Delayed Transfer

The multitude of rock spires that Mark saw in the distance made him suspicious since more than likely they were going to be the enemy camps.  After he looted all the items that remained Unidentified, he floated to the nearest rock spire. 

Mark thought that he had such a weak will.  First, he said to himself that he would walk everywhere to temper his will, now he was floating again since he found the ground uncomfortable.  He just shrugged and thought that with this kind of lifestyle, sooner or later he would find plenty of opportunities to train his will so he thought that he shouldn’t let himself unnecessary suffer.

The enemy group that Mark found on the nearest rock spire was actually a group of lion pride but the lions were different.  Each of the lions and lionesses were surrounded by an armor of rock and when he identified them, they were unsurprisingly called Rock Lions.  There were six of them which were immediately alerted when he identified one of them causing the pride to run to him fast. 

Mark immediately cast Swamp of Briar followed by Glacial Void to slow the enemies down then he refreshed his Space Shield and Bark Skin just in case.  After that he cast his resource management skills like the Floating Sunflower, Bed of Daisies and Dryad’s Circle.  He then hurled spells at the lions one after another.  First it was Void Chain Lightning followed by Void Storm then Glacial Void again and lastly Void Tsunami which killed all of the enemies.  After taking the loot, he moved forward immediately.

On the next rock spire, he was surprised that it was also a different group of enemies.  Normally in the previous floors, the type of enemies would only consist of three or four types and their elite counter parts but now, he just started the 15th dungeon and he already encountered four different type of mobs.  Desert Crocodiles, Desert Lizard Folk, Rock Lions and now he was seeing three Desert Cyclops. 

The Desert Cyclops were gigantic but he thought of something entertaining.  He summoned his Forest Guardian golems and commanded them to fight the Desert Cyclops each and the third one were surrounded by the Bush and Tree Golems that he also summoned.  Mark was very surprised that the Forest Guardians were actually holding their own and he found that the guardians had an innate HP regeneration.

The Bush Golems and the Tree Golems killed their Desert Cyclops first since they had the advantage of numbers and then they went and assisted  the Forest Guardian which hasten the next two Desert Cyclop’s defeat.  He looted the enemies and moved forward.

It was midmorning when Mark decided to take a rest and partake some meals to alleviate his hunger.  While eating, he entertained himself by looking at the lonely rock spires in the distance reaching out to the sky.  The desolate land provoked a melancholy emotion within Mark and he knew that it was not beneficial for him to wallow in these types of negative emotions.

Mark thought of the fact that he was desperate in collecting all the entertainment media that he planned to store in his 11th floor villa.   He knew that it was a dangerous plan because he was actually creating a solitary hiding place that would allow him to stay isolated and it was not healthy for him.  He thought that since he already started, he might as well see it through and it didn’t mean that he would always stay in the villa once he transmigrate.

Mark continued resting after eating while thinking of the possible places he would be transmigrated to.  He really hoped that he would live well in the next world.  He hoped that he would have an adventure but he also hoped to start a family even if the family consisted of friends and team mate that would go through thick and thin with him.  He would really like to share his hobbies to his future friends in the next world and honestly, that was really the  main reason he was collecting them.

Mark thought that if he was transmigrated to a medieval world, he could start a theater cinema or maybe an internet café just like one of his favorite Chinese Web Novel where the main character received a system that commanded him to create an internet café in a cultivation world.  He really loved that novel because not only it was about the protagonist becoming strong, it was really about the family that he found through the customers that got addicted to the computer games.

Mark stopped his introspection and moved forward in conquering the 15th floor.  The next group of enemies were rather large.  It was cackle of hyena with rock armor as well and when he identified one of them, they were called, again unsurprisingly, Rock Hyena.  He tried counting them but he stopped when he went past ten and since they were running to him fast, he cast Swamp of Briar and Glacial Void to slow or freeze them.  Mark then hurled his spells one after another holding off in summoning his golems since blasting off the enemies were faster.  After a few round of spell casting, all of the Rock Hyenas were dead.

The next group of enemies, Mark knew would be the flying type since he could see them surrounding the upper part of a rock spire in the distance.  When he was near enough he saw that they were Desert Vampire Vultures according to Identify. He cast his Space Tower to it’s maximum height and hurled a Void Chain Lightning at the flying mob.  He fully utilized his pushing spells like Void Push, Void Wave and Void Tsunami to push the flying vultures away from him.  After of few round of spell casting, all of the Desert Vampire Vultures died without getting near him.

Mark completed the 15th floor without any mishaps and it was expected because of his high level.  He was thankful for the System that this dungeon was really a “Boon” and not a challenge.  It meant that the system did try to help him by increasing his strength before transmigrating and he realized that the other System Holders would be the same.  He was really curious but changed his mind on trying to find anyone of them because more than likely, they would be very strong as well before transmigration and they wouldn’t be in the same world anyways.
