Delayed Transfer

Mark then told everybody that they wouldn’t need to carry bags anymore since he also found a storage ring.  He then showed to everybody the ring and each one of them tested it.  He then asked if anybody wanted to be the porter and Sam actually suggested to sell it to Donald Dren for more money and have him or Elizabeth carry it.

Mark decided to follow Sam’s suggestion and told everybody that more than likely he would be able to find more Storage Accessory with even larger capacity on lower floors.  Enleed was still playing with the wand and said that he couldn’t wait for next Sunday to come so they could dungeon dive.  After their meeting, everybody parted ways and did their thing while Mark called Donald and shared to him what they talked about. 

Donald said that he couldn’t wait to check out the wand and also said that of course he would purchase the Storage Ring.  Donald mentioned that if they could crack even a minute detail about the space storage technology or magic used on the item, it would revolutionize their technology possibly hundreds of years in advance.  Then suddenly Donald said that he couldn’t wait anymore and would arrive in Mark’s place in an hour to check out the ring.

After an hour, Donald arrived and Mark showed him the ring.  When Donald tested it with various items in the house, he looked like a kid who opened his Christmas present early.  Mark told Donald that he could take the ring but he would need to bring it back on Sunday so they could use it to store the loot items from the dungeon and Donald agreed.

Donald didn’t stay long.  He talked to Mark for a few more minutes and then departed.  Mark thought that more than likely, the establishment of Donald’s research center would receive an order to hasten the completion date.

The next day, everybody went out to do their business and Sam mentioned that he would be bringing the laptop and hard drives with him in the evening.  Instead of going directly to the 14th floor, Mark decided to start building his villa in the 11th floor.  He watch the first video on how to build the villa first and followed the instruction on how to lay the foundation. 

Mark found it effortless to follow the instruction on the video since his physical stat, Telekinesis, and Space Floating Disc helped him a lot.  After around three hours, Mark stopped and was proud of himself on how far along he had completed so far and by his estimate, if he worked on the villa for around a couple of hours everyday, it would probably only take him three to four weeks to finish it.

Mark went outside of the dungeon for a little bit to check if there was any emergency that he would receive on his phone and since there were no messages, he went directly to the 14th floor.

When he arrived on the 14th floor, Mark saw that it was still a desert but he could see a lot of rock formation in the distance.  He stopped for a little while and marveled at the desert scenery.  He wondered if the Sahara Desert looked the same and thought that maybe he should include the Sahara in his plans to travel the world.

Mark thought of the fact that it had only been a couple of weeks ever since he received the System.  So many things happened to him and now he had money and a beautiful house. And he was powerful now at least compared to regular people on earth.  He could even cure all kinds of diseases if he wanted to.  He decided then and there that a week before transmigration, he would spend the remaining time using his powers to cure as many people as he could and more than likely by then, he would have the skills to travel fast.

Mark only wished that he could experience romance just like his parent’s love story.  It was really beautiful, just like the movies.  He knew it would be unfair to anyone who would fall in love with him since he would disappear from this world and the System clearly stated that he wouldn’t be able to bring anyone with him since all living beings that were going to be with him in the dungeon at the time of transmigration would be teleported back to the real world.

Mark’s mother really loved romance comedies so ever since he was a child, he was bombarded by movies starring Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks and all of the others who frequently starred in Rom-Coms.  He asked his mother why he loved romance movies so much and his mother said it was because romance comedies seemed like magical fairy tales to her and when she was younger, she thought that it would never happen in real life but then she said that it did happen to her.  She said to him that his father was so handsome he looked like a prince and was so kind that she thought that she might have suffered on her past life to deserve such a huge reward on this life.  Mark knew that his father felt the same way for his mother and after their death, he really believed that good things were rejected by the world.

Mark thought that looking at such sceneries did bring him some weird introspection.   He tried to dispel his melancholy and continued travelling the 14th floor.

The first group of monsters that he encountered were still desert Lizard Folk but he could actually see and elite Lizard wearing a magician’s robe.  Mark got excited because usually items from magic type monsters especially elites were really good.

Mark summoned the Forest Guardian golems to check their battle capability and together with the Tree Golems and Bush Golems, he commanded them to attack the enemies.  He didn’t forget to cast Invisibility so he could observed without being attacked.

Mark’s golems were holding their own without any problems but it would really take a long time for them to defeat the enemy so after a few more minutes of observation, he attacked the enemies using his Plant Mage skills.  He first cast Swamp of Briar to slow down the enemy then cast Thorn Whip, Thorn Spike Field and Thorn Spike Barrage and he targeted the elite and the tougher monster with Thorn Spike and Abyssal Thorn.  After a few minutes, all the enemies were dead.
