"Yes, Joker, Harley Quinn." Batman replied to his words in a slow and sincere way. What happened to Harley Quinn during that bank robbery was unspeakable, but Joker was finally starting to remember.

"Harley..... Harley....." the Joker kept repeating as Batman watched him. Usually, the Joker took Harley for granted and as someone who was just on the same ride with him. However, his feelings towards her would shift after such a devastating event occurred right in front of his eyes.

"Hey Batsy, remember that time when I was on the hot air balloon throwing down small smile bombs that poisoned citizens of Gotham? I would have got everyone if it wasn't for you and your Bat family getting in my way for what seemed like the thousandth time!"

It was as if the Joker went from a simply clown to a broken down soul that had no hope or aspirations. That night, what was taken from him was more than just Harley, his laugh was also stolen from him!

It would not seem like much for the Joker to not laugh, but these days, he wouldn't even let out a smile or a smirk. Instead his eyes would remain widened as if he was a mindless zombie trapped in his own little world.

"Goodbye Joker." Batman called out as he finally started to head out of Arkham Asylum. Not only was he upset that he couldn't get any clues from the woman, but he was also annoyed that the Joker, although making progress, was still absolutely no help.

Once Batman left the room and started to head back, Joker's eyes started to adjust a little more to look sad but more normal. "You can gather every army that earth has to offer and it still would not be enough." he started to say.

"No, if you gathered every army in the universe itself, it still would not be enough to stop that force. Maybe the next time I meet them, I will accept that offer and get my laughter back." the Joker said before his eyes and face changed yet again as he started screaming.

Unfortunately, for Batman, he did not hear any of this information and Dr.Fate's memory ball he left here to record the woman, would not record anything that Joker just mentioned.

With no warnings, how would Batman and the rest of earth's heroes hope to defeat this evil threat that lurks in the shadows? The only thing for certain, was that even villains who did not join this threat were subjected to the same dangers.
