I followed Jing Tian up the stairs dejectedly. But as soon as we reached the study room, I hugged his waist from behind, and pressed my face into his back. “I miss you so much.”

Jing Tian lowered his head and ignored him. I turned around and launched a hug attack on my little uncle. “Little uncle, you’re not allowed to scold him!”

Then there was a pull on the back of my collar. I yelped as I was pulled away from my little uncle. This time the culprit was Jing Tian. “Nanxing, go and do your homework.” His voice was still gentle but I could tell that he didn’t want me to hug another man in his presence. Jing Tian is always so cute with his well-hidden jealousy.

I ran out the door with a smile. But I took a quick brake at the door. I turned back to ask my uncle. “They have left? All of them?” My little uncle shrugged. I gave him a thumbs up. “Little uncle, you’re amazing! I can’t even figure out a way to chase those hens away!”

“Enough with the flattery, go do your homework!” My little uncle ordered with a chuckle.

My little uncle locked the door to the study so I couldn’t stay with them. I took my homework to the living room and sat there so that Jing Tian would have to pass me when he left. However, whenever I finished 2 questions, I would lift my head to look up the stairs. I was worried that Jing Tian would leave without telling me. In the end, Su Qian had to walk over and press my head towards the papers. “Young Miss, please focus on your homework. I promise you that when Master Qi comes down, I will notify you. I will do everything I can so that you’ll be able to see him before he leaves.” 

I chuckled with embarrassment.

Su Shen pursed her lips and smiled. “Young Miss, you’re worried for nothing. Sister Li is already cooking up a storm in the kitchen. That means that Master Qi will definitely be staying for dinner. Master Si is not as cruel as you think, his heart is softer than his words.”
