DBZ: Another One

Chapter 12 - The Beginning of the End: 19 and 20

"Need to try harder than that." Leek said, taking Kale by the hand and throwing her some distance away. Kale charged forth and almost vanished.

Leek looked around for a little bit and kicked out, hitting Kale dead on and collapsing her to the ground. She got up alright however.

"Wow." Kale said, "You're far stronger than before. Is Earth's training really that good?"

"Yes, it is." Leek replied. She looked to the horizon. "They'll be here soon. We need to be ready to fight at any time. Let's go."

Leek took off and flew toward Kame House. Kale followed after her swiftly.

Whilst they flew, Kale noticed something off about Leek. She was serious about the coming events. Was it because she knew she might die?

After a few minutes, the two landed outside of Kame House. Leek went inside. There she saw Roshi sat at his table. Leek glared a little.

"Old man." she said, "Where's my stuff? You better not have touched it."

"I haven't." Roshi replied, "It's all upstairs. Sheesh, you can be so possessive…"

"What was that?" Leek asked menacingly, "I just don't want some old pervert touching my things, got that?"

"Yeah yeah…" Roshi waved his hand in front of his face, "Just go get your things."

With that, Leek went upstairs and into the attic. There was a bed with an outfit lying on top of it. She ran her hand over it.

"There it is." Leek said, "I'm going to need these."

With that, she got into the outfit. A thick navy tank top with a pair of loose orange bottoms. Along with them, a pair of navy and red soft boots with two thick navy wristbands. The outfit was quite heavy, but it felt like air for Leek. She looked the part of a student of the Turtle Hermit.

"Still fits." she commented. Leek went downstairs and left the house. Kale looked at her.

"Nice outfit." Kale said, "But why are you wearing it?" She tilted her head.

"Because it helps to train." Leek replied, "The top, wristbands, and the boots each weigh about half a ton. If I train whilst wearing it, I'll feel lighter and faster when not wearing it."

"Can I get one?" Kale asked.

"Of course." Leek answered, "I'll see about getting you one once we crush those androids. We will crush them."

She tightly clasped her fist and flew off in the direction of East City. Kale followed suit. Upon arrival, the two had a look around.

"Hmm…" Leek thought, "That kid said that they'd be here. Where are they?"

"!" Kale detected something, "Over there." She pointed further into the city. Leek looked over.

"It's a weak signal." Leek said, "But I recognise it, and it's only getting weaker. Let's go."

Kale nodded and the two flew off to the signal, where they found a surprise. A man with short black hair and a loose orange gi was hanging off of the arm of an old man with a tall shiny black hat. The arm went through his c.h.e.s.t and blood flowed out.

Beside the old man was a round man with pure white skin and a similar hat. The similarity being the red ribbon logo on their hats. Leek recognised the dying man as Yamcha, one of Bulma's friends.

"Hey!" Leek called. The old man dropped Yamcha and looked at Leek.

"Oh?" he said, "If it isn't the Saiyan duo. But where could the other two be?"

"How could you know that?" Leek asked with surprise.

"You two are in my database of course." the old man tapped his head. Leek clenched her fists.

"Androids…" she spat, "Found you."

"How did you..?" the old man shook his head, "No matter, you'll die anyway. There's no-one to help you."

"That's where you're wrong." Leek said. She powers up, letting her aura build up an amazing amount of pressure. The very ground cracks underneath her, deep into the earth. Leek smirks.

"You're quite strong." the old man said, "But it is futile. You won't defeat us."

"This wasn't to beat you." Leek said. Soon after, Goku landed next to her. Vegeta landed behind the men, same with Tien and Piccolo. Krillin too.

"So they're the androids.?" Goku said. Leek nodded.

"Seems so." she said. Leek's tail started waving in excitement. "I've been looking to go all out."

Krillin quickly picked up Yamcha's body and flew off. Goku looked at the androids.

"Want to take this somewhere else?" he asked.

"So you wish to choose your grave?" the old man replied, "Very well, Son Goku."

"Follow me then." Goku said. He flew off. The others followed.

They all arrived at a waste of a mountain range. The androids looked around. Then they looked back to Goku specifically.

"Son Goku." the old man started, "Today, the Red Ribbon Army will have it's vengeance. Starting with your death." He pointed at him. "Android 19. Kill them."

The round white man nodded and approached. Before he reached Goku however, Leek stood between them. She looked at the fat android.

"You don't look like much." Leek said, "How's about you give me a little test first?" She quickly scanned over him. Noticing a pair of red glass balls sticking out of his hands.

19 struck out to Leek, but he was caught by the wrist. Leek smirked.

"I don't quite like the look of those hands of yours." she said as her grip tightened. Metal started bending as she crushed his wrist. "How's about I take them off for you?"

With that she tore off 19's hand and threw it aside. Then she kicked out and took his other arm. 19 was left almost defenceless. Leek raised her hand in front of him.

"How did these things kill me again?" Leek questioned, "Useless pieces of scrap."

She fired a crimson energy wave out that consumed 19 whole, leaving not even ashes in its wake. The old man looked on in shock.

"H-How." he said, "How did you know his strength?!"

"Easy." Leek replied, "My gut told me. So I followed it."

The old man raised his fists. Before Leek was able to react, Goku put his arm in front of her.

"Let me handle him." he said, "I want to fight them too."

Goku took his stance.

"Alright then." the old man said, "I guess I'll just have to kill you myself."

Goku rushed forward and punched, but his arm was grabbed by the old man. Goku seemed to weaken a bit.

"Agh…" he struggled to get out of the grip, "What is this?"

"This is our strength." the old man said, "Your energy is quickly becoming my own. Soon you'll be too weak to fight."

Upon this, Leek flew forward and knee kicked the old man in the face. His dropped his grip and Goku escaped. The old man got back up. His hat was gone, it revealed that the top of his head was made of glass with a brain inside of it.

It was then that Goku dropped to his knees in pain. Tien and Piccolo looked on. He grabbed his c.h.e.s.t as he began to drop to the ground.

"Not yet…" Goku said, "Not now…"

"Piccolo." Leek called, "Get Goku back to somewhere safe. We'll take him down."

"Right." Piccolo replied as he picked up Goku and flew off.

"Now then." Leek said, "Let's end this."

"Not today!" the old man fired a large blast into the ground and caused a giant smokescreen.

"What?" Leek questioned.

When the smoke cleared, the old man had left. Leek looked about, confused and angry.

"How could you let him escape?" Vegeta questioned, "He was right there!"

"Where did he go?" Leek asked, she looked around. "Spread out, we'll find him. Kale, with me."

Kale nodded and stuck close to Leek. They all took off in different directions.
