys' eyes had some tears, ready to drop.

"I'm okay, I'm okay. I'm moved by your answer, your speech is magnificent! Because of that, you can go and take some of the old books that you liked. They are yours now." Mr. Arcys smiled while crying, he pulled out a handkerchief to wipe his tears of joy.

Silver was told by Mr. Arcys that the old books were placed at the very end of the library, they were placed in an antique looking bookshelf.

He opened them one by one, he saw some interesting books and stacked them up in a nearby table.

The books picked were about forging, weapons, swordsmanship, and a strange book. Three books about forging, they were categorized as Beginner, Master, and Grandmaster. Four books about weapons which were categorized as "Sword", "Axe", "Mace", and "Pole" weapons. Two books about swordsmanship, their names were "Butterfly Stinging Like A Bee", which was about fencing using rapiers, and "Air Slicing Steel", which also about fencing but using sabers instead.

The strange book doesn't seem to be special but he'll take it anyway. He might learn something or two from this book.
