Defeat The Gods(An ATG Fanfiction)

After 30 minutes when they are done with resting, taking care of the beast corpse and recovered about 40% of their profound energy, they turned to leave that place. But much to their dismay, around 10 - 12 true spirit realm feral wolves surrounded them.

Xiao Che inwardly cursing himself. Actually it just happened to be the day when he sent his thunder winged eagle Little Blue with a letter to let their family know about their well being as he is thought using profound sound stone for each communication is wasteful. Last six months every ten day he would do it and Little Blue would return in around two hours, one hour to reach floating cloud city, one hour to return back. There is still half an hour left for its returning. Usually they wouldn't be surrounded like this since Little Blue would be on scouting most of time. But now, with some bloody coincidences, they are surrounded by a pack of feral wolf. From the looks of it, the pack is not small either, it is highly likely that the pack contains a feral alpha, which is at least mid level of spirit profound realm. If their luck is not good, it might be even at late stage of spirit profound realm.

Seeing such a scene Xia Qingyue and Xiao Lingxi felt their blood run cold, but Xia Qingyue soon regain control of her emotion. Xiao Lingxi on the other hand wasn't faring good. Seeing that Xiao Che didn't feel any good. If they are scared with only this much odd, how are they going to do in dragon god's trial. He solemnly said,

-Little aunt, concentrate. The more you are afraid, the advantage they will have. Go up on that tree and switch to flack mode (Author note: The profound cannon has three mode, sniper mode, rapid fire mode, and flack mode. What they do is self explanatory by their name). Be on defensive. Yue'er, Yuanba be protect little aunt. Don't let any wolf jump towards her. I shall handle the rest.

By the time he gave out command, the number of wolves had increased to 21. Outside the encirclement there can be seen 3 extra large silhouettes of wolf. 2 of them at stage 4 and 5 of spirit profound realm, last one is at stage 8 of spirit profound realm. He thought, no wonder the pack is so huge. 3 pack joined into one under that big one's leadership. Looks like they have developed fundamental intelligence too. So under such circ.u.mstances he had no choice. He made some hand signs and shouted "release" and the profound formation of gravity on their cloths were lifted. Everyone looked at him astonishingly. So the fight began with 3 wolf jumping at Xiao Che at the same time from three direction pointing at his head, c.h.e.s.t and legs. But just before they could reach him, he divided into four copies of himself. When the wolf got confused at first they they each went for one. But all three turned out fake as they vanished. The last one already behind the three wolves. He did a horizontal slash and three wolves were swatted away to Xia Qingyue and Xia Yuanba injured. Xiao Che released a sigh inwardly, [I really miss Hong'er now. With her, these wolves would have blasted to smithereens].

Xia siblings quickly took care of the injured wolves. Meanwhile some wolves tried to attack Xia siblings and jumped at Lingxi, but they were stopped by flack shots of profound energy from her cannon. Xia siblings were also on defensive as ordered and only tried to kill injured one within their reach. Meanwhile using star god's broken shadow, he moved in and out of wolves and continued to slaughter them. Right now, his true profound grade sword just held him back. Due to his bodily strength and low quality material it is already chipped at a lot of places.

When number of wolves went down to 9, an unexpected thing happened. One of wolf alpha which were 5th level of spirit profound realm, made it's way towards Xia Yuanba, the weakest of the group. Even at their peak condition, the three of them don't have the capability to stop it. Lingxi's flack shot of profound energy just bounced off it's body. May be concentrated sniper shot would do some substantial damage, but it came too quickly to switch fire mode. Xia Qingyue tried to stop it but she was flung aside with a swipe off claw before she could land a blow with her sword. Xia Yuanba steeled himself and swiped his great sword. But the wolf practically disregarded the attack and there were only a big chip on the sword as a result. The difference between sword's grade and the wolf's body is too grade.

Xia Qingyue felt like something inside her heart had been tore apart. Would she have to see her own brother being ripped to shreds by a damned wolf? How would she face her parents? How would she face herself after this? Despair is the only thing written on her face. But moment the wolf is about to chomp down on Xia Yuanba, a thin flash of light had been seen across its neck. The next moment its head slid off from it's neck and gush of fresh blood dyed Xia Yuanba red. He confusedly looked at his side to find Xiao Che standing with a weird looking thin and carved sword with blue handle while blood dripped from it. Yuanba was captivated by the sight of his savior but Xiao Che's next word brought him out of his stupor.

-Keep yourself together Yuanba. Fight is not over yet.

-Yes, brother-in-law.

Xia Yuanba answered while Xia Qingyue has an ashamed expression. It should have been her who save her brother as she has the highest cultivation of the group. But she failed miserably and again had to depend on her fiance. As much as she love him, she hates the idea of depending on him as it makes her feel like she is not worthy of being with him. That's the reason she frantically cultivated. But that's turned out all for naught. Not only she had failed doing her supposed duty, she almost lost her brother if not for her fiance. She hated herself for that, she hated being weak. [Author note: Alright you are exaggerating things way too much, Xia Qingyue. LOL]
