Since Chad was in the middle of the crowd and near the guy that sparked the stampede, he could only grab hold of Hermione and Neville's robes to keep them from separating and follow the direction of the surge of panicked humans.

It was impossible to fight against the weight of multiple people pressing forward, and thanks to being surrounded, he could only go with the flow. Well, he could have used magic to create a sanctuary for himself and his friends, but that would have seen people crushed against it by those behind them.

Much easier to just follow the sheep until they inevitably spread out once there was more room to move. Chad hoped it would be soon since he wanted to check the Marauder's Map for the identity of the 'Death Eaters' attacking.

A few teachers tried to yell out and calm the mass exodus from the stadium where everyone gathered to watch the last task of the Triwizard Tournament, but their words went unheeded.

Too much confidence in the Professors had been eroded thanks to Daily Prophet scandals or conspiracy theories for it to suddenly override the fear of being killed by the wizarding community's bogeymen.

As soon as Chad and his minions cleared the mob, he quickly pulled out his magical map to read the names of those masquerading as Death Eaters.

It was a calculated risk since Hermione and Neville would become aware of the magical artifact. However, one small school secret, when compared to insight into finding out who was still dancing to Dumbledore's tune, was nothing in the long run.

The map became useless when he left Hogwarts anyway, and the only thing valuable about it afterwards would be its construction. If it could be replicated for his other facilities, security would be much tighter.

"Harry, what are you doing? We need to get to safety!" Said a fearful Neville Longbottom.

"Calm down, Neville. The biggest threat to us is being crushed by others in that mob, now that we are clear of it, we have very little to worry about. No one can Apparate on Hogwarts grounds, and we are far enough away from the fighting to not be at risk." Chad explained while pulling out the map.

"Now, what you are about to see can not be shared with anyone, this is very much a secret that needs to stay between only us. Ok?" He practically ordered his minions.

Getting a nod from the still obviously fearful teenagers, Chad could only take the risk and say the password to activate the currently blank piece of parchment. It quickly lit up and showed hundreds of names rushing towards the castle and their three names standing alone.

Scrolling the map over to the edge of Hogwarts territory, and the limits of the map, showed five people standing in a line just inside the boundary of the school grounds.

The names of the supposed Death Eaters predictably did not belong to any 'Dark' family that he knew of.

-Dedalus Diggle

-Elphias Doge

-Sturgis Podmore

-Arthur Weasley

-Barty Crouch Snr

In fact, while Chad didn't recognise all of the names, the ones he did made it obvious whose orders they were following. It was amazing what people that considered themselves true and just did in the name of defending their beliefs or organisation.

Someone preaching tolerance and equality could quite easily burn down random strangers' homes or businesses if it was all in the name of 'progress'. Just ask BLM.

A group of ten or so people were rushing to their position, led by a name that you would never have expected before Harry Potter came to Hogwarts. Severus Snape was leading the charge.

It seems the a.d.u.l.t spectators and teachers actually grew a pair, and actively engaged the attackers to protect the students instead of running away.

A startled gasp from Hermione let Chad know that she fully understood what she was looking at and the full implications of what was revealed.

"Oh My God, the Weasleys are Death Eaters! It all makes so much sense now! All of Ron's prejudice, how limited his knowledge of muggles is, his twin brothers' bullying, and why he hates Harry for no reason!" The girl incorrectly surmised at seeing Arthur Weasley's name among the attackers.

'Well, maybe not.' Chad thought to himself, a small smile finding its way onto his face at her massive leap of 'logic'. Though her dislike of everything Weasly was made known by her incorrect conclusions.

She was probably the target of Ron's anger behind the closed doors of the Gryffindor common room, and she and Neville quite rightly knew Chad would destroy the red-headed menace if he ever found out about it. They really should stop taking sh*t from people at the bottom of the food chain.

He also didn't share her opinion of the twin menaces. While they may take their pranks to far occasionally, he found them mostly amusing. Then again, they had never targeted him.

"I'm afraid you have that wrong, Hermione. While the Weasleys are rather annoying, they are not Death Eaters. This is obviously just another ploy of Dumbledore's to create an enemy for him to gain fame and clear his name. Why else would he dress up his Order of the Phoenix members like their hated enemy?" Chad corrected her.

"What's the Order of the Phoenix?" Neville asked, his fear disappearing now that he knew this was all just a ruse.

Hermione also looked at him expectantly, not knowing the answer for once and waiting for him to fill the gap in her knowledge.

"They were Dumbledore's loyal followers during the wizarding war against Voldemort. Unfortunately, they were blissfully unaware of the old man's true nature and were mostly killed off when they had served their purpose. Our parents were members, and their fate was all part of the old bastard's plan!"

Neville's face went from shock to anger once he realised that Dumbledore was partly responsible for his parent's condition. Before he had thought that kidnapping Harry and some political schemes were the full extent of Dumbledore's crimes. Other than Harry being his friend, it had never affected him before.

Now it was personal.

Seeing a couple of the 'Death Eaters' run near their friends and then beat a hasty retreat for the Forbidden Forest indicated that some were struck by the spells of the teachers. Snape was a master duelist with access to spells that were borderline 'dark', after all.

Unfortunately for Chad's plans, they were too close to the edge of the wards to prevent them from Apparating and being captured. Once they left the maps range, it was evident that they would disappear to safety by magical teleportation.

He could have had his elves make a move, but it had a high chance of exposing them to the world and was simply not worth it. But it didn't really matter anyway.

He had the names of the 'Death Eaters' and a close relationship with a cutthroat journalist who in turn had ties with the head of the DMLE. All it would take was for one of them to be arrested and interrogated for the full story to come out.

"We need to tell McGonagall what we just saw, we can't let them get away scot-free!" Said Hermione, her old personality of rules and justice resurfacing.

Chad couldn't help but dramatically sigh, roll his eyes, and then look at her with a hint of derision.

"First, McGonagall is a staunch supporter of Dumbledore and a member of his Order of Phoenix group. Second, even if she didn't stun us and wipe our memories, what proof do we have other than our word and a magical artifact I don't want to be revealed?"

Before Hermione could blurt out something stupid, Chad assured her that he had a plan.

"Don't worry Hermione, nobody might believe a few Hogwarts students, but they will surely believe Rita Skeeter when she reports it in the Daily Prophet. If nothing has been done about it in a week, you can go to McGonagall and be obliviated if you feel like it. Until then, please leave it to me and don't say anything." Chad said with a hint of authority in his voice.

Although Hermione had come a long way, old dispositions didn't merely change and never resurface again. This was the perfect opportunity to test his minions' loyalty and give them more significant involvement in his life.

He considered Hermione and Neville friends, but that didn't mean he was suddenly going to 100% trust them with all his secrets. Hell, he couldn't think of any situation where he would trust them with his world domination ambitions or that he was reincarnated.

It was simply beyond him to trust someone that much, he had no idea how others could do such a thing. Even Sirius, the guy he liked best in this world, would never learn his deepest secrets.

Maybe Chad was abnormal, but he liked to keep family and friends separated from his more personal secrets and d.e.s.i.r.es. Especially when it might adversely affect the relationship.

And when others did similarly, he accepted it just like he hoped his friends would do the same for him. Back in his first life, one of Chad's best friends didn't tell him he was gay for over ten years, and when he did, nothing changed.

It was weird to Chad when people got upset at him not sharing every single little personal detail about himself to others.

He wouldn't talk about his s*xual fixations about other girls with Hermione, so why would he talk about how he enslaved wizards with her? Just because you were friends with someone, didn't mean they needed to know each and every detail about you.

You talked about mutual likes, dislikes and hobbies with each other, and kept things that would distress them to yourself. Some subjects were best left alone. Money, religion and politics being chief among them.

Plus, Chad was pretty sure his hidden evil deeds would be a bit of a deal-breaker...

If she nearly kicked Harry Potter to the curb over S.P.E.W, then an army of house-elves and actual wizard slaves would be a no-go. So after returning to the castle, once again assuring Hermione and Neville that he would take care of everything, he went to his room to write a letter.

When one of his house-elves passed it to Skeeter, Dumbledore and his allies were in for a rude awakening. If he wasn't going to sit back and be quiet, he might as well be exterminated.
