Returning a smile as bright as the sun from my previous home on Earth, the girl said, "Right! Two of your "cheats" were the bestowment of a system and the transfer to Universe JKL 0309. While I can't do anything about your transfer and you'll definitely have to start in that universe with absolutely nothing. I can temporarily stop the transfer and let you choose whether or not you want to override the system that idiot gave you in favor of my own."

"Um… I still don't even know what kind of system either of you have, so could you list of the pros and cons of both?" Honestly, I keep telling her I was previously just a regular human and she keeps spouting out terms that I can't make sense of!

"Well, his system is the basic babying system that essentially gives you a free ride to invincibility within your starting universe. Since he's supplying the shop and rewards for the system and wants you to get up to the deity level as soon as possible, you can expect a lot of free abilities and cheats just thrown your way." Up until this point, it seemed like she was more interested in selling the idea of the Voidseeker's system onto me, more than anything.

However, as her face morphed into one similar to mine, she almost arrogantly said, "Unfortunately, all the garbage he gives you will only suffice in getting you to the deity level, nothing more. What else can you expect from a sc.u.mbag like him? Even the first cheat he gave you, that Primal Resurrection, was conducted with false chaos. Additionally, every time you accept something from his system you'll essentially be condensing the positive karmic lines he's managed to force unto you, granting him a better chance to succeed in his plan to refine me out of your soul..."

"Wowzers," I said, continuing with the roll of my eyes and a sarcastic, "So what can your override do for me?"

"Me? Well, in exchange for removing most of the babying features designed to falsify your growth, I can give your system the ability to learn and start mastery over any and all techniques. While my override will take away the basic system's shop and lottery systems, I can use my powers over fate to augment whatever rewards you receive from completing missions to make them all the more valuable."

"That's it?" I asked, not at all understanding the absurdity of what it meant to be able to learn and start mastering any and every skill under the sun. The violet-robed girl looked a bit defeated as she sunk down from her high horse and weakly said, "I… I… Oh! Because my powers over fate will influence the rewards given to you from completing missions, the karmic bonds deepened from receiving rewards will also severely weaken from what they could potentially turn out to be..."

The girl's near-instantaneous change from arrogant to bleak was impressive to say the least, as she looked to me for approval while saying, "My… my abilities aren't impressive yet, but if you cultivate potential for my system you will you be better prepared to fend off the Voidseeker once breaking into the deity level. I know you'll expect a certain bias hearing this from me, but I promise my system is better than the one granted from the Voidseeker! My fate is tied to yours so even if you have to think of me as being selfish and acting solely on self-preservation, believe me and pick my system! I don't have a sliver of doubt in my mind that you'll see how much I care about you as we journey together..."

Mhmm… these two options presented before me equally seemed like bullshit. On one side there was the obvious scam of the Voidseeker, whose system was probably described quite accurately by the girl. And then the girl herself, who's system seemed to be weaker but more advantageous for me in the long run. But, that was only the case if she wasn't lying to my face… Still, there truly seemed to be a connection between us now that I was taking the time to focus on her. While I don't know if it was a resonance between souls or whatever, I felt a subtle trust for her.

At least the girl's system had a chance of it not being a scam, so it was with little extra thoughts that I agreed to let her override my system. After I said, "Do whatever you want..." She literally jumped for joy as she ran circles around me before saying, "You'll understand our bond soon enough!" Thereafter, she turned into a streak of golden light which seemed reminiscent of a dove to me, and after flying straight into my c.h.e.s.t, some more message started ringing across my mind.
