DC- New Age

Chapter 13 - Lex Luthor(s)?

Alexander, having just eaten his fill and his fair share of alcohol now just laid down on his bed and drifted off into a calm and peaceful sleep.

'Wait, Wait! It's too damn peaceful!' Alexander suddenly realized, but no matter what, he couldn't seem to prevent his eyes from closing. He felt like they weighed unbearably heavy, and trust me when I say Alexander could lift a lot. 'shit!' was all he could think before everything went black.

After what seemed like an eternity, he finally could feel his eyes again, so the first thing he did was open his eyes.

'Why do my eyes feel so heavy? did I barely escape my death? was I poisoned? or was it that damn illness which was going around a lot?' However, he was extremely shocked when he found himself in the body of a baby.

'So those damn Hindus were correct, reincarnation truly exists' this was all he could think before he was pulled back into the void again, except this time, in front of him were two other beings, one a tiny toddler which was staring at him fascinatingly, while the other...

'wait, what is this...' Alexander looked at the other human donning a weirdly shaped full-body armour, pointing his closed fist at his face (would have been his shoulder but the other guy was much bigger)

He looked at it weirdly and was about to do the same gesture when suddenly he felt a shiver, however, that was soon replaced by confusion and amazement when a melodious song played from the man's armour (>>insert astronomia<<) (link in the comment section for idiots who don't know the song).

The man opened his mouth and told him "A storm's not going to save you this time" which made him raise his eyebrows for a second in thought before widening his eyes as it dawned on him. That, however, was the last thought he ever had as his head was blown to pieces by an invisible beam which made his head go poof. His body, now headless, soon turned to tiny particles and entered the man, while the baby was now clapping gleefully at the disappearance act performed.

The man in the weird suit now bent down to the baby, who seemed to be asking for a lift and took him up in his arms, rubbing its back, which the baby seemed to enjoy and hence giggled. The man now said "Don't worry kiddo, I'll protect you no matter how many times, after all, I trust and protect only 4 kinds of people...1. those on whom my life depends on, 2. those whom I can manipulate and control completely, 3. those who are useful to me, 4. myself." the man smiled as he continued "You kiddo, fit all of the above" after he said this, he continued patting and rubbing the baby's back while his suit played a nursery rhyme in a different language, which the baby seemed to be interested in and happily clapped to.
