Mark saw that aside from the mini theater that the circus caravan people were constructing, they also had their camp composed of several big house-like colorful carts pulled by huge animals.  The animals that were pulling their caravans were different from each other. There were bird-like animals that resembled ostriches, huge lizard-like animals, muscular cows with four horns, and even some that looked like insects.

The caravan was bigger than Mark was expecting. The different coloring reminded him of gypsies, and he wondered how they manage hygiene. He saw that the circus caravan people were not offended by the villagers who were touring their campsites, so he joined the group who did the touring. Mark saw that some of the caravans opened mini-stores with different varieties of products that they were selling.

Some sell jewelry and trinkets, some sell spices and clothing, and some, furniture, and food. Mark was sure that the variety of the products was entertainment in itself for the locals who viewed them. He was not tempted to purchase anything at all since his Inventory had more products, useful or otherwise, from modern earth, and sad to say that the majority of them were for entertainment purposes. He was deathly afraid of being bored. His home and warehouse on the 11th floor of his personal dungeon were also filled with items from modern Earth as well. He even had cars, motorcycles, and RV homes.

Mark and the rest of the youths of the village explored the circus caravan campsite and the mini theater for hours. He felt like he was in Comic-Con. The clothing of the caravan people looked like cosplay. Some were wearing magician outfits; some were wearing gypsy clothes, and some were wearing clown clothing. The caravan people themselves consisted of different races. He also saw that the caravan people also had children among them.

Nearing lunchtime, he saw that the majority of the entertainment caravan people were preparing to cook but most of them went to the inn to eat.

In a bit of whimsy, Mark borrowed one of the stalls from the caravan people. The stall had an enclosure inside that had a bit of privacy, so he replicated different types of donuts that were in his Inventory and arranged them on the stall. The smell of the sugar, cream, jam, and jellies-filled donuts was intoxicating. He replicated about 100 boxes and each box had a dozen different varieties of donuts and he arranged them on the stall selling each donut for two iron bits each.  He made a rule that each person can only buy one donut.

When Mark flipped the sign that he assumed said open for business, a lot of the caravan people went to check his wares. When one of the girls from the caravan bought a chocolate éclair and bit it, Mark was embarrassed to hear the girl moan. When the people saw the girl’s expression after eating one of the donuts, they flocked to Mark’s stall and after 30 minutes, all of his products were gone. He gave his earnings to the owner of the stall since he only did the selling for entertainment purposes.

Mark received compliments from different people that his “bread” was delicious. After that entertaining interlude, He resumed his caravan-watching.

By late afternoon, the mini theater was done, and the first show was going to be held in about one hour.  Mark bought himself a ticket and waited for the show to start.

Mark was embarrassed to see that the first show was a magic show for kids but fortunately, he was not the only adult watching. Lorendo the magician was an expert when he showed his tricks in the theater. When the magic show started, Mark assumed that since this was a magic world, most of the tricks would be from actual spells but from what he could see, most of the tricks were sleight of hands. It was still very entertaining nevertheless and Mark enjoyed the show very much.

After the show, there was an hour interlude before the next one would begin. Mark walked to one of Lorendo’s assistants. A blonde male teenager.

“Hi! My name is Mark and I’m also a visitor to this village.”

“Hello, I’m Totin. How can I help you?”

“How long will your caravan stay in the village?”

“We usually stay in a village for three days and after that, we move on.”

Mark asked the teenager a lot of questions regarding their caravan. He asked about their daily life on the road, the dangers they encountered, how they defended themselves, and more. Totin said that he loved his life on the circus. Almost every day was an adventure according to the guy and most danger were handled by their caravan leader and his assistants since the leader was an expert warrior.

According to the teenager, most of the adults in the caravan knew how to defend themselves and they even had some mages with them. The young teenager also complimented Mark on his donuts and said that that was one of the best confectionaries he had tasted, rivaling the one he ate in one of the cities they’d visited.

Mark then asked the kid how he joined the caravan. Totin said that he was one of the farmers in one of the villages that the caravan passed through and since he was an orphan and a decent acrobat, he was allowed to join the caravan.

Mark then asked the teenager to introduce him to the caravan leader since he had the intention of joining them on their travel to one of the cities. The young man then led Mark to one of the most luxurious caravans in the group. He saw a big muscular man shouting instructions to three different people. The big guy looked like a warrior instead of a caravan leader. After the man paused in giving instruction, Totin introduced Mark to the caravan leader.

“Hamil, this is Mark. He expressed interest in joining our caravan in traveling to one of the cities. Mark, this is Hamil, our leader.”

“Hello, Hamil. As Totin said, I’m interested in joining you. I’m willing to pay my way.”

“You’re the one who sold those delicious bread! It was one of the best that I’ve ever tasted, and you only sold those for two iron bits each and from what I’ve learned, you didn’t even keep the money and just gave it to Brolin.”

“Yeah, just wanted to join in the fun.”
