DBZ: Another One

Chapter 3 - Galactic Overlord, Frieza

In a matter of minutes, Leek caught up with Krillin and Gohan. They seemed to be in a tricky position. They were hidden on a cliff side, watching a small village from afar. In this village, Leek could make out the three shapes, the source of the high energy signature. There was a ball-like shape, a somewhat humanoid shape, and a blob shape. They were definitely dangerous to anyone unprepared. But Leek wasn't worrying about herself, she was worrying about the two scouting on the cliff. They were her only way back to Earth in order to reclaim her ship. Just as Leek was about to move, the two shapes around the round one began to move straight for the two up on the cliff. Leek had to act fast. The two managed to start flying away, but they wouldn't be fast enough to escape from the shapes. Leek began to tail from behind and watch for an opportunity.

It was but a minute later that the shapes caught up. Now that Leek was closer, she could see the shapes in full view. One was a large, pink alien with tiny horns poking out of his head on all sides. The other looked like an Earthling, but had crystalline green skin and hair. They both wore battle suits like the other aliens, but they were far stronger than those grunts. Just as they were cornering Krillin and Gohan, Leek landed behind them, leaving them completely unaware.

"Well, well…" the green one said, "Looks like we've caught ourselves some spies. Bet you weren't expecting to be caught, little spies…" He was interrupted when he felt a faint tapping at his shoulder. When he turned around, Leek hit him in the face, sending him staggering back.

"Well hello boys…" Leek called, "Told you I'd know where you were."

"Leek?!" Krillin answered in surprise, "This time, I'm actually glad to see you."

"Miss Leek…" Gohan started crying, "Help…"

The green man finally removed his hand from his face, his nose was broken and bled quite a bit. "W-What have you done to my beautiful face?!" he screamed, "Who are you?!"

"Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself…" Leek answered, "I'm Leek, the strongest fighter in the universe!" Her tail started swishing about fervently, like she was getting excited. The green man noticed it and was surprised.

"You're a Saiyan?" he questioned, "Impossible, the Saiyans should be all dead."

"So you know something?" Leek grinned, "I'm going to enjoy beating that information out of you…"

"Uh, Zarbon…" the pink one called, "Turn on your scouter." The green one, Zarbon, proceeded to click a small button on the side of his scouter and squealed in horror.

"What is this…" he said, "Ten thousand…twenty thousand….forty thousand…Agh!" His scouter exploded from the power reading. "What are you?!"

"That's for you to decide." Leek said, her body now coated in a red aura that blazed brightly, "If you don't give me anything, then I'm your worst nightmare." Zarbon began to shake, and then tried to run.

"Dodoria!" he called, "Lord Frieza! Help me!" He was trying to run as fast as his legs would carry him. Leek raised her hand, her palm facing him.

"I'll kill you!" Leek shouted, "Chaser Wave!" From her hand, a large, scarlet crescent flew out and chased Zarbon down, when it caught up to him, it flipped and caught Zarbon in a ring of energy. The wave soon exploded, leaving a burned body behind. From what Leek could tell, he was still alive. She walked over to him, seeing the pink alien, Dodoria, shaking in his boots. "You can't escape me. You know something about Planet Vegeta, and you're going to tell me."

All Leek could hear from him was grunts and sounds of pain. She clicked her tongue. "So you can't speak? Then would *you* be willing to tell me?" She pointed at Dodoria, his fear clearly showing.

"I-It…" he stuttered, then dropping to his knees, "It was Lord Frieza! Please, just spare me!"

"Pathetic." Leek spat, then firing a beam of light straight through him, "I won't spare you, but your death will be quick." Dodoria dropped to the ground in an instant, his now lifeless body stopped entirely. "So…" she thought, "Who might this Frieza be? It's clear that he's in charge of these weaklings." Now with another mission, Leek walked off behind the cliffs, where she saw someone unexpected.

Behind the cliff was the Saiyan from Earth, Vegeta. He seemed a little bit in shock, but quickly overcame it when he realised that he was being watched. "Just how strong are you?" he asked, "Those two were some of Frieza's best men and you crushed them like ants."

"It's nice to see you too, my Prince." Leek answered whilst giving a little bow, "Now I have to ask, but are you with that 'Frieza' that I've heard about?"

"Are you stupid?" Vegeta answered, "There's no way that Vegeta, the Prince of all Saiyans, would serve that creature. I assume that you have something against him?"

"That bastard destroyed our home!" Leek responded, "I want to tear him to shreds, with these two hands!"

"I knew that already." Vegeta replied, "Looks like me and you have something in common. I'm going to use the dragon-balls, and become immortal. Then not even Frieza could stop me!"

"No." Leek argued, "There's no need to use such things on a pathetic creature like that. I have trained long and hard, my power level even surpasses that of your father, King Vegeta. I'm going to rip that bastard limb from limb, with my own power."

"You underestimate your opponent." Vegeta told her, "Frieza may be sc.u.m, but he's powerful sc.u.m. He destroyed Planet Vegeta in a single attack. His power exceeds all known limits. If you rush in and attack, you'll die."

"Then so be it." Leek answered, "As long as I take that sc.u.m down with me, I'm happy dying."

"Then, at the very least, you should steal the dragon-balls that he already has." Vegeta replied, "Without them, he can't make his wish."

"Will do, my Prince." Leek responded, "…"

"What is it?" Vegeta asked, "Is something coming?"

"Power signatures." Leek answered, "Five, very powerful energy signatures are coming to the planet. These are some of the strongest powers I've come across so far."

"...!" Vegeta began to back up in shock, "It's them…the Ginyu Force is coming. But why? We have to move fast."

"Right." Leek said. She quickly took off and searched for the power signature of that ball shape that she felt before. It was in a different place this time. Leek swiftly sped toward the signature, until she was floating above a massive, round ship. Its design was similar to the battle armour that Frieza's goons wore. On the ground, she could see five glowing, orange balls roughly the size of her head. She assumed that they were the dragon-balls. "There they are. Now, how to grab them without being seen…" She came up with an idea. "Frieza needs all seven balls to make a wish, so if I only take one, I can stop him." With that, she dropped down quickly, grabbed a single ball, and shot back up and flew off.

Eventually, she came to a stop at a cave entrance. Upon entering it, Leek found that Bulma was already in there, setting up something. She noticed Leek enter, and was surprised.

"Leek?" she questioned, "What are you doing back here?…" she noticed the orange ball stored under her arm. "Did you find one already?!" she burst out, "They're so much bigger than the ones on Earth."

"Bulma." Leek said, "I need you to look after this, keep it safe at all costs."

"Of course." Bulma replied, "But where are you going?"

"I need to hide this ball." Leek told her, "From some very powerful fighters. They're coming this way, and they absolutely cannot touch this ball. So if I'm away, they won't be able to tell your power level apart from a Namekian. The ball will be safely hidden until all seven are gathered."

"That doesn't answer my question properly." Bulma reacted, "Where are you going?"

"To go fight those bastards." Leek answered, "In the time that I was there on Earth, watching you all, I came to like the people in it. I like its culture. And if sc.u.m like Frieza and his goons are allowed to exist, they may take that from me as well. I refuse to let him take anything else from me, that's why I'll kill him, or die trying." With that, Leek left the cave and moved to some desolate area. She sat and meditated on what she would do about the incoming signals.
